RE: February 2016Edit

Looking at the article you provided, I guess I did jump the gun with the February 2016 Lists. (I was wondering why they didn't move "Dark Magician of Chaos" to Limited, at least.) But is it alright if I ask what you mean by "brainstorming"? --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 03:24, February 4, 2016 (UTC)

Oh, I see. Now that you've mentioned it, should there be a section in the "Forbidden/Limited" template that would include a section for adjusted lists (assuming this would only be exclusive to the TCG)? --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 04:09, February 4, 2016 (UTC)

Special Edition PrefixesEdit

Hey there, UltiK (yeah, "UltimateKuriboh" is too big, hope you don't mind).
The prefixes for Special Editions on the TCG Set Prefixes page and on the Special Edition page are not in agreement (example: SHSP-SE vs. SHSP-ENSE, respectively). I'm aware the EN part is for the English language, so shouldn't "SHSP-SE" be the correct one (the same applying to the other sets)? Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:10, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

Okey dokey. I'll correct the page and tag the wrong ones for deletion. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:36, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

(RE:New Episode pages)Edit

Why did you delete my pages about Arc-V? They have been confirmed by official leaks, where do you think I got this information from then? —This unsigned comment was made by YuGi Mon Cards (talkcontribs) 07:41, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

About episode 47, in the upcoming episodes that whenever someone would interrupt a duel , they would still get the 2000 LP penalty even though the Arc League championship is over. So it can be said that Yugo not getting the 2000 LP penalty could be an error.

Changing Statuses?Edit

I took your advice and made an "Adjusted Lists" section on the "Forbidden/Limited Lists" template. The question is, should I still change the affected cards' statuses, since tomorrow's February 8? And while I'm at it, should I also add older Lists that had to be "adjusted", i.e. the ones for May 2008? Please respond! --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 15:04, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

Oops; I accidentally changed the statuses already (by that, I meant I did it on the "Forbidden", "Limited", "Semi-Limited" and "Unlimited" pages). You are more than welcome to revert my edits. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 03:30, February 8, 2016 (UTC)
Wait, so I shouldn't have changed the status in each card? I only read this now.
But why not? It still affects most of the tournaments. Especially official ones, right? The stores have the right to choose if they wish to use it or not. But aren't the stores always free to use a specific custom list? The same applies if you're playing with your friends at home, you can agree to use certain cards that are not allowed or limit cards.
So, if it affects official tournaments, how can we provide info at the card page that the card is Limited/Forbidden, but only for certain/most and not all events? Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:02, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

Special Editions Box NamesEdit

Sorry to bother you again, man. You're probably sick of me now. Could you tell me if this is named correctly? Or should it be "GLAS-PromoFR"? Because this one follows that pattern I suggest, and is not named "NECHS-PromoDE". I'm asking because I wanted to re-upload it (and some other stuff) as ".png". Yes, I know I'll have to check the WhatLinksHere page to see where all the instances are used, etc., don't worry. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:37, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

So should these (like GLAS' one) be changed? If so, how should it be handled? Should I upload a new one with the name, in the GLAS' particular case, of "GLAS-PromoFR.png", and tag the existing ones for deletion? Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:57, February 7, 2016 (UTC)
Right. I'm on to it. Though I'll do these changes slowly. Thanks. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:03, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

Jessie's Decks.Edit

Sorry, but I needed a sort of placeholder for the real decks. Bear with it a while longer, I'm doing an anime run of every duelist from GX. Viper's deck will be next after I get the cards for it. Thing is, Viper must have taken lessons from Misty cause I say Reptillianne's Naga and Scylla in them. Anyway, stay in touch, I'll be back.

(Official Episode Release)Edit

Special Edition PicsEdit

Hey. Just to make sure. Ex1; Ex2.
It's supposed to be the latter, right? Though it's not perfect since it points to a hypothetical Main Set Limited Edition. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:11, February 10, 2016 (UTC)

Oh, right, right. I asked because I could swear something was fishy with it. But now it's ok. Well, maybe it was just my browser or something.
Ah you changed the template, right?
Sure. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:18, February 10, 2016 (UTC)
Got it. I'll try to not mess things up, in case I need to do that. Thanks for the tips. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:48, February 10, 2016 (UTC)

Special Editions Box Names againEdit

Me again. So, I changed this ("RGBTSE-PromoEN") to this ("RGBT-PromoEN"), but I found this ("RGBTPP-PromoEN") already existed. I guess that's one of those special cases, right? It's even in ".png" already and all. Though I think that pic could find a better name, to be honest.
Also, I changed this ("ANPRSE-PromoEN") to this ("ANPR-PromoEN") and found something with the name "ANPR-PromoEN.jpg" was on a page. As you can see, there's no file nor article for it yet. How should that name be handled? The same applies to this ("ABPF-PromoEN"). How will I deal with this ("ABPFSE-PromoEN"), since a "ABPF-PromoEN" already exists? Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:38, February 11, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, let me see if I got this straight:
I should request this to be changed into "DPCTPP-PromoEN.png"? Because "DPCT-PromoEN.png" already exists.
And I should request this to be changed into "ANPRSE-PromoEN.png", is that it?
Finally, I changed "ANPR-PromoEN" and "SOVR-PromoEN" to "ANPRTK-PromoEN" and to "SOVRTK-PromoEN". But then I found this ("PRIO-PlusEN"), also a "plus" pack. It doesn't contain tokens nor have the "TK" sufix, but it's a "plus" pack nevertheless. So shouldn't "ANPRTK-PromoEN" and "SOVRTK-PromoEN" be more correct as "ANPR-PlusEN" and "SOVR-PlusEN"? Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:10, February 11, 2016 (UTC)
Oh, one more thing that came into my mind: I've been tagging the pics already in ".png" for a rename (example). Am I doing it good or should I just re-upload them and tag the existing ones for deletion? If I may give my humble opinion, renaming them seems best, as it will save any file history. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:16, February 12, 2016 (UTC)
And based on what I said above, what's your opinion on the Plus packs naming? Personally would prefer them as "ABBR-PlusLN", I think it works better and it's more intuitive, but you make the last call. And this is the last question I make you in a long time, I promise you, man. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:02, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

Is it ok to edit an user's post just to change the pics? I didn't change those because I thought I shouldn't do it. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:43, February 13, 2016 (UTC)

Ah, right, right. Thanks, man. You've been a great help to me. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:56, February 13, 2016 (UTC)

Royal DecreeEdit

It's a trap card that nullifies the effects of all other trap cards. Seriously, you only need to click a link to figure that out. Jykale (talkcontribs) 18:47, February 11, 2016 (UTC)

Pics Templates ProblemsEdit

Sorry to bother you again. Here are some problems I detected and have been trying to solve, but haven't been successful:

  • There's that red link pointing to a First Edition gallery. I know this (I manipulated it just to bring the error out, so I can see how the template works) needs to be changed to "LE". So it's something to do with this here. All the Proxies seem to point to First Edition galleries, and since the "edition" parameter is left blank when uploading proxies, I have no idea how that can be changed. To be honest, the proxies pointing to First Edition galleries doesn't seem to be the most correct thing either. So maybe changing all the proxies to point to other thing (like a proxy gallery, or the card gallery), instead of the respective First Edition galleries could solve it.
  • Problem2, applying to all cards form here (I'll update that do Dino's template when I have more time):
  • All the cards point to "Set Card Galleries:Beginner's Edition 1 (OCG-JP)" instead of "Set Card Galleries:Beginner's Edition 1 (2011) (OCG-JP)", and I can't understand why. Everything seems to be in order here and here.

Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:57, February 14, 2016 (UTC)

I've fixed the first problem (though it's possible the fix broke links on some other Official Proxy (and maybe other release-type) images, so if you happen to be looking at any of them, keep an eye out for new redlinks), though the image is now displaying an unneeded move notice (which I'm pretty sure is just a cache problem).
The second problem isn't as easy a fix; I'm not sure it can be fixed without having a hardcoded list of sets in the template. It would probably be much simpler just to have some redirects in place for now. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:53, February 14, 2016 (UTC)
Ah, now you just have to introduce the edition, if it's "Limited Edition", right? Thanks, Dino!
I re-uploaded this as ".png" and with that naming scheme, but the renaming notice still appears.
And I tried to re-upload this as ".png" and got a warning saying the file was too big. What should I do in this case?
As for the last matter, I have no idea why that happens, because it appears as "Beginner's Edition 1 (2011)" in the template. I'm still not very acquainted with these languages, but this seemed easy to understand. If the template displays "Beginner's Edition 1 (2011)", why does it appear as "Beginner's Edition 1" in the card file? Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:33, February 15, 2016 (UTC)
Yep, this one has a broken link because it points to First Edition galleries as well. But this one isn't a Limited Edition, so...
And I've been changing "Limited Edition" proxies, but given this... I think I better stop. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:13, February 15, 2016 (UTC)
The move notice and broken link problems should be solved now, per my talk page, so you can resume if you haven't already.
For the poster, you should try shrinking it some. As a JPEG, it's over 5mb in size, so I'm guessing after converting it to PNG, it's over 20, which is absolutely massive. Reduce its dimensions some and its size should come way down.
The BE01 link problem is because the template trims any text in parentheses from the set name before generating that link, which is needed for correct links where the set name given has something like "(Japanese)". The way the template is currently designed, there's no way I could fix that without a hardcoded exception, which I would prefer not to do.
On a more general note, you can link to images using the same syntax you use to link to other pages (i.e. like this), without embedding them, if you insert a colon at the beginning: :File:InfernityGeneral-YF03-JP-OP.pngFile:InfernityGeneral-YF03-JP-OP.png. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:37, February 18, 2016 (UTC)
Right! I'll re-upload them soon.
Ah, I see. The other way would be changing the set name. Maybe just removing the parenthesis? The majority of pages use templates to get the name, so some purges would update the names. But I don't know if it would be that easy, to be honest.
Ah, thanks for the tip! I actually figured it out yesterday morning, only. Sometimes I'm slow at some things. But thank you, man! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:56, February 18, 2016 (UTC)

TF06 GalleriesEdit

Hi UltiK. Is legit this gallery having a link to it on this page? Also, the other Tag Force galleries are either un-linked or have some weird redirect pages that link to user talk. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:35, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

And I've re-uploaded several booster pics. Before you delete them (and sorry for making you delete a lot of stuff with such frequency), could you please double check if I didn't forget to change in some places? I'm having some weird problems with the Wikia, I don't know if the changes were through, but I guess so. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:17, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

Duelist League 15Edit

Hey, man. Regarding Duelist League 15, I found this/this. Don't know if that's proof enough, though. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:37, February 20, 2016 (UTC)

UltiK, I was actually waiting for an answer. Do those links count as "official" proofs? I guess so, since you stopped reverting/deleting the stuff related with DL15-PT, but since you didn't revert your reverts/deletions, you got me confused there.
And I was also waiting for a reply on the "TF06 Galleries" section.
And I was also waiting for a reply here.
If you don't want me to recur more to you (because you are the one admin I recur the most, since you're here more when I am, and I'm always bugging you), you just need to say, man, no worries. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:48, February 20, 2016 (UTC)
Aaah, ok, ok. Yeah, I couldn't find pics of the cards (at least yet).
Alright, I'll leave those for another time. I confess I have no particular interest on them.
Ah, it's good to know that, kind of a relief. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:02, February 20, 2016 (UTC)

ImageEdit

Is there any reason why you randomly removed the image "Dark_Lucius_LV4_Fiend"? I used it for the Fiend-Type page and you deleted it. Yes it is similar to another image but there are differences, and there are many images on this wikia that are near identical so I don't see how that image was a problem or something new. Ultimate Dueling Guide ImagesEdit

Finished: http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/on7v78k7pa2hlae9jqpc4u061w4t6gxu The only image out of place is the cover and that's due to uploading one that didn't have the extra stuff cropped, plus it's upside down. The other pages should be in order. Let me know if they aren't or if I'm missing any. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 18:14, February 22, 2016 (UTC)

RE:AnimatorEdit

Sorry, can't help you there. :P I have zero knowledge regarding anime writers and animators. The name in the account reads "Hiroki", though, if that helps. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 18:20, February 22, 2016 (UTC)

Lists's m edits & stuffEdit

Ah man! I can't believe I forgot to change those little things! Glad you noticed them.
And I take it you didn't receive any more news about DL15?
And I was waiting for an answer here. I know I'm being insistent, but I like to understand stuff clearly. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:07, February 26, 2016 (UTC)

Your newest categoryEdit

I left a reply to your message on my own talk page. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 18:46, February 27, 2016 (UTC))

Is it appropriate to use the word "method" instead of "procedure" for the category? I don't think "summoning condition" is appropriate, personally. Or should such a category not exist then? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 04:09, February 28, 2016 (UTC))
I'm thinking of using the word "effect" for the category name then, since from what I understand, if a monster lists the means by which you can Special Summon it on its own card, that is an effect, unless the monster is a Nomi monster, in which case, it is a summoning condition. All the monsters that would go in the category can be Special Summoned by ways other than what is listed on the card, but they can only be Special Summoned via the listed means once per turn, which seems to imply, from my POV, that said means are effects. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 04:28, February 28, 2016 (UTC))
I re-made the category under the name Special Summon by its own condition once per turn, the reason for which is listed in the edit summary. If this still doesn't work, then I apologize in advance, feel free to delete it, and let me know, and I can help to revert the changes made to the individual monster card pages. I also apologize for my previous spotty record in not replying to messages on my talk page very often, but I have read said messages and did what they told me to do accordingly. I also wasn't sure how to reply to them. I will, however, do my best to reply to messages on my talk page in future. Hope this all works out for everyone going forward. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 04:53, February 28, 2016 (UTC))
Well, I feel that this grouping of cards deserves a category on its own, considering how often the You can only Special Summon <insert card here> once per turn this way has been used so far. Previously, such cards went under the Only once per turn category, and I don't believe that is appropriate, since Only once per turn refers to how often you can use a given effect, not how often you can summon a specific monster. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 05:59, February 28, 2016 (UTC))

Korean LoresEdit

Hello, hello. I see you added the Korean lore for Shadow of Eyes. Is there a place to get the Korean lores? Because I add lores/names lots of times and the majority of the cards (with a Korean release) lack a Korean one, and I don't know where to get them faithfully. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:15, February 28, 2016 (UTC)

Hum, ok. I don't know not even a bit of Korean, but I'll try to add the lores or, at least, the names, if they are missing.
And when are you going to bring back Aether's page from quarantine? What was the problem? I'm asking so if I see something similar, instead of trying to waste my time solving it (since I won't be able to), I'll point it to an admin. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:32, February 28, 2016 (UTC)
And I see you tagged the posters I re-uploaded with Category:Yu-Gi-Oh! promotional posters. I didn't know I had to tag them. Next time I don't tag something that I should have tagged, could you please warn me? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:44, February 28, 2016 (UTC)
Ah, ok ok. I'll try to not forget about it too, to remind you in case you forget. (If you don't mind, of course.)
And thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:48, February 28, 2016 (UTC)

Pendulum Scale Monster ListsEdit

A few days ago, I left Cheesedude this message on his user talk page, but have yet to receive a response. I was wondering, then, if it's possible for what I suggested in the message to be implemented in the CardTable2 template, and whether or not pages to list monsters by Pendulum Scale are needed on the wiki. If they are unnecessary, please delete them and I apologize for any inconvenience. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 06:12, February 28, 2016 (UTC))

Un-linked RedirectsEdit

This page is an incorrect name for this deck. I took care of everything that used that erroneous name. Is that redirect relevant, or should I tag it for deletion?
And you might want to take a look at this. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:50, February 28, 2016 (UTC)

Rarities/Editions PicsEdit

I've been updating the "Rarities" pics and some of them are displayed at 300px, others at 360px and others at 400px. Shouldn't we go with the same display size for all of them, for a matter of criteria/consistency? This is more of a suggestion than a question.
And don't forget about Aether. Though it still has three entries at Pendulum Scale 4 Monster Cards. I purged everything related to it, even the Card query, tried to re-write the query, but the entries appear all the time. The browse page has no info besides the remaining pages of it. However, it's Japanese name still appears on the query. Don't know what more could solve that. But something has to be causing it. Maybe cache? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:41, February 29, 2016 (UTC)

Card name templateEdit

Thanks for taking care of that user.
And when updating to Dino's template, could you insert the Card name template, please? It makes it more improved and complete. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:50, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, before you start making a voodoo doll of me and throwing it into a blazing cauldron, let me say: don't get me wrong there, please, ok, UltiK? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:53, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

Ah! Alright, alright. I know what that is. I've been deviated of lots of stuff I wanted to do because of that. Especially with changing ".jpg" into ".png", yeah. Well, if you update some of those lists/galleries and didn't use the Card name, just leave me a message and I'll probably add the template, if I have the patience (I usually do. Usually). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:01, March 2, 2016 (UTC)

(Token Proxy)Edit

What is the purpose of the DF16-JP012 proxy if it has SAMPLE written all over the card text? Thanks Fensterhoff (talkcontribs) 17:33, March 2, 2016 (UTC)

Updating Galleries/ListsEdit

Hey UltiK. Be careful when updating the galleries/lists. The language indexes are not in capital letter. In this case, the index should be ja for the Card name as well. You can check them all, I think, here. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:05, March 3, 2016 (UTC)

Still DL15Edit

I found an on-line store listing them as being released in Portuguese (with DL15-PTXXX), but all the pics were displayed in English. I also found another store that hosted a Duelist League tournament with those same card from DL15, and they were listed with their Portuguese names (and the names only, no prefixes). I sent them a message and they said the cards were released in Portuguese. I asked for pics, but they delivered all the cards at the time. So no pics.
So, what should be done? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:09, March 4, 2016 (UTC)

Pic sourceEdit

Hey. May I ask you where do you get German card pics from? I don't know any good site for them. And since I usually deal with pics and galleries, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't mind sharing your source with me. Thanks. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:37, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

Well, the Image policy states they should be 400x580 pixels. I confess I don't use that, because reasons you probably don't have patience to hear. Don't worry I won't go preach about that.
These ones are huge, yeah. They need some good shrink. Thanks a lot, man! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:46, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

Hippo Token pagesEdit

I noticed that you deleted the Hippo Token pages I made for the Orange, Blue and Yellow Hippo Tokens. I created those pages because it is known that Starter Deck 2016 will have three of those tokens, and each with a different artwork. Since the wiki has separate pages for the same token with different artwork, such as the Sheep Tokens and the Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens (despite these being technically the same token), I would think that the Hippo Tokens also should get the same treatment as well, given that sort of precedent and all that. Let me know if this is not the case, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:05, March 6, 2016 (UTC))

Well, all of the pages for Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens with different artworks can be accessed from this page, and you can see that there are as many pages for separate MPB Tokens as there are for Sheep Tokens, so I suppose whoever does any redirecting also has to do it for MPB Tokens and Sheep Tokens as well. I was under the impression, since those pages existed, that there was some discussion ages ago I was not privy to, in which it was decided to keep separate pages for each different artwork of a token. And hence, I thought that was "precedent" for Hippo Tokens to have separate pages per artwork. Personally, I'm of the thought that a Card Artworks page for each token would have been more appropriate to show different artworks anyway, for whatever my opinion is worth. What do the other admins think of this issue? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 04:18, March 7, 2016 (UTC))
Ok, so what exactly is the policy? Just so there are no misunderstandings in future. In my mind, I'm neutral towards the idea of separate pages for the same Token, though I'm leaning a bit on the idea that they may be slightly unnecessary. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 04:26, March 7, 2016 (UTC))
Ah, I see now. But how about tokens that clearly have a card representation but the card isn't technically identified as that token? There is no card explicitly called "Moon Token", but there is a token card with artwork of a Moon Token. Does an image of that card not go on the Moon Token page because the card wasn't named "Moon Token"? It seems that the trend with newer token cards that represent specifically named tokens is that said cards will have the token's name, Type, Level, ATK/DEF, etc. Does that mean more newer token pages will have images of the corresponding card? I'm assuming that older token pages with card representations don't have their card's image on the page because said cards do not specifically distinguish themselves as the token that their artwork depicts. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 05:52, March 7, 2016 (UTC))
I know that recently, the Japanese OCG is releasing Token cards with the actual names of the token the card's artwork is supposed to represent, but it seems that the English TCG is not following suit, as evidenced by the MPB Harrliard Token card being called an MPB Token in the OCG, but a generic Token card in the TCG, which you can see here. Given that the policy entails "generic token" cards going in the "Token" page, does that mean the English TCG image has no place on any MPB Token page then, given that the policy on other pages is to display an image of the most recent TCG print of a card. I can see that this policy can get murky if these differences between the TCG and OCG persist.
Also, assuming we decide to say, delete the separate pages for different artworks of Sheep, MPB, and Hippo tokens, and just opt to highlight the artwork differences on a Card Artworks page for each (which is not odd, given that these cards all represent the same token and are pretty much for all intents and purposes, alternate artworks), how do we go about such a thing with the generic token page? Since all generic token cards are simply named "Token", for all intents and purposes, the TKN3-EN003 card showing Arcana Force XVIII - The Moon and the TKN3-EN006 card showing Destiny HERO - Double Dude are technically different prints of the same card with "alternate artwork", even though they are ostensibly intended to represent different tokens. We can't really make a Card Artworks page for generic Tokens due to the vast differences in artwork for them and how many artworks there are, and just clumping them all together in a single page (and more or less pretending they are all the same) seems like an odd way to go about things. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:51, March 9, 2016 (UTC))
Sorry about the late reply, been a little busy lately. Regarding the MPB Harrliard Token page previously featuring an image of an English generic token card (which happened to have Harrliard's artwork), I suppose since you deleted the page, it's pretty much a non-factor. Though I was a bit unclear as to what you meant by the TCG and OCG cards being in different product being a reason to use the English generic token card image there. Doesn't the English card being a "generic token" preclude its image from being used on the Harrliard Token's page (assuming the page was not deleted by you)?
Regarding the page for generic Tokens, I guess it really is better to just make it into a giant image gallery with individual set numbers, release dates, and product names as descriptors. Do you anticipate embarking on such a project in the near future? Or do you possibly need to run it by the other admins first? I suppose if I have time to spare, I can help with that.
Well, it's cool that the TCG starter deck will be actually making dedicated Hippo Token cards instead of the previous generic ones. Assuming it becomes a trend from now on, I suppose that means we can put the English token card images on their respective pages. I suppose we still need to wait for the SR02 TCG token to be named as a Great Dragon Token in order to see if the TCG really will be following suit with the OCG though. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 01:22, March 17, 2016 (UTC))
I found that justification from the TCG regarding the MPB Token to a bit weird, but then again, they are known to do some pretty funny things anyway. Well, my concern with revamping the generic token page was whether any of the other admins would approve of it or not. But speaking of which, given that you think turning the page into a card gallery is the way to go, doesn't that make the already existing card gallery page redundant? Could it be moved to the main Token page instead then? I mean, we just have to add release dates under the individual images and it'll be good to go, right? Also, where would the images for Official Proxies of the generic token cards go? Would we have a main Token page that is essentially a card gallery of token card images and a card gallery page that includes the aforementioned images PLUS the proxies? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 01:42, March 17, 2016 (UTC))

Korean Jet SynchronEdit

Could you please take a look at these two: SR Jet; SPR Jet? What now? Shouldn't yours be SPR? I'm kinda confused, because it looks only Super, yeah. And I only noticed there was one already after I uploaded mine. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:23, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

Ah, yeah. Thanks, man. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 02:00, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

Card AcronymsEdit

So, I believe the Wikia doesn't have a page with a good list of the cards' acronyms (like RotA for Reinforcement of the Army, PoD for Pot of Duality, etc.), or does it?
If not, would it be worth it? At least to make it as a sub page for me? Or do you think it's useless and redundant? There are few sites out there with a good, but incomplete, list of these, and since this is the Wikia... And I've seen myself some times unable to decipher/remember what an acronym used somewhere meant, and just couldn't find it easily. So I thought about making a page for them.
What's your verdict? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:51, March 8, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, my idea wasn't to create acronyms for every possible card. My idea was to compile info that you see around forums or guides into one page.
I guess I'm starting to do that on a sub page, just to see how to organize it the best way. And then, if relevant and good enough, it may be copied into a Forum page, yeah. What do you think? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:50, March 8, 2016 (UTC)
Would you mind giving it a look, please? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:36, March 9, 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I confess one thing this reminded me of was the "Staples" & co. pages.
As for archetypes, I think I don't know many, to be honest. I'll start the table, and you feel free to insert some, if you want.
But, for instance, the Performapals; how should I deal with those? EM? PP? In English language forums/guides, people use both, even though "EM" comes directly from the Japanese abbreviation. Any ideas how to present that one here?
For the acronyms, I think I'll complete the list anyway (removing the obvious ones and the ones I'm doubtful about (like Buster Fusion)), if that's fine with you and other admins, since I like to have that info available for me, wherever I am. But, if you allow, I'll post some big letters stating they aren't official and are solely for personal use, or something along those lines. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:38, March 9, 2016 (UTC)

BATT StuffEdit

I changed the BATT page into infobox and created the lists and updated the galleries. By doing so, I removed the entries for 013 and above. Instead of tagging all of them for deletion and clogging the Recent Wiki Activity, here they are:

Could you delete them, please?
I've also removed the entries from Mystical Shine Ball and moved the English one into the North America section. Just to let you know, in case I'm not doing it right. I'll remove the entries from the other cards later, when I have the time. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:05, March 10, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, man. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:58, March 11, 2016 (UTC)

Response To Personal ImagesEdit

UK, I understand about the images and will do so. However, for future references, other than the one photo I uploaded, everything else was already part of the wiki. Just pointing that detail out. CelsiusXS2 (talkcontribs) 17:20, March 10, 2016 (UTC)

Lists & Galleries displayEdit

Hey UltiK. Two questions:

  1. If a monster is a Pendulum Monster with a monster effect, it is labeled as Effect Pendulum Monster in (or "on", not sure here) the set lists. If it doesn't have a monster effect, I've been labeling them as Normal Pendulum Monster. But now I saw a recent list using only Pendulum Monster, which got me thinking. So I decided to ask an admin, obviously. So, for Pendulum Monsters with no monster effect, should I use Normal Pendulum Monster or Pendulum Monster? If I may give my opinion, I think the former would be better, since Pendulum Monsters with no effect are still Normal Monsters. Therefore, they are affected by cards like Summoner's Art and Natural Tune, etc., you know. So I think the emphasis is good.
  2. One other thing is: Example 1 (AP08); Example 2 (DEM3) (and with this I just found this existed). You can notice immediately under the galleries on AP08, it only says the language and it links to the gallery; while on DEM3, under the galleries, it has the language and beneath it, it has the edition linking to the galleries. There are several packs using the first and several packs using the second. Which is the preferable one? I'm aware the Set navigation template kinda does it like the AP08, though. I'm not sure if I was clear, sorry.

Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:05, March 14, 2016 (UTC)

Well, the first was kinda obvious, by I preferred to make sure.
I actually forgot to give my opinion on the second point. I think doing it like DEM3 (noting both) would be better, as it gives more info at a tiny cost. And there are products, like DS14 whose regions only have one edition, but those editions are different from one another. So I'll change the Astral Packs and other packs I happen to find. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:06, March 14, 2016 (UTC)

Proxies with red linksEdit

My I ask you a favour? When you see a Proxy with the | edition = parameter correctly filled, or just inserted it yourself and moved it, and said Proxy has a red link due to linking to a non-existing gallery (like this one) would you mind adding it here, please? And this is a legitimate question, not a do it rhetorical question. So if you don't want to do it, just let me now. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:44, March 14, 2016 (UTC)

Hey, thank you very much for the revamp! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:19, March 14, 2016 (UTC)

PGL3 listEdit

Does this help in some way with the rarities? It doesn't have pics, but they are usually correct. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:15, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry about the Cowboy stuff. I was adding some pics of it, and then I found the PGL3 list was being updated, so... Well, should have double checked, sorry. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:23, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

Oh, and there's also this. Don't know if official enough, or trustworthy, though. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:27, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

Ah, ok, ok. Understood. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:34, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

BATT renameEdit

Just to make sure; the rename goes through, right? Because I'm preparing for it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:27, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

(T.G. Deck)Edit

Greetings,

What do you think of the T.G. deck? I'm trying to build a hybrid T.G./Shooting Quasar Dragon deck at the moment, with Accel Synchro being the main goal. Any suggestions?

Blackout S1E7 (talkcontribs) 03:49, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

Hello there. Thank you for the suggestions, and what do you think of the card T.G. Halberd Cannon? Also, I find summoning Shooting Quasar Dragon rather easy; I try to imitate what Antinomy did on the Tv series: Accel Synchro 1 T.G. Blade Blaster (which won't be too hard), Synchro one T.G. Recipro Dragonfly, take apart Blade Blaster, and then Synchro summon 1 Shooting Quasar Dragon / T.G. Halberd Cannon. Anyways, thanks again for the reccomendations, they mean a lot to me :)

Hey, and how does the T.G. deck fit into today's meta? Just curious.

Blackout S1E7 (talkcontribs) 06:24, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! I do, however, have one more question: since T.G. isn't often used in nowadays meta, how's the Photon / Galaxy deck? It has a lot of good cards like the Galaxy Knight and the Galaxy Expedition, most players could XYZ 1 8-star monster per turn using this deck. And it does have a lot of powerful XYZ monsters, so what's your opinion on the Photon / Galaxy deck? :P

Help TopicEdit

Thanks to help us! I left a instruction if you are interested in play the game, check it out, it may be useful to you play any other PS2 games. I'm waiting your opinion about our YGO CMC Article. M7 picEdit

Hey, UltiK! I bet you were starting to miss my bugging.
Let me see if I can make you this question without sounding in a bad way. Because I'm just curious and maybe I can learn something by asking:
Why did you reverted M7's pic? Was it because it was a bit smaller than the Image policy states or something? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:14, March 23, 2016 (UTC)

I read your reply several hours ago, and understood it, so I did not insist (although I'm very curious, I like to understand stuff). But now, curiously, I faced myself with a situation similar to that one, so I need to ask for your help on what I should do.
Twilight Joker's pic doesn't have very good quality. So I decided to find a better looking one. And I did. And when I was about to replace it, I checked the File History, and found there was a pic similar to the one I was ready to upload, but that it was reverted. So, should I upload it, even though it's similar to the one that was reverted? Or should I leave it like that? Or should I revert the revert?
Is there any chance those pics were reverted because they were uploaded by banned users? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:26, March 24, 2016 (UTC)
Alright, UltiK. Got it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:38, March 25, 2016 (UTC)

Korean EditionsEdit

Hey there, UltiK! I left a message here, but it probably went unnoticed. And I see by your edit summary on SD28's page that you kinda know what Korean Editions are released.
So, do Korean Decks only have one (1st) Edition? Where can I check such information to guide myself on the future? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:06, March 28, 2016 (UTC)

Shorten "prev" & "next" parametersEdit

You seem to be here, so I'll ask this to you. I'm going on a rampage on the Korean Premium Packs. Since all of them are "Premium Pack", do you agree with making the prev and the next parameters shorter, by just displaying the Pack's volume? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:49, March 29, 2016 (UTC)

SDSC-SEEdit

UltiK, if I were to ask you if this could go forward, would you reply in a similar manner you did on the BATT's talk page? (I mean, in this case it's not just a matter of capitalization, but you get the point.) Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:20, March 30, 2016 (UTC)

Updated parametersEdit

Hey UltiK. Just one small note I think you may like to know (don't get me wrong, just trying to help): some parameters on the Infobox set were changed. Like es_release_date into sp_release_date, es-lat_release_date into sp-lat_release_date and some others (check here (near the end of that section) for more info). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:08, April 1, 2016 (UTC)

SR01 renameEdit

May I point you to this? And, if you find relevant, could you point other Admins to it, please? Thanks. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:34, April 3, 2016 (UTC)

Effect Tuner monstersEdit

Hello. Should those monsters be tagged with | type3 = Effect in the CardTable2, independently if they were released as "<Type>/Tuner/Effect"? Take, for instance, Reese the Ice Mistress. Should that parameter be added, even though the card itself, in its latest release, says only "[Sea Serpent/Tuner]"?
If you ask me, I'd say yes, because that's what they are. And the database seems to be doing that as well. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:36, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

I know this is a minor detail and it's true all the info is there, independently of this entry. It's just a matter of making the page more accurate. I remember when Tuners came out, and some had effects while others didn't, even though they all said "<Type>/Tuner". That was a bit confusing at the time, especially because they were novelties. So, to new players, it could be confusing, I don't know.
It's just a matter to have it more complete and accurate. And since that's how it's being handled with the newer releases (e.g. Deskbot 001), for a matter of consistency on the criteria, I'm asking this question. I wouldn't spend an edit just to change that. But in cases that could use that and where I could add more info (like names and lores), I could add that. Oh, and I don't know if, on the Special:Browse, it could be useful to have both "Tuner" and "Effect" on the "Types" entry, so some template could fish them together, for some reason (like automatically creating Effect Tuner monster"). But this is something I'm not sure on, it probably isn't needed.
And even though I like to dig and look for stuff around here, I don't know who that specific someone is. It doesn't matter, but the thing is I confess I also had some doubts if I should had the space or not after the bullet (I'm laughing at this right now). But the majority of the pages go one way, so I followed that way (and you also told me to pay attention to the bullets, once).
But, in the middle of all of this, what's the final verdict? And, by the way, any news on the above section matter? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:17, April 7, 2016 (UTC)
Hello? Man, I know I ask a lot of questions, but I don't want to make mistakes. But if you don't want me to ask for stuff, just tell me. Sincerely, no worries, UltiK. And this is not only to you, it's to everyone, of course. I prefer it than being ignored or something. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:28, April 7, 2016 (UTC)
I know, I know you're very strict with leaving messages. But, when you last replied to me, you could have told me you were gathering opinions on the SR01 rename, for instance. That way, I would know you saw the message. This way, I couldn't be sure if you saw it and didn't reply because you didn't want to or something; or if you saw it, but, meanwhile, forgot about it; or if you simply missed it.
And I've left messages on other talk pages and no one replied. Sure, not everyone has to be able to answer my questions. But things like what I left on MST's talk page, are things that I consider important (MST is one of the most famous and used cards), I think it could be discussed publicly.
But I bug so many people, not only just you, I thought you guys could be a bit sick of me always asking stuff, hence why I decided to send you this message. Because, if, at some point, that's the case, just tell me, no worries, I totally understand it.
Sorry for the big text, man. But I'm that kind of person that finds communication important. If there's a problem, it should be discussed, I'd say. Hence why I'm addressing to you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:57, April 7, 2016 (UTC)
It doesn't seem like an "actual" errata, is the opinion, since they haven't updated the Flip monsters on the database yet. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:51, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
Oh, this is the first time I see you replying on your talk page.
Yeah, only the recent ones have "Flip" on the database, it seems. Though I've seen some errata pages here that mark having "Tuner/Effect" instead of only "Tuner" as an errata (I would need to lose some time looking for them to provide an example).
So what do you mean exactly? Should it only be added in cards that were released as "<Type>/Tuner/Effect" and not on old ones (much like the Flip monsters)? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:24, April 11, 2016 (UTC)

No. 62 questionEdit

Hi. Sorry to bother you again, but I have one more question: for No.62 Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon's effect, it says that any battle damage that this card inflicts to your opponent is halved unless it has Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as an XYZ material. However, if it is special summoned by using it's 2nd effect (it will now have 8000 attack), does any damage that this card inflict to my opponent halve? Since all XYZ materials are removed when an XYZ monster comes back on the field...

Blackout S1E7 (talkcontribs) 12:37, April 11, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry to jump in, UltiK, hope you don't mind (if you do, tell me).
As for the question: It depends. If, after Summoning it with its second effect, "No. 62" doesn't have "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, all battle damage will be halved. That means, if you are able to attach a "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to "No. 62" after you Summon it with its second effect (with cards like "Numbers Overlay Boost", for instance), the battle damage it will inflict won't be halved, because it will have "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material.
Simply put; it doesn't matter how "No. 62" got into the field. If it has "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, the damage won't be halved. If it doesn't have a "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, the damage will be halved.
Finally, two notes: XYZ is different from Xyz; And you could post questions like this on Forum:Yu-Gi-Oh! Ruling Queries. Hope I could help.
UltiK, sorry if you do mind the intrusion. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:19, April 11, 2016 (UTC)

Attempting to fix SMW glitchEdit

Hey UltiK! How are you keep tracking of the pages with glitches? Is there a way, or you're just searching for them? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:08, April 19, 2016 (UTC)

Ok. You're just moving them to a test name and then moving them back, right? I'll give you a hand, if I manage to find some glitched ones. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:01, April 19, 2016 (UTC)
Yay, I managed to fix one! This is fun. If you end up doing this again in the future and have a big list, don't forget to invite me! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:17, April 19, 2016 (UTC)

Weird questionEdit

You seem to be a guy who knows a lot of cards from the top of his head (that's my impression at least), so let me ask you this: Do you know of any cards with ; or * on their English names? I need two symbols that are not used in the card English names, nor they will, probably, ever be.
Also, is there any way to search it? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:10, April 20, 2016 (UTC)

*facepalm* Can you believe I didn't even think of that? I have YGOPro, but I haven't played in a large while, it didn't even occurred to me.
Besides, I checked it now and if I search for something like ', it will show me all cards that have it on their name or on their text.
Anyway, thanks.
Also (since you are still under the "Weird question" topic), I'm trying to build this. If you know of any combinations I don't have there, feel free to add them. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:21, April 22, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Final GeasEdit

I got the idea of referencing to that novel by seeing the number 7 being featured twice in the card (7 cards flying with the "final" card being ripped apart and its effect work with Level 7 or lower monsters (Though it might be irrelevant as the card is designed to work with "Dark Magician" in mind). From what I understand, "Geis"("Geasa", "Geas") is similar to vow and oath, while "Gease" or "Geass" are used in fiction novels to name the consequence of violating a casted "Geis". In my opinion, "Gease" fits better not only for the potential reference to the novel, but also the card effect seems to be the "consequence" of "volating a taboo" rather than some kind of "restriction" effects. --Blackwings0605 (talk) 18:54, April 24, 2016 (UTC)

I just read your post. However, some translations are wrong and I was just correcting because I am Brazilian-Portuguese. I was just translating the right way also looking at the official website.Lucasnun18 (talkcontribs) 22:45, April 24, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, obrigado.Lucasnun18 (talkcontribs) 22:56, April 24, 2016 (UTC)

"Ultimate Offering" (anime)Edit

Hey UltimateKuriboh,

Sorry about that mistake I made; I meant to put another lore. I believe that its lore is the same as its OCG counterpart, second erratum. What do you think? Thank you so much, --ToonPegasus (talkcontribs) 02:59, April 25, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, thank you, --ToonPegasus (talkcontribs) 03:07, April 25, 2016 (UTC)

SD6 SP & Molten Zombie secretEdit

Hey man. SD6 doesn't have a Spanish release, it seems. So could you take care of these, please?

And have you noticed the art of "Molten Zombie" we have for DR2 is different from the others? It has a lava drop right above its right shoulder. That drop isn't present on other pics we have of it. I also searched for other pics of it from DR2, but they also don't have that drop. Do you think this would be worth pointing out? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:04, April 27, 2016 (UTC)

I haven't removed any, actually (I think). When I took care of the deck, the Spanish galleries were already absent and since I couldn't find any evidence of its release, I didn't add them. Yeah, the database lists it (I even added the ID to the Deck page (but kept it hidden)). But the database also lists other stuff that wasn't, apparently, released (like BATT's last cards or some tournament packs in Spanish). However, yes, it has the name for Warlock, which was one of the things I used to try to search for it, although unsuccessfully. Keep me up to date, please.
Yes, might be a printing error, but it blends so well. Anyway. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:05, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
Oh, I have removed one, at least. But there are some card pages that do not have their entry already. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:51, April 28, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry. Was editing from my phone. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 02:24, May 1, 2016 (UTC)

Wicked AetherEdit

UltiK, I think I managed to fix Aether. At least here and here it is only appearing once. If you see lists where it appears more than once or oddly, just purge it first. If you know of more troublesome page, give me a poke and I'll give them a look, if you don't mind.
I'm not sure how I did it... I just messed with stuff. If you know of other pages, I'll try to do the same stuff and try to see why they might get fixed. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:30, May 1, 2016 (UTC)

That necropostingEdit

Hey, UltiK. Regarding this and this warnings you made; It was my fault. I should have added last edit=16:03, July 23, 2008‎ to it and I didn't, so I assume the responsibility. Sorry. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:30, May 4, 2016 (UTC)

Question?Edit

I saw you post on my talk, saying...

"Any reason you've stopped doing it for your more recent uploads? --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 02:49, May 9, 2016 (UTC)"

Under the headline of SHVI, given that message was told to me by Becasita a couple of days ago, so I'm wondering if that is what your are talking about or something else, and also if I respond on my talk page will you see it or not?--LeafGreen Ranger (talkcontribs) 03:14, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, thanks, and I'm guessing you are wondering why I didn't do description in them, well I would have it I didn't have a workout with scan all the cards, I will possible add description later when I'm finished scanning the cards (just one new card left, and one update at the time of this), also I wanted to give work to others and not take all the work away, like nothing to work on for other users, (somewhat joking and half serious), anyways I will add them, just seems like a lot of work, when adding this on ever scan
Description
{{OCG-TCG card image
| name = Rock Ogre Grotto #1
| set = MRD
| region = EU
| rarity = C
| edition = 1E

But I'll obliged, and thanks for responding, but did you respond because I posted here, or on my talk page?--LeafGreen Ranger (talkcontribs) 03:48, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

Flip monstersEdit

UltiK, similar to that matter of the Tuner monsters, I've been adding "Flip" under the effect2 type2 parameter of CardTable2 on the Flip monsters' pages. But then, only later, even some days, I realized they have it under the effect parameter.
My question is: Is it a big deal doing this? Because, this time, it would be very convenient to have them with "Flip" assigned to an effect type (e.g., type2, type3, etc.) parameter, since it will assign a semantic property (Monster type) to it. Besides, my template to get the card type relies on it and... Well, you see.
So what do you think? I know, since they are printed as "[<type>/Effect]", you might not like to have "Flip" there. But if they were printed today, they would have "Flip" there. But this is similar to updating the cards' lores of cards that do not have PSCT to PSCT, in a way, I guess...
So, what do you suggest? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:55, May 11, 2016 (UTC)

Oh! I mistyped! Sorry. I was not understanding your message until re-reading this. Corrected it. Could you please re-read the above message?
And I could throw an extra condition to my template, I guess, yeah. But it works wonders for the ones that have "Flip" assigned to a type parameter (like the recent ones).
But after I corrected the message, what do you say? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:57, May 12, 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I understand. Yes, the effect parameter stores that they are "Flip monsters" already. As you can see at List of Flip monsters, the list is generated by |Flip Effects OR Monster type::Flip monster. effect stores it at Effect type; type, type2, type3, type4 would store it at Monster type. You can Browse Man-Eater Bug and check that it's identified as "Flip monster" on both those places (Flip monster: Yes and Monster type: Flip monster and its respective text string). Though Man-Eater Bug shouldn't have "Flip" as a type parameter entry, someone added it (not me). You can Browse Penguin Soldier and see it is only a Flip monster at Flip monster: Yes.
My template looks for the Monster type property to get the card type. That means, it doesn't matter if the monster is Union, Tuner, Gemini, etc., my template will always get the correct card type because the type is assigned at that property. Or so I thought. Old Flip monsters aren't, because they didn't have "Flip" on the card text next to the other types. That being said, I think assigning "Flip" at a type parameter at the CardTable2 would make sense, because all the other types are there. Though I perfectly understand your point, UltiK. This is similar to that Tuner monster conversation we had some time ago, in a way.
I've been the only one using my template, I guess. I asked Dino if he wouldn't mind absorbing it into his boilerplate. I started doing it for that, in the first place. I've been using it to update the Set Card Lists. I've come up with some regex to facilitate my work and it has been working wonders. The only problem I found was that it was changing some "Flip Effect Monster" into "Effect Monster" instead of "Flip monster", due to the fact old Flip monsters don't have "Flip" assigned to a type parameter. Hence why I decided to bring this up. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:20, May 12, 2016 (UTC)
Still under this topic: As you've probably noticed, I've been correcting the card types on the set lists. I'm using my template for that. I haven't changed it yet regarding that "Flip monster" problem, but I came up with a condition (the last board under that section) that is checked a priori. That's basically the change I would make to my template, but putting it to be checked in the middle of it.
But even that isn't enough, due to cards like Shadow Tamer, which have Condition, Flip as the argument for effect. Which means I would have to hard code it a bit more, by separating all the effect types between the commas that are input of effect and compare them with "Flip effect". That would make it more expensive, I guess. Not a big deal, to be honest. But the thing is, it would be more unorganized. As you can see, just to test, I edited it to put it as I had suggested in the beginning of this whole conversation, and, that way, my template (without any change) would be able to get it correctly, as I was expecting, because, like I told you, it seeks what's under the Monster type property, regardless.
I sincerely don't know if you didn't reply because you were exposing this to other people and waiting for an agreement or because you had nothing more to say. For the former, well, if you think this I'm telling you now is important, please expose it too. For the latter, well, it's just one more reason. I confess I'm not really happy with making it display "[<type>/Flip/Effect]" at the card page for cards that do not have that as their card text, but, in the end, that's what they are.
If I'm bothering you too much with this, just tell me to stop. Nonetheless, I think stuff like this is important and should be discussed, as I think my template is useful (regarding that question of yours). Not because I built it, but because doing stuff like this manually would be very tiresome and I like to help. And I think I'm not requesting something that would display wrong/incorrect information or something. So, concluding, I'm wating for an answer, UltiK. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:37, May 15, 2016 (UTC)
Alrighty! Thanks for the reply, I really appreciated it, sincerely, UltiK! No worries, take your time. I know I bother you a lot with stuff.
I'll point this to Dino, though he seemed to have been kinda busy, lately.
Oh, and just so you know, just to put you on par, my template fails with some glitched cards. It outputs Monster Card instead of whatever the monster is. Fortunately, those are very rare cases. "Beta" is one of those cases; I tried to fix it, albeit unsuccessfully. The problem is, if you Browse it, under the Card type property, it has Monster Card, Normal Monster instead of Normal Monster, Monster Card. If you know how to fix that, it would be a great help. Just telling you this since I had told you my template works good, which is not completely true, since it fails for those few cases. I know a solution for that, but the problem is not on the template, it's on the property assignment, I guess.
Anyway, thanks again! Oh, and if you are to update set card lists/galleries again that do not have Card name, please feel free to use this. Makes it way simpler. I meant to share it with some users, but it's not quite as good as I wanted it to be. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:53, May 15, 2016 (UTC)

"Twin Bow Centaur"Edit

Hey UltimateKuriboh,

Do you think that we should also modify the search categories for "Twin Bow Centaur"? Based on your last edit, the Actions "Skips Main Phase 2" and "Ends your turn" no longer apply (I don't want to make any deletions without consulting someone first). Thank you very much for your time, --ToonPegasus (talkcontribs) 00:55, May 13, 2016 (UTC)

European-English releasesEdit

Hum... I think I might have taken some slightly incorrect action. I thought it was the correct thing, but after done it... So here I am asking for an advice.
War of the Giants Reinforcements was only released in English in Europe. So I changed the "EN" indexes to "EU" indexes and moved the gallery and the list. What called my attention to that was the header and the Category of them was "European English". While, technically, they were "positioned" (for the lack of a better word at this hour) as "Worldwide English". So I moved them. I was about to move War of the Giants: Round 2 stuff to "NA" as well, but I thought it would be better to ask, first.
So, how should this be handled? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:06, May 14, 2016 (UTC)

I'm not sure if it was a good move. True, they were only released in those places. Though the images have "EN" in their names, meaning the OCG-TCG card image template will point them to the "EN" gallery. Example 1; example 2.
That could be easily solved by renaming all the pics to either "EU" or "NA" depending on the case. However, they have "EN" in their card text.
So, what approach should be taken? There's also another alternative: Redirecting the "EN" galleries to the "NA"/"EU" galleries, respectively, but it's not the best approach, I think. Leaving the card files with red links is also unacceptable.
What do you suggest? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:00, May 17, 2016 (UTC)
You know? I've been thinking and my opinion is the files should be renamed to "NA" and "EU" respectively. That part of the name is meant to show us the region of the release; not necessarily what's on the card text. If it wasn't like that, then files like this one should be named ReverseTrap-SDY--C-1E.png. Or files like this one should be named Fissure-DIY-P-C-1E.png. And so on.
So, resuming, my opinion is they should be renamed to reflect their region of release. If you are going to discuss this with other admins, could you provide them my arguments, please? Thanks. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:02, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
Heh, I just preferred asking before making some big move. Imagine if I were to move them all and then you would decide to take a different approach? It would be bad for me and given my history record outside, I really don't want to mess things up.
I'll take care of it. Might just take DLG1 and RP01 tomorrow (twelve/thirteen hours), though, since they probably have pics named incorrectly in JPG and I want to get rid of them to the correct name and extension. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:54, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
You guys could have conceded me a bot flag so I could do this kind of stuff like changing the indexes more easily. This is will take waaaaay longer than I expected, so I'll probably only have time to take on DLG1 and RP01 next week, maybe. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:31, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

Why was my adding the Release Escape page taken down? It was a term the anime directly used.Cloudtheavenger (talkcontribs) 23:21, May 20, 2016 (UTC)

Strategy cardsEdit

Hi UltiK. Succinctly, Strategy cards (and checklists) are being placed on both the 1E and UE galleries. But isn't that kind of redundant? Shouldn't they appear only at one, say, the UE gallery? Given they don't have an edition, I think, between 1E and UE, that would be the one to make more sense. But that could bring us to situations where the set doesn't have an UE release, therefore an UE gallery would have to be created just for the Strategy cards (I don't know if there's any situation like this, though). And then I was reminded of your post at the OP talk. However, YGLD also has an UE gallery just for those special cards and it seems to be working fine. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:56, May 22, 2016 (UTC)

Being detached as an Xyz Material won't return them, since Xyz Materials aren't treated as being on the field. Negating the Summon of a Pendulum Monster won't return them either, since a monster(s) whose Summon is negated isn't treated as being on the field (the same as Pendulum Cards being activated in the Pendulum Zones; negating their activations will send them to the Graveyard). --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 20:19, March 21, 2015 (UTC)

But once you detach a xyz material , isnt it no longer a material so when it leaves the field to graveyard , should a pendulum monster go to the extra deck ?--Joekah (talkcontribs) 04:08, May 23, 2016 (UTC)

Apologies for butting in, but you missed the point. Xyz Materials were never on the field in the first place when they were attached to the monster. Therefore they go to the Graveyard. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 04:12, May 23, 2016 (UTC)

RelinkuribohEdit

Yeah, that was my mistake. I erroneously thought the last chance sign up date equaled to the card's release date. I changed it to April 20th on the page, which the English Card Database noted as the release date for the card. AS for the banner, I found it on Shonen Jump's website somewhere, can't remember the exact webpage though, but Shonen Jump periodically puts up these banners when the time left to subscribe so you can get the card is dwindling down. I noticed that the articles for other promotional cards in the same series also use that sort of banner, so I just followed the same formatting. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 23:08, May 23, 2016 (UTC))

EN vs. NA/EUEdit

Hey UltiK! How's it going? Listen, could I ask you to read this, please? I would like to hear your opinion on the set's matter (which starts on Deltaneos' second paragraph), since you were the one I recurred. Thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:23, June 2, 2016 (UTC)

Different names for the same cardEdit

Simply put, how should this be handled? Both in English and non-English lists/galleries.
In English galleries, I've been doing it like, e.g., Oscillo Hero #2. For English lists, I've been doing it like Wattkid (As "Oscillo Hero #2") or similar to above, I don't know for sure if I had done it consistently.
For non-English lists, well, I haven't been bothering with that, as you can see by the first link (the diff) I provided you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:55, June 3, 2016 (UTC)

And when should not be used? Is it only for English names? Or for foreign names as well? I can't find a place that provides an answer to that. There is nothing on it at the Manual of style. The only page I found talking about when it should be used was WP:SUPSCRIPT, which doesn't help much. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:03, June 3, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I did it like that on The Lost Millennium. Just need to find a strict way to do it; I don't like incogruences.
But what about for foreign galleries? I suggested this to Igor. Is it approved? I really want to define a way to do this kind of stuff. Or do you think I should put this up for discussion in another place?
I'll point it to Dino, then. Thanks, UltiK. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:12, June 3, 2016 (UTC)

Beginner's Edition 1 & Beginner's Edition 2Edit

Hey, UltiK. Regarding Beginner's Edition 1 and Beginner's Edition 2, I see you've made several changes already. Could the rename go through? If so, I wouldn't probably be able to move them, given they have history. I would update the instances when I have the time. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:58, June 7, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, no. I miscalculated a bit. It's better to only do this (if the rename could go through) when Snorlax is around, so he can set up a bot run. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:08, June 10, 2016 (UTC)

Era ListsEdit

Actually, I'll take your advice and rename them to stuff like Generation Duel Tournament - Duel Monsters Lists and stuff like that. As for what exactly those lists are for (as in what the "Generation Duel Tournaments" are about, I was kind of thinking of making a single page for that, with all the era formats listed). --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 03:38, June 9, 2016 (UTC)

Cards related to UnionEdit

Hey UltiK. There was an user doing stuff like this. Union is not an archetype/archseries, but I was wondering if it wouldn't make sense to point monsters that relate with it. "Second Goblin" can only be equipped to "Giant Orc", just like "Koitsu" can be equipped to "Aitsu". Wouldn't that make "Aitsu" and "Giant Orc" related to Union monsters, in a way? And would it be worth pointing? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:14, June 12, 2016 (UTC)

LCYW talkEdit

Hum, shouldn't that be on the forum, then? I tagged for deletion because it isn't a discussion that helps improving the article; It seemed to me more like "general talk about its subject". Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:56, June 14, 2016 (UTC)

"Magical Cavalry of Cxulub" OPEdit

Hey UltiK. Could you explain why you did this, please? Dino has been messing with the OCG-TCG card image template, so everything that uses a post-fix is asking for a rename. But it's not supposed to be renamed. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:09, June 20, 2016 (UTC)

Fair enough.
By the way, could you give me a reply on the above topic, please? I was asking sincerely; if I made a mistake, I like to know why, so I can avoid it next time. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:22, June 20, 2016 (UTC)

Where should I upload this?Edit

Hello there. As I was playing Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul, I found out that under certain circumstances the player might get two certain cards I was certainly not expecting to see around. Therefore, I felt I had to upload them somewhere in here. Thing is, I don't know where to upload them, gallery wise. Why is that? As it turns out to be, the card artwork in the first card is that of "Duelist Kingdom", but its name is that of "Set Sail for the (notice the lowercase) Kingdom". Similarly, "Set Sail for The Kingdom" is available as "The Monarchy".

Since I have no way to know whether it was a case of mixed-up names or something that was already on the Japanese game, I wanted to inquire about what should I do before uploading the files. Furthermore, I would like to know whether I should upload just the cards or the whole video game screen, if only for the amusing "This is not able to play." message on them. --AzureKesil (talkcontribs) 14:41, June 26, 2016 (UTC)

Hand size limitEdit

So if I discard "Ruffian Railcar" at the End Phase because my hand contained 7 cards, may I still search "Night Express Knight"? Or in this case, I can't? And does this apply to the TCG? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:14, June 27, 2016 (UTC)

I just answer some ruling questions here and at the YGOrg forums (as "Pendulum", as you know) once in a while, just that. I don't have accounts at other forums or communities. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:32, June 27, 2016 (UTC)
Still under this topic, may I ask you to do some sort of revision to the second paragraph of End Phase, please? It says "This action [discarding for the hand size limit] is the very last thing to happen in any End Phase", which isn't necessarily true. I guess I understand it says it's the last thing it will mandatorily happen. But if you have 7 cards and discard "Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss", then you can still target one face-up monster on the field and banish it, right? Or since we are already in the End Phase, you can't? Or does it just come back immediately after it was banished? But supposing "Graff, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss" was discarded, I can still Special Summon 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from the Deck; so the last thing to happen during the End Phase was not discarding for the hand size limit; it was the Special Summon of 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from the Deck. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:30, June 28, 2016 (UTC)
Hum, this is confusing. So, for some "Burning Abyss" monsters, you know they can activate and resolve, like "Cir", or "Graff", or even "Lightserpent", right? However, in case of "Scarm" (and, subsequently, "Ruffian Railcar"), which have effects that apply during the End Phase, it might be different, since, it didn't result directly from the discard, is that it?
Regarding "Farfa"... It's like "Cir", is it? Because it comes directly from the discard. Is that it?
Indubitably, you will always execute the hand size limit discard after some action was taken (if applicable). Basically, if something happens, a check has to be made to see if the player has 7 or more cards and, if positive, discards until they hold 6; but if any action resulted from it, after completing the action, you'll have to check again if the player has 7 or more cards and discard until they hold 6; et cetera until the player has discarded from the hand size limit (if applicable) and nothing happened from it. Is that it? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:03, June 28, 2016 (UTC)
So, if I got this straight: all the "Burning Abyss" will trigger (including "Farfa"), but "Scarm" may not be included there, right? Because its wording is the same as "Ruffian Railcar" ("During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was sent there this turn:"); so I still don't know if I can get the search. Interesting.
Ah, so, in fact, the discard for the hand size limit "is the very last thing to happen in any End Phase", right, right. I thought that after it, the turn was ended. I still think the End Phase page could be a bit adjusted on that matter, as it may not be totally clear (it wasn't to me, at least). Thanks for the info. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:36, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Sort of talkbackEdit

Sent you a message via YGOrg Forums. Thought it would be better alerting you here, because my idea is you don't go there with much frequency (and I can't know if you have it synchronized with an e-mail or something). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:15, July 4, 2016 (UTC)

SR01 renameEdit

Do you need any help? I could go with the bot renaming everything. Of course, it couldn't do stuff like adding galleries and such, unless I'd do it manually too. But if you want, we can organize ourselves and split work. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:16, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

Nice. What do you think about, I filter the "Card Gallery" namespace, a leave those for later or for you, if you have the time? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:19, July 5, 2016 (UTC)
Have gone through everything except "Card Gallery" and "Card Errata" namespaces. There are some card pages I also didn't change, because they were lacking the Korean SR01 entry and I plan to add it manually (since it's easier to preview). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:41, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Card Tips:Odd-Eyes FusionEdit

If I can say my opinion, I'm pretty sure that the only reliable way to do it would be implementing a "Can be Fusion Summoned" paramenter, that is automatically applied to all Fusion Monsters except those that have the "Cannot be Fusion Summoned" one added. Would it be too difficult? --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 22:48, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

Set postersEdit

Is this considered a poster? In any case, should images like that one be uploaded into the wiki? If so, and if not considered a poster, then with which naming? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:45, July 6, 2016 (UTC)

Ah! Alright, yeah. Understood, understood. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:27, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

RfA stuffEdit

Sorry to bother you, especially since you're renaming stuff. Shouldn't a message be left at MediaWiki:Community-corner, to alert the users, so they can be explicitly aware of what's going on? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:11, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

Right. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:27, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

INOV renameEdit

I see the official English name for INOV is Invasion: Vengeance. Should the set page (and associated pages) be moved now? I was thinking the instances of "Invasion of Venom" could be changed at the card article pages and their respective galleries only when the entries for the TCG would be added. But that could take a large while... So do you think I should turn the bot and just clean everything (including the "Metalfoes" stuff)? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:27, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

This is embarrassing, I mixed the sets; the next TCG set is TDIL, so it'll obviously take a while... It was a silly question from the start... I'll just take care of it and clean everything. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:01, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

I'll reply under this section.
I'm not using it in fully automated mode. That means I check everything before pressing publish. Basically, it just opens the page for me with the changes I want to make already made. I then check them and then press publish (or change anything, if needed). Hence why I'm still using my account. I requested for a bot flag some time ago, but there was no support and Dino told me (search for the word "concerns" under that section) some people had some concerns about it. With a bot flag, the bot runs automatically and it doesn't clog the Recentchanges. In that case, I would create an account for it, yeah.
I may try to ask for one soon; I am more confident now too. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:08, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

Paladin of Felgrand and similar searchersEdit

Hi there, UK. I noticed you removed "Paladin of Felgrand" from the list of searchers for "Dragon Core Accursed". I was just wondering if similar cards, such as "Dragunity Divine Lance" and "Crystal Tree", should be removed from Tips articles as well. Just asking in case more cards like these are released in the future. GMTails (talkcontribs) 22:53, July 10, 2016 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Thanks for the help, I'll avoid adding Paladin-esque searchers. GMTails (talkcontribs) 03:17, July 11, 2016 (UTC)

Lol, I saw you shared a video to me last January, but it's since been removed. How've you been? I've been trying to not pay too much attention to YGO. I never disliked it, but the current meta is way too toxic to actually enjoy it and there are other things more healthy to invest time in, so I kind of "enjoy it from afar." Unfortunately, I only watched about half of GX, 5D's, and Zexal, and none of Arc-V, but that's because I watch few shows in general. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy DecksEdit

I did some research how the duelist decks work in the Duel Academy game. Since you are/were kind of interested in the game and since I don't know where the information could be best put, I will explain some points here:
There seem to be two "half-decks". The first is specific to each duelist and contains mostly monsters and a few spells/traps. The other is "generic" and the same for each duelist and consists of mostly spells and traps (even the exam duels use the generic one). The "personal half-deck" never changes for a duelist. The "generic half-deck" does change but those changes depend on a few things:

  1. It definitely depends on which year in the game you are in, since many of the limited cards are forbidden in the second year, and forbidden cards become limited. In the third year that is mostly reverted. So the limited and forbidden cards are switched in the "generic half-deck" again.
  2. Which/how many cards are in this "generic half-deck" seems to depend on either how many cards you have or how many booster packs you have unlocked. Maybe it does depend on how many duels you have played/won. Or it depends on your duelist rank. Or it depends on the color red/blue/yellow. That would need further investigation.

The "generic half-decks" I have encountered so far:

1st year #1 1st year #2 2nd year 3rd year
x2 Magic Jammer Almost identical to #1, x2 Magic Jammer Almost identical to
x1 Seven Tools of the Bandit but has an additional x2 Seven Tools of the Bandit 1st year #2, but has
x1 Man-Eater Bug "Seven Tools of the Bandit" x1 Jinzo one "Raigeki" added.
x1 Hane-Hane and "Jinzo". x1 Dark Hole
x1 Penguin Soldier x1 Harpie's Feather Duster
x1 Trap Hole x1 Graceful Charity
x1 Graceful Charity x1 Card Destruction
x1 Card Destruction x1 Monster Reborn
x1 Pot of Greed x1 Change of Heart
x1 Mirror Force x1 Mirror Force
x1 Heavy Storm x1 Call of the Haunted
x1 Snatch Steal x1 Torrential Tribute
x1 Premature Burial x1 Magic Cylinder
x1 Call of the Haunted
x1 Torrential Tribute
x1 Magic Cylinder

There might be more decks with other minor differences, for example missing the effect monsters like for year 2. Or year 2 with added effect monsters, but without Jinzo.
What do you think about all this? Should we document this stuff? Ohh... I almost forgot. The missing Fusion Monster for Syrus Truesdale is Elemental Hero Thunder Giant. (Yes, he has no way of summoning it, but it IS in his deck. Maybe because of his friendship with Jaden Yuki. He has Harpie Girl too.) --Sotho Tal Ker (talkcontribs) 02:07, July 28, 2016 (UTC)

I guess you want me to reply on your talk page, which is a bit awkward having the responses in different places (maybe enabling the message wall would make it look more sane to me).
Anyway, regarding the changing decks: I guess I will have to play through the whole 3 years to see if/when this stuff changes, without any cheats (I will have to play for real anyway, as I still need to confirm when some booster packs unlock (i.e. the info for Residents of the Sea seems wrong)). Now I am not so sure anymore that the difference in 1st year #1 and #2 isn't from some broken gameshark snapshots.
Regarding Elemental Hero Thunder Giant: When I duel someone, I can do a memory dump and use a hexeditor. Since I know some of the cards from deck, I can then find the whole deck information. The first card of the deck is stored at 0x00024D7C. After 80 bytes it's the next card. Cards are ordered in the following way: Normal Monsters, Effect Monsters, Fusion Monsters, Spells, Traps; numbered from low to high. I did not find someone with a Ritual Monster yet. The last trap card is then followed by those "generic" cards, which are the same for everyone. That was the reason why I divided the decks into 2 halfs in the first place. I plan to eventually complete the decks for each duelist this way. --Sotho Tal Ker (talkcontribs) 06:18, July 28, 2016 (UTC)

(Thanks)Edit

Hi
I wanted to thank you for your fast and efficient "answer" to my post! ^^'
I'm sorry I didn't sign my post, I saw four ~ at the bottom of the page, and thought it was filed automatically. Than you for your kindness!
P.S: I'm rather bad with these things, so if you would kindly explain to me how to delete my post, so that it doesn't flood the site, that would be the best!
See ya!

Hi, Well, I don't think my post will be useful to anyone, but if you think it will, then great! Like I told you, I'm new and rather bad with this forum stuff, so I thought, if all the guys like me create a post where they ask a question, there must be thousands of posts, and the site becomes flooded and messy. But you're the pro here :) Thanks again, and see ya 'round! --ForPoseidon (talkcontribs) 22:35, August 11, 2016 (UTC)

Cipher EtrangerEdit

Oh yes, I created the page under that name because that was what the corresponding anime card page was named. As far as I was aware, given that none of the other users more versed in Japanese than I was changed the anime card's page name to "Cipher Etranger" beforehand, I thought it was the correct name for all intents and purposes. Feel free to change it if need be. Given what has happened, I dunno if I should change it myself lest another dispute happens. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 18:18, August 18, 2016 (UTC))

Spacing problem clarificationEdit

RE: Worlds 2016 banlistEdit

I'll make a page for it, once I get the chance. But if I do, would I have to entitle the page World Championship 2016 List, or something else? --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 19:15, August 20, 2016 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for letting me know. I'm still gonna create that list, along with the other World Championships lists, once I get the chance. If it's not too much to ask, do you think you'd be able to find the Lists for the 2014 championships, so I can use that for reference, as well? Thanks. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 19:42, August 20, 2016 (UTC)
I've made the "World Banlist" for 2015; but as you've probably noticed, I've changed the title for both it and the other banlists currently in the template. Which do you personally think sounds better: World Championship 2015 Lists, or 2015 World Championship Lists? And I'll try to make the one for 2016, if I can (probably Monday, by the looks of things). --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 04:25, August 21, 2016 (UTC)
No, you're probably right; I should change it to World Championship 2015 (and the like), for consistency's sake. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 04:40, August 21, 2016 (UTC)
I kinda forgot to include them, since I was in a bit of a hurry to make it to my parents' house to pet-sit. Don't worry, though; I'm putting them in right now. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 19:30, August 24, 2016 (UTC)

Étrange vs. StrangerEdit

We seem to have a similar issue on Raidraptor - Étrange Falcon as we did on Cipher Stranger, due to both cards using エトランゼ in their names. How should we resolve this issue? Given that as you say, the YGOrganization site uses Étrange, while the wiki seems to have chosen Stranger and no one made any attempt to change the article. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 09:44, August 21, 2016 (UTC))

Becasita still thinks I am making useless editsEdit

I'm not doing any of that redundant extra spacing to card gallery pages anymore since you and UltimateKuriboh told me do not do that to OCG galleries so many times. I'm removing extra spacings that are redundant (as in no extra spacings in a gallery unless it's to align the vertical lines in one gallery for consistency reasons), but Becasita still considers these as useless edits that must stop. I'm afraid I can't participate in this wiki if he keeps harassing me with every edit I do. Can you please talk with him?Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 01:30, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

I'm not doing any of extra spacing (in short time span) for the edit count at all. I'm not even interested in edit count at all. I am now trying to find something that's editable on a page and if there's nothing to do, I hit the watch button. Cheesedude suggested using the watch button and I have been using that for a while for pages I find nothing to edit. Since extra spacing and removal spacing for any reason is now considered redundant and useless by you and Becasita, it means, by that logic, there should also be no extra spacings or spacing removals of that at all (which includes the spacings that the vertical lines in one gallery of card galleries use for alignment). If there should be no extra spacing at all in card gallery pages, then the vertical lines in the source code should only be one space long for both the lines' left and right.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 02:04, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

I'm not even planning doing spacings in galleries for today after so many messages from you and Becasita. I probably will not do it anymore except a few occasions (probably once once a day or a week) to avoid being blocked. It actually started with Becasita questioning me about inconsistent spacing edits on pages and then it went to overall unnecessary spacings in OCG galleries. They are not going to be done anymore due to Cheesedude replying to me a lot about this and suggesting I use the Watch Button, which he helped me find. You crossing out your first line on your message to me and replacing it with the last statement I said in my last message was not something I was going to do at all. In galleries with just one image inside pages like -ow galleries or video game galleries, I only want them to only have one space after the file name as I just to remove all extra spacings since they were redundant.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 02:43, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

20th Anniversary PackEdit

ResponseEdit

How can I when I have no clue how to code? Just because I've used and edited wikis for a while doesn't mean I understand how to do things "the hard way". Regardless of how it's done, at least it got done. Simple as that. No need to get snippy at me just because I don't know how to code like some Leet computer whiz. --Rocket.knight.777 (talkcontribs) 20:38, September 11, 2016 (UTC)

You're assuming I'm going to click "Edit Source". I've yet to ever do that. I'm a busy guy, and only just had the time to even copy/paste that added bit (which whoever first added that Ohranger trivia could just as easily have added if he did his full research in the first place) into the other two pages after typing it out the first time. Excuse me for not trying to make things so much more complicated. Maybe I should just keep my fingers and trivia off this wiki entirely, if my efforts are just going to be nitpicked every time I don't code things correctly, is just overall stupid if you ask me. But that's just fine. Block me for arguing with an admin for all I care, this staff just constantly makes this harder for the average user to use ever since you chose to make individual cards for every little anime appearance, whether or not the full effect is used or altered. --Rocket.knight.777 (talkcontribs) 00:53, September 12, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm not trying to open that kettle of fish again. Regardless of any, I've not going to take the time hunt down or type out that coding every single time I add something from another wiki. IF I don't have to waste time hunting and pecking a convoluted string of characters, I'm not going to. And so long as there is a button to attach a link to a certain word, I'm going to use. You're more than welcome to adjust after I post if you want, but in the end, I'll stick to the easy way. Simple as that. End of discussion. So save your nitpicks from something that actually matters. --Rocket.knight.777 (talkcontribs) 01:47, September 12, 2016 (UTC)

You don't know my life, bub. Regardless of anything, you don't have the right to nitpick how I do things. Bottom line, I'll just post links, because I don't have the time to deal with ridiculous codes. You don't like it, Block me. --Rocket.knight.777 (talkcontribs) 19:50, September 12, 2016 (UTC)

I'm in agreement with UK here. The code that he presented isn't that hard to understand. And since you had the nerve to talk back to an admin, I guess I'll save UK the trouble and block you myself. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 21:06, September 12, 2016 (UTC)
No, there's no problem with him disagreeing with me (since I doubt they'd edit frequently enough to link to other Wikis, for that to be an issue). But goading an admin to block them? Alright, I'll take them up on that request. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:17, September 12, 2016 (UTC)

Proper sample deck list formattingEdit

I noticed you removed the table containing a sample deck list on the basis of improper formatting. What is the proper format for this wikia?

Displaying TitleEdit

I'm trying to see if I can create a template that would display a title on a page. Like for instance, I want September 2006 Lists (OCG) styleized as Setpember 2006 Lists (OCG), with "(OCG)" italicized. I think I stumbled on to something, but it's not on this Wiki at this moment. If I were to create a "DISPLAYTITLE" template (or something like that) on this Wiki, would you let me? --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 15:24, September 27, 2016 (UTC)

DISPLAYTITLE is a magic word, not a template, and as such already works here. In addition, we already have templates to manage italicizing page names: Italic dab will do exactly what you want (minus italicizing the parentheses themselves, since they shouldn't be italicized - the page name will display instead as September 2006 Lists (OCG)), and Italic title allows freeform italicizing; DISPLAYNAME should not be used directly on articles (it should only be used through templates, so we can track where and how it's being used). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:04, September 27, 2016 (UTC)

Card RulingEdit

Saw you on the forum as an active contributor and was hoping to get some help. There is a minor dispute with my friends with Paralyzing Chain's card effect. If my opponent sends my Penguin Knight to the Graveyard with Needle Worm and they have Paralyzing Chain face up do I still take the damage or does Penguin Knight's effect prevent the damage from being inflicted? We really aren't sure if the cards are counted first and damage is inflicted or since Penguin Knight triggers the cards are reshuffled into the deck and no damage takes place because the cards are no longer in the Graveyard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Irohanihoheto (talkcontribs) 06:47, October 2, 2016 (UTC)

The effect of "Penguin Knight" is a Trigger effect. The effect of "Paralyzing Chain" is a Trigger-like effect. They both activate when the card is sent from the Deck to the Graveyard and they are both mandatory. That means they activate at the same time; they go on chain (see SEGOC for more info). In the end, the damage is inflicted and the cards are shuffled back to the Deck. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:04, October 2, 2016 (UTC)

Hot Red Dragon Archfiend BaneEdit

I made that edit, months ago mind you, because a) "Burial" is the official english manga name, regardless of your apparent dislike of the translation, and is in addition a valid reading of beriaru, b) "Belial" was a fan-translation of the original material anyway, which I find to be just as untrustworthy, and c) despite your claims that I was "unaware" of the "significance" of the name "Belial" (i.e., your claims that I didn't bother to check the Trivia page at the very least), the name "Burial" seemed a more sensible name than "Belial" considering that the previous "Hot Red Dragon Archfiend" incarnation was named "Abyss".

But whatever the case, it's all the same to me. "Bane" is its name now, so I'm not interested in challenging anyone on this. Don't contact me on this matter again. TheycallmeBrick (talkcontribs) 19:59, October 4, 2016 (UTC)

Utopia Kaiser -> Numeron DragonEdit

Lightning cannot be used as Xyz material Numeron Dragon needs 2 monsters of same Rank AND Same name (because someone thought that was a good idea apparently, hate that condition) You'd have to summon a Number, its Ranked up form, and then rank up the other one next turn to get Numeron on the field. so I added that in, but it could be phrased better.

Alright, that's fair enough, I see no issues with what you're proposing. By the way, where can I go to ask for rollback rights? RE: PSCTEdit

There's a card I forgot even having (from the 2016 Mega-Tins, so the wording is obviously up-to-date), "Bubble Barrier". Wouldn't the way it is worded ("Each "Performapal" and "Performage" monster you control cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect once per turn.") mean that the predicted wording for "Dragonic Diagram" is incorrect (and should be "Each Tribute Summoned "True King" or "True Draco" monster you control cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn.")?

Or is there just something I'm missing here? Because "Bubble Barrier" essentially has the same effect as "Dragonic Diagram", while "Dragonic Diagram" doesn't have its translated effect worded that way. I just thought I should ask about the reason for this difference before I corrected it.--Cyber Dragon (Talk) (Contributions) 14:08, November 24, 2016 (UTC)

About card artworksEdit

Hello, I have been meaning to ask something, and I noticed that you just left IsaacSD a message telling them that cropped scans of cards are considered fan-made (which I don't agree, but that's not the point), so I decided it now: can cropped versions of the official full arts be used? E.g. this one, which was cropped from this one. --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 18:15, December 4, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, but the average view would crop it very roughly without checking if the edges match up. And even then, my intention was using those on Card Artworks subpages, where more than half of a normal card image is worthless. --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 19:36, December 4, 2016 (UTC)

catapult turtleEdit

IDK, it was really awkwardly worded when I written it. But the gorgeous thing about Atem's first duel with Rafael is that Atem constantly fed his monsters to Catapult Turtle. This is made more explicit later on, when Yugi showcases the same strategy against Atem.

This is in direct violation of Atem's dueling strategy over the Battle City arc, where he never uses Catapult Turtle. This is most explicit in Atem vs. Arkana, where Atem calls Arkana out on physically damaging his cards and his disrespect of his relationship of his monsters via Ectoplasmer. Atem vs. Rafael 1 is a pivotal moment in the series because it shows how Orichalcos reveals Atem's vices. The metaphor continues. While Atem is tributing his monsters to Catapult Turtle, his monsters exhibit a hurt and betrayed expression, and later look down upon him when Rafael banishes them from the Graveyard. This is an exact parallel of the attitude Arkana's Dark Magician gives him. Later on, Atem shows that he is still not at grip to his emotions, as he is constantly discarding monsters to overkill Weevil, and is almost ready to discard Dark Magician Girl.

This is Atem's first real loss and it sets him up for how to learn humility so how can later lose to Yugi in the final episode. This duel is important character-building for Atem and Catapult Turtle is a fulcrum for that, so it should be mentioned SOMEWHERE in this wikia, if not the Turtle trivia page, for its literary significance. Philiosophical-Psychological Informist Togekiss (talkcontribs) 09:53, December 15, 2016 (UTC)

Arkana's situation isn't quite the same as Atem's. Arkana was never under anyone's control when he used Ectoplasmer. Atem was backed into a corner with no way out. He had to play it and even when he did, that was the card that was controlling him. Catapult Turtle was also a last-ditch effort because it wasn't used until the later half of the duel. I don't see how Catapult Turtle is any means for character development when it's not a monster Atem uses very often. In fact, he doesn't use it after Duelist Kingdom except in that one duel. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 18:49, December 26, 2016 (UTC)

Property entryEdit

Well, the way I see it, any card with "When this card is activated" would go in that category, so meaning to say, Continuous Spells and Traps and Pendulum Monsters with effects that can only be activated when the card itself is activated. Absent of that, it seems like effects on such cards are Ignition-like or Quick-like. I guess I didn't quite make that distinction clear. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:00, December 30, 2016 (UTC))

Well, I note that on Normal Spells and Traps, your statement is true. By their nature, they have effects that can be activated when the card itself is activated. That's a natural thing for those types of cards to have (and I'd be surprised to see a Normal Spell or Trap lack that characteristic). However, I don't think the same can be said for Spell and Trap Cards that linger on the field, such as Continuous Spells and Traps, Field Spells, and Pendulum Monsters while they are in Pendulum Zones. As far as I recall, not all such lingering cards possess the characteristic of an effect that can only be activated when the card is activated, and only at that point in time. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:08, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
Well, my definition is that the category only encompasses cards that by definition, are supposed to linger on the field, such as Continuous Spells and Traps and Field Spells. A cursory look through the card database will show that there is a large number of cards with these card typings that do not have this characteristic, and as such, I think such a category is warranted, just like how we have categories for cards with effects that activate in certain locations like the Graveyard. I think the question of why we want to functionally sort cards into categories can be asked of all categories since many of them have cards that share no commonality except for the one trait that the category is sorting them into. As for the wording, I think it's a PSCT thing. Perhaps a future printing of Macro Cosmos might be errata'd to contain the wording in the category that is the issue now. Otherwise, if there's a good number of cards with effects that trigger when the card resolves and the wording makes it explicit, then we could have another category for them or extend this category to also include them (with a possible renaming of the category as well). I respect your opinion as an admin and fellow user on this wiki, but I think we might need another opinion on the matter. If at that point, the category is deemed unnecessary, then I'm fine with its deletion. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:34, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
Well, regarding tracking purposes, I made categories such as Overwrites card effects and Places cards underneath itself. As far as I'm aware, there's no meaningful reason to track cards with those characteristics as of the time of writing, and those cards in those categories have very little in common except for the trait under which the categories that I just mentioned are grouping them. Should these categories therefore still be allowed on the wiki? (00:45, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
You have a point regarding Overwrites card effects, but I think that Places cards underneath itself is one of the quirkier categories I made, yet I suppose that there are a sizeable number of cards with that characteristic that a category might be warranted anyway. I think people should mind more if the group is small, the larger it gets, the more reason there is for a category, in my opinion. Given that other admins such as SnorlaxMonster and Cheesedude have put card pages in categories I made, including those that contain only anime and manga cards, I sort of viewed it as implicit approval on their parts for the existence of those categories, or the very least, they think those categories serve some purpose on the wiki. It does bring up the question of whether or not categories that solely contain anime and manga cards should exist though if you want to use the argument of tracking purposes, since they have no such application for real life gameplay. It is possible though, that one day such categories will include cards released in the OCG/TCG, which in my mind, further solidifies their reason to exist. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 03:36, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
So, are we definitively deciding to delete the category? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 04:08, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
I still think that the category has a place on the wiki, and its parameters aren't as general as you say they are, but if there really is no purpose to it, then I suppose that's that. I might work on conceptualizing more tighter parameters if I make a category on that topic sometime down the road. As for the Places cards underneath itself, I think that one should stay, considering we have a few other categories solely for anime and manga only cards for now. SPYRAL GEAR SolidEdit

If you don't want me to bring this up again, I understand. But after looking back at the page history for the "SPYRAL" archetype, I still think there are some allusions to the Metal Gear franchise. I have the following table of what I mean, which are both based upon what used to be on that page, and from what I've researched:

SPYRAL Card James Bond Metal Gear
Super Agent James Bond Solid Snake
Quik-Fix Q Otacon
Drone Espionage device Cypher
Big Red Various cars from the James Bond films Raiden's car
Charming Resort Staff Miss Moneypenny Meryl Silverburgh
Master Plan M The Boss
Resort MI6 FOXHOUND
MISSION - Assault CQC

CategoriesEdit

Admittedly, I excluded Spell/Trap Cards from the categories I made recently, because it didn't occur to me, but that's a result of having gone 52 hours without sleep at the time. Anyway, the reason I worded the category that way is because according to PSCT, there's a difference between "when" something happens and "if" something happens (thus "Activates when Normal Summoned" wouldn't work in my eyes, given that some cards activate "if" they are Normal Summoned, rather than "when", and so that approach would require an "Activates if Normal Summoned" category, and I doubt the difference is significant enough to warrant separate categories), so "Activates upon Normal Summon" was the best I could come up with that encompassed both "when" and "if". To say nothing of the fact that some card texts predate PSCT, so it isn't clear if the effects are "when" or "if" effects, only that they are Trigger Effects. I will not make a list simply because I do not have one and what categories I want to make simply come to me in a snap. Frankly, I daresay I'm not all that bad at judging how categories should be defined and what should go in them. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 21:42, January 10, 2017 (UTC))

Edit warEdit

Sorry to bother you UK, but I've butted heads with DragonEmeperor again (as you've noticed).

To clarify, I added the latest sections for Jack's bio (or cleaned them up after Denversapple), but after that he went and made extensive changes that are in my opinion, terribly written, and overly complicated. I undid them, but he's re-adding the material without any explanation (not to mention he;'s difficult to talk to, I speak from experience) - ah, I see it's been protected just as I write this.

My question...am I in the wrong here? Am I just getting overly biased? I had a similar situation with him on Zarc's page, but Cheese told me to leave that one be since we are apparently merging that page with that of his dragon form. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 07:23, January 16, 2017 (UTC)

Rogee. I asked because I saw you were online and I was looking for a quick fix. Page is protected for now, so I'll ask Cheese. Cheers. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 07:30, January 16, 2017 (UTC)
I was already working on Jack's bio before Deversapplea added the info. My way of editing bios is that I go into detail about the characters. I not trying to start another war again. DragonEmeperor (talkcontribs) 07:34, January 16, 2017 (UTC)

Going by the German (and other language) names of Numerronius, and him being no part of the Numeron archetype in Japanese as well as English, are both reasons to stack the fact Numerronius is spelled with two "r"s Darthikyu (talkcontribs) 22:53, January 19, 2017 (UTC)

Yup. Bit disappointed with how underwhelming it is though, though idk what I was expecting. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 05:38, January 30, 2017 (UTC)

Well it jumped from 2014 to 2016, so that's a pretty big jump to a recent format. And with the banlist edit that changes, some of my forbidden cards that were given me for free to troll me are usable (Glow-Up, Crush Card, Trishula, RoD).

On the other hand, I feel it's super laggy and it crashes all the time. I just hope it's a temporary thing. It's hard for me to turn it on sometimes.

But now that DN is gone, this is pretty much the best thing when it comes to online play, other than the purposefully better version on Steam/PS. Find me, beforedawn. Philiosophical-Psychological Informist Togekiss (talkcontribs) 20:14, January 30, 2017 (UTC)

Requires multiple Synchro Monsters as Synchro MaterialEdit

Well, I moved the page because I didn't see your comments, only Beca's and XBrain's and frankly, I agreed with them, which looks like consensus. I also have to leave for work soon anyway, so I figured I'd do the page move quickly and add in the other Synchro Monsters that fitted the category now, as it looked to me like no one is in favor of maintaining the category page in its current state. Seeing your comments as well, that appeared to be the case. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 20:28, February 4, 2017 (UTC))

Well, I don't think it's lazy or sneaky in any case, I just saw that no one wanted the category the way it currently was, so I moved it. If there was at least one person who wanted the page to still be the way it previously was (not counting myself, and even I changed my own view on seeing Beca's and XBrain's comments), I wouldn't have moved it. I'll take the note about pressed for time in mind next time. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 20:40, February 4, 2017 (UTC))
To more clarify what I said earlier, I saw Beca's comments, and went off for a bit to do something else. While doing that other activity, I concluded that he and XBrain were correct, and I decided to move the category, and did so, as you noted, nine minutes after you commented (and 41 minutes after Beca's comment). Hence I saw Beca's comment at some point between 19:28 and 19:50 (can't remember exactly when) and did not check the talk page again until after the move, partly due to being pressed for time, as mentioned earlier. I will admit that it was my fault because I didn't check the talk page for the category when I moved it, and thus failed to see your comment, and any potential comments made after Beca's comment, until after I made the move and you left that note on my talk page. That was my fault, and I'll admit to wrongdoing there. Therefore, I respectfully refute your point that I did not read Beca's comment. However, I will point out that I made some of my better edits when pressed for time, such as creating card pages very shortly after an official source reveals those cards, and I find that generally speaking, I work better under pressure. All I can say is that I'll keep a better eye on talk pages from now on. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 03:09, February 5, 2017 (UTC))

Reply: Anime card images (again?)Edit

When i use "Multiple Upload" i don't put the card names (since they are of different cards), and then sometimes do tend to forget to put names in them after upload, as i go on to update other stuffs (also its a bit tiresome to individually open each file and add names).

So, Sorry about that, if its causing inconvenience, would try to correct myself on that part.--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 16:01, February 5, 2017 (UTC)

Uploaded imagesEdit

Uploading images for the first time.

Thanks for the heads up on what to write when I upload card images in the future. Also, How do I select the Licensing part? Do I select the one that says OCG/TCG under the Fair use part? I didn't know which one to select, and that is why I wrote on all of them that they were from my own cards, so that people knew I wasn't stealing already digitalized images from someone else.

BTW, thanks fot taking the time to edit my submissions.

(Diabolos)Edit

The point I was trying to make with "Diabolos" was that it can be used in such a deck because you will be able to deny your opponent cards to draw during their Draw Phase. Between that and you constantly discarding with said Trap card active, your opponent will at least have a shoddy hand. RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 18:06, February 13, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Card Tips:Zoodiac ThoroubladeEdit

in regards to Card Tips:Zoodiac Thoroughblade it was a play that may be made if the resources are available upon beginning the turn, it is also a play that may be made without the normal summon as stated in brackets directly after the statement to normal summon, & the tip was opened with with the cards and effects available indicating that without the cards & effects used within the combo the combo is not available, the reason I did not begin with with Zoodiac Thoroublade in hand is because the play can be begun with either Fire Formation: Tenki or Thoroughblade in hand & can be made in a reduced form without making the discard play which can result in one less Thoroughblade & instead an additional Whiptail in play, it can also be begun with only Tenki in hand as a lesser play & then be extended into the full play by the draw of a Zoodiac Thoroughblade by the effect of Zoodiac Thoroughblade discarding the Zoodiac Thoroublade searched to the hand by Tenki, I decided not to add in every potential fork & variation and include only the single highest damage play which a person could recognize and opt to make upon having Thouroughblade & Tenki or Tenki & Zoodiac Barrage or 2 Thoroughblade in hand with variants beginning with M-X-Saber invoker or Zodiac Barrage on the field & not state every opening hand that allows for the combo as it was already going to be an extended paragraph only outlining the one variation & it seemed best to me not to make it a great deal longer as it was intended as a tip & not an extended play guide, the play can become relevant on later turns after the use of Daigusto Emerald to recycle resources or if a person plays a second Boarbow in the extra deck to enable it as an endgame play or if a player finds themselves with Ratpier banished or it's effects blocked off on opening a turn so I believe it has value & as stated on the main Zoodiac page one of the weaknesses of the pure deck which this can play around is losing use of Ratpier so it does seem this can on occasion be a useful thing to know, also there isn't a single tip on the Thoroughblade Card Tips page other than which cards can search it so it seemed that it would help the page to add one. thank you for the time spent on managing this site & the consideration for reading this --Evol Kard (talkcontribs) 18:42, February 13, 2017 (UTC)Evol Kard

Re: Thoroughblade card tipsEdit

seen your message, I'll add the possible openers for the main combo of which I can think of 5 though there may be more on further thought when & if I rewrite it, or if it would be possible to put back or make available the paragraph already written that would make the update far easier to accomplish, though unlike Shiranui Sage it's not one basic combo with following extensions but a long single combo summoning XYZ Zoodiacs & using each of their effects in a chain to reach the end point as a part of it, I still think puttiing in more information following the openers other than the base chain would make it far too long so I'd prefer to leave the rest largely as is if that would be o.k. --Evol Kard (talkcontribs) 19:28, February 13, 2017 (UTC)

Uhh, actually, it says on Infernal Dragon's "Rulings" page that it can also be summoned from the Graveyard with its effect when it is destroyed by battle, indicating that it does not need to be destroyed by its own effect. RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 16:17, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

And as for "Diabolos", I was not just saying it's good because it lets you choose whether your opponent draws during their Draw Phase or not. I'm saying it can be used in a deck focused on "Forced Requisition" so that you can leave your opponent handless.

I KnowEdit

I know about Diabolos's effect. OK, it's like this.

Diabolos lets you look at the card your opponent is about to draw, and put it back on top so they can draw it, or put it at the bottom. The latter is kind of like making them skip their Draw Phase. If this card were put in a deck with "Forced Requisition" and cards with discarding effects (The "Armed Dragons", "Raigeki Break", "Lightning Vortex", etc.), you would constantly be draining your opponent's hand. THAT'S what I mean.

I'm not saying "Diabolos" will leave your opponent handless. I'm saying it CAN if used properly.RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 16:32, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

Cyber JarEdit

UK, why didn't you just take out the part about destroying cards? Because the rest of the stuff was pretty good, although the tip regarding Maxx "C" was kinda iffy, since it depends on how many Monsters the opponent Special Summons.RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 14:29, March 28, 2017 (UTC)

Duly noted. Then there is Performapal Drago Remora. One of the things about its Monster effect is that it lets you keep the Dragon-Type Monsters summoned by Rescue Rabbit(As long as you still have "Remora", of course). Advice on Last TurnEdit

And lastly, I want to talk to you about the card "Last Turn". Based on what I can garner, it's pretty good with some Dragon-Type Monsters(Yes, that type is my specialty). I want to make a Dragon-Type Deck focusing on "Last Turn", and apart from "Pandemic Dragon" and "Red-Eyes Burn" , I can't think of Dragon-Type (Support) cards that can help me with the cost to activate "Last Turn". Just in case you didn't realize, that info (yes, you were correct to delete it) was me drawing conclusions from images that highlight the appropriate scales of the Pendulum Monsters (for example, the current explanation image of how to Pendulum Summon). Of course, me being an IDIOT, I never realized that it was never stated in text.
So in summation, I accidentally had a rather large effect on the Yu-Gi-Oh! community. Huh. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 08:37, April 7, 2017 (UTC)

SHS Thief RulingsEdit

You've misunderstood that ruling. Eternal Soul's Mandatory Trigger-like Effect is activated on a new Chain after it has left the field. After Thief's effect has resolved, Eternal Soul is Set on the opponent's field. The activation requirement is fulfilled because it did leave the field, but instead:

  • Unless stated otherwise, face-down cards can never activate their effects.
  • Even if it can be activated, the card is controlled by the opponent and the effect is read from the opponent's perspective. The opponent controls the effect, not the owner.

Cards that have been destroyed are always sent to the Graveyard, unless the effect of some other card like Macro Cosmos or Grave Protector is applied. For example, Skull Invitation will still deal damage after the card has been destroyed (sent to the Graveyard) then Set to the opponent's field.  HHT   06:23, April 8, 2017 (UTC)

Crime-Punishment GambleEdit

The point of my "Gamble" tip was not defensive. It was supposed to be a way to use offensive tactics when pinned down by this card's turn-skipping effect. Embodiments of Crime and Punishment let you force your opponent to attack them and endure a gratuitous amount of damage. Apart from using "Last Turn" while you control a powerful or dangerous Monster like "Mirror Force Dragon", I can't really think of another way to get on the offensive while you are punished by "Gamble's" negative effect. Do you have any other ideas? RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 04:25, April 9, 2017 (UTC)
