• This card is based on the fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty".
  • In the Giambattista Basile's version of Sleeping Beauty, "Talia" was the name of the princess.
  • This card's effect of having itself be flipped face-down seems to reflect how the princess was put into a deep sleep, while the Special Summoning effect seems to reflect how a prince would arrive and awaken her (when she is flipped face-up).
