Combo of Despair!! is the 173rd chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. In its first English printing, it was numbered as the 114th chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist. In the 3-in-1 edition, its number was changed to match the original Japanese printing.

Turn 11: The Doll
The Doll has just Summoned "Slifer the Sky Dragon", whose ATK and DEF is equal to 1000 times the number of cards in the Doll's hand ("Slifer": 3000 ATK, 3000 DEF). The effect of "Buster Blader" increases its ATK by 500 for every Dragon on the Doll's side of the field ("Buster Blader": 2600 → 3100 ATK).
The Doll's hand contains "Infinite Cards", "Card of Safe Return" and "Slime King".
Turn 12: Dark Yugi
Dark Yugi's hand contains "Kuriboh", "Spellbinding Circle", "Lightforce Sword" and three other cards. Dark Yugi Sets two cards and Summons "Kuriboh" in Defense Mode. At the end of Dark Yugi's turn, "Nightmare Steel Cage" is destroyed, allowing Dark Yugi to attack and be attacked.
Turn 13: The Doll
The Doll draws ("Slifer": 3000 → 4000 ATK, 3000 → 4000 DEF). "Slifer" attacks "Buster Blader," but Dark Yugi activates "Lightforce Sword", removing one card in The Doll's hand from play for four turns, consequently reducing the ATK of "Slifer" ("Slifer": 4000 → 3000 ATK, 4000 → 3000 DEF). "Buster Blader" counterattacks, but the Doll activates "Jam Defender", switching the attack target to "Revival Jam", which is then destroyed. As "Revival Jam" Special Summons itself back from the Graveyard by its effect, the Doll activates "Card of Safe Return" ("Slifer": 3000 → 2000 ATK, 3000 → 2000 DEF), causing him to draw three cards each time a monster is Summoned from the Graveyard. The effect of "Revival Jam" resolves and it is Summoned, causing The Doll to draw three cards ("Slifer": 2000 → 5000 ATK, 2000 → 5000 DEF). "Slifer the Sky Dragon" attacks and destroys "Buster Blader" (Dark Yugi: 4000 → 2100 Life Points).
