Summary

At the Shrine of Wedju, Seto greets Akhenaden and briefs him in on the ka hunt. They found about twenty people hiding superior ka and confined them to the prison tower, where the Pharaoh would not find them. Akhenaden is shocked that they went as far as arresting them and pleas with Seto to release them, before they start down the pat of darkness. While Akhenaden tries to talk Seto out of this action, Seto reports that he has found a person with a ka to rival the Gods. Akhenaden is once again surprised and left speechless. Seto describes the woman who holds the ka and how he is letting her rest to regain her strength, before he finds a way to draw the greatest amount of power from that ka. He says he will torture the prisoners to research the best way to do this and report back when he can show Akhenaden The White Dragon.

After Seto leaves, Akhenaden falls to his knees, as the temptation of his Millennium Eye is somehow sparked by the news of this White Dragon. He starts to worry that his son is trying to commit the same sin that he did.

Bakura hides outside the gates to the palace as he prepares for his next attack. While there are more guards present than before, he manages to slip through them, under Diabound's stealth; a power it gained after Bakura took possession of the Millennium Ring. Determined not to make the same mistake of facing the Pharaoh and all the priests at once, he heads to the Shrine of Wedju to begin killing the other Millennium Item holders one at a time.

Inside the shrine, Bakura confronts Akhenaden. Seeing the Millennium Ring around his neck, Akhenaden infers that Bakura killed Mahado. Bakura confirms this and reveals his plan to take all the Millennium Items. Akhenaden is disgusted by Bakura's nerve and tries summoning ka from their stone tablets. However, the invisible Diabound manages to shatter the tablets Akhenaden tries to draw ka from, before the monsters can be summoned.

Using the power of the Millennium Ring, Bakura flings Akhenaden back onto a tablet. With Diabound towering behind him, Bakura wonders if he should he let Akhenaden live or die, but says he will let him decide for himself.
