- This is the first monster in the "Xyz" archetype.
- Remoras, sometimes called suckerfishes, are a kind of fish which attach themselves to bigger fishes. However, this monster resembles a hammerhead shark rather than a remora, unlike "Shark Stickers" whose origin is also a remora.
- This card's effect reflects it on the fact that it "sucks" Xyz Materials from Xyz Monsters.
