Featured Duel: Marik Ishtar VS. Joey Wheeler - Part 3
Duel continues from previous episode.
Joey Wheeler's Turn
- Attacks with "Lava Golem", but Marik activates "Relieve Monster", returning "Plasma Eel" to his hand, then Special Summons it back to his side of the field (500 ATK / 1200 DEF) in Defense Position.
- Since it can't be destroyed by battle, "Lava Golem" does not destroy it.
- "Lava Golem" inflicts 700 damage to Joey (Joey: 2900 > 2200 Life Points).
(NOTE: In the real game, "Lava Golem" inflicts 1000 damage).
Marik Ishtar's Turn
- Activates "Machine Duplication", Special Summoning 2 more "Plasma Eels" (500 ATK / 1200 DEF) to the field.
- 2 of Marik's "Plasma Eels" equip themselves to "Rocket Warrior" and "Lava Golem".
- Sets a card.
Joey Wheeler's Turn
- Activates "Graceful Dice" and rolls a 6, raising "Plasma Eel's" ATK by 6 times its original strength ("Plasma Eel": 500 > 3000 ATK / 1200 DEF). This negates "Machine Duplication's" effect, destroying the other 2 "Plasma Eels" and freeing Joey's monsters.
(NOTE: In the real game, "Graceful Dice" increases the ATK of all your monsters by the number rolled x 100 and cannot target the opponent's monsters. Also "Machine Duplication" is not a Continuous Spell Card and its effect is *not* negated by increasing the ATK of the original monster it duplicated).
- Tributes "Panther Warrior", "Rocket Warrior" and "Lava Golem" to summon "Gilford the Lightning" (2800 ATK / 1400 DEF), activating its effect: Marik's monsters are destroyed.
- Attacks with "Gilford the Lightning", but Marik activates "Nightmare Mirror" to negate the attack and inflicting 1000 damage to Joey (Joey: 2200 > 1200 Life Points) and allowing him to discard "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from his hand.
Marik Ishtar's Turn
- Activates "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from his Graveyard back to the field (? ATK / ? DEF) and transforms it into "Egyptian God Phoenix" (0 ATK / 0 DEF).
