"Clash in the Coliseum - Part 2", known as "The Three God-Summoning Knights" in the Japanese version, is the one hundred and thirtieth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! second series anime. It first aired in Japan on October 22, 2002 and in the United States on June 5, 2004.

Turn 7: Yami Yugi

• Yugi's hand contains "Big Shield Gardna", "Magical Hats" "Collected Power", "Slifer the Sky Dragon".
• Draws "Soul Rope".
• Summons "Big Shield Gardna" (100 ATK / 2600 DEF) in Defense Position.
• Sets a card.

Turn 8: Kaiba

• Second turn that "Lightforce Sword" is keeping Seto's "Obelisk the Tormentor" removed from the game.
• Draws "Z-Metal Tank".
• Sets a card.
• Summons "Z-Metal Tank" (1500 ATK / 1300 DEF) in Attack Position.
• Activates the effect of "Y-Dragon Head, unequipping it from "X-Head Cannon" and Special Summoning it from the Spell & Trap Card Zone. (ATK: 2200 → 1800 ATK / 1900 → 1500 DEF)
• Sends "X-Head Cannon", "Y-Dragon Head" and "Z-Metal Tank" to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" (2800 ATK / 2600 DEF) in Attack Position.
• Uses "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" to attack & destroy Yugi's "Big Shield Gardna".
• Since one of his monsters was destroyed, Yugi activates "Soul Rope": he pays 1000 LP (Yugi: 4000 → 3000 Life Points) to Special Summon a Level 4 or below monster from his Deck. He chooses to summon "King's Knight" (1600 ATK / 1400 DEF) in Attack Position.
• Since Yugi also controls "Queen's Knight", Yugi activates "King's Knight's" effect: he Special Summons "Jack's Knight" (1900 ATK / 1000 DEF) to the field in Attack Position.

Turn 9: Yami Yugi

• Draws "Pot of Greed".
• Tributes "Queen's Knight", "King's Knight", and "Jack's Knight" to summon "Slifer the Sky Dragon" in Attack Position. Since Yugi holds 3 cards in his hand, Slifer's ATK/DEF is 3000 ("Slifer the Sky Dragon": 0 → 3000 ATK /0 → 3000 DEF).
• Uses "Slifer the Sky Dragon" to attack "XYZ-Dragon Cannon".
  • Seto activates "Interdimensional Matter Transporter", removing "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" from play until his next turn. Because of that, "Slifer's" attack is negated as its original target was removed from the field (NOTE: in the real game, this would create a replay and Yugi could just attack Kaiba directly and defeat him).
• Yugi sets a card("Pot of Greed") ("Slifer the Sky Dragon": 3000 → 2000 ATK / 3000 → 2000 DEF).
• "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" returns to the field on the End Phase.

Turn 10: Kaiba

Now both players have an Egyptian God card on the field

• Seto draws.
• Third turn that "Lightforce Sword" is keeping Seto's "Obelisk the Tormentor" removed from the game. It returns to Seto's hand on his Standby Phase (NOTE: in the real game, "Lightforce Sword" keeps the card for 3 *full* turns and returns it on the opponent's *4th* Standby Phase, i.e. Seto's next turn).
• Tributes "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" to summon "Obelisk the Tormentor" (4000 ATK / 4000 DEF) in Attack Position.

Joey vs. unknown opponent

Duel already in progress. Joey's opponent controls "Petit Dragon" in Attack Position while Joey controls no cards.

Turn ?: Joey Wheeler
Joey Normal Summons "Axe Raider" in Attack Position (1700/1150). "Axe Raider attacks and destroys "Petit Dragon" (Joey's opponent ? → 0).

Differences in adaptations

• When Yugi thinks about Life Shaver's effect, Slifer is added over his face in the English version.
• The ghostly figures have been given clothing in the dub.
• A sequence is cut from the English version, in which the XYZ-Dragon Cannon brings out its guns and points them at Yugi, Yugi then thinking that he has no monsters that can fight it, and knows that Lightforce Sword will disappear next turn, bringing Obelisk back to Kaiba's hand, so that Kaiba can sacrifice the XYZ-Dragon Cannon to summon it.
• Interdimensional Matter Transporter is changed from a Spell to a Trap Card in the dub.
