Major Events
- This is a Shadow Game played between Yami Yugi and Yami Marik. As each player's Life Points decrease, their respective hosts (Yugi Muto and Marik Ishtar) will have more and more of their body wiped out.
- When a player loses, both spirit and host will be sent to the Shadow Realm.
- Before the match begins, Kaiba gives Yugi a card which will help him win the duel, "Fiend's Sanctuary".
Featured Duel: Marik Ishtar vs. Yugi Muto - Part 1
Turn 1: Yami Marik
- Draws and Summons "Vampiric Leech" (500 ATK / 1200 DEF) in Attack Position and uses its effect to allow it to attack Yugi directly on the first turn (Yugi: 4000 > 3500 Life Points).
- Activates "Vampiric Leech's second effect, discarding 1 card to switch it to Defense Position. Marik discards "The Winged Dragon of Ra".
- Besides "The Winged Dragon of Ra", Marik's hand is shown to contain "Dark Spell Regeneration", "Juragedo", "Zombie's Jewel", and "Vengeful Bog Spirit".
- Sets a card.
Turn 2: Yami Yugi
- Draws "Exchange".

Turn 5: Yami Marik
- Sets a card (Yugi's "De-Fusion").
- Activates "Card of Sanctity" to make him and Yugi draw until they both have 6 cards in their hand
(NOTE: In the real game, Card of Sanctity lets you must remove every card from your hand and on your side of the field then it lets you draw until you have 2 cards in your hand).
- Switches "Juragedo" to Defense Position.
Turn 6: Yami Yugi
- Draws "Slifer the Sky Dragon".
- Aside from "Slifer", Yugi's hand contains "Ragnarok", "Kuriboh", "Dark Magician Girl", "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts", "Magical Dimension", and "Dark Magician".
- Tributes "Queen's Knight", "King's Knight" and "Jack's Knight" to Summon "Slifer the Sky Dragon" (X000 ATK / X000 DEF) in Attack Position. Since Yugi has 6 cards in his hand, Slifer's ATK/DEF is 6×1000 (6000 ATK / 6000 DEF).
