The Last Human: Z-ONE is the one-hundred and forty sixth episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
The members of Team 5D's receive a shock upon discovering that the "Antinomy" Yusei fought against was in fact Bruno. Despite the group suffering as a result, they continue deeper into the Ark Cradle in order to confront its final resident - Z-one, until Aporia - who was thought to have been defeated - reappears. In an effort to remind Z-one of hope, Aporia initiates a duel with him. However, the strategy with which Z-one responds to Aporia - who summons Machine Emperor Grannel from the offset and commences a relentless attack - exceeds anything Yusei could have possibly imagined.

Aporia's Turn
Aporia Normal Summons "Grand Core", then activates "Chaos Bloom", destroying "Grand Core" and activating its effect, Special Summoning "Machine Emperor Grannel Infinity", "Grannel Top", "Grannel Attack", "Grannel Guard", and "Grannel Carrier" from his hand, Deck, or Graveyard. He combines them, and "Grannel's" ATK is equal to Aporia's Life Points (ATK: 4000). Aporia sets 1 card and ends his turn.
Z-one's Turn
Z-one Normal Summons "Temporal Machine Angel" and attacks "Grannel". "Grannel" destroys "Temporal Machine Angel", but Z-one activates "The Fool's Ruling" from his hand, reducing damage to 0. "Temporal Machine Angel's" effect activates, returning "Grannel" and all its parts to Aporia's hand. Next, Z-one activates "The Magician's Wisdom" from his hand, inflicting 300 damage to Aporia for each card returned (Aporia: 4000 → 2500). Z-one sets 1 card and ends his turn.
Aporia's Turn
Aporia Normal Summons "Wise Core", then activates "Chaos Blast", milling 3 cards and destroying "Wise Core" and activating its effect, Special Summoning "Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity", "Wisel Top", "Wisel Attack", "Wisel Guard", and "Wisel Carrier" from his hand, Deck, or Graveyard. He combines them and "Wisel" attacks Z-one directly, but Z-one activates "The High Priestess's Staff" from his hand, ending the Battle Phase and inflicting 500 damage (Aporia: 2500 → 2000). Aporia sets 1 card and ends his turn.
Z-one's Turn
Z-one activates his face-down "Zero Machine Ein", letting him Normal summon a Level 10 or higher Monster without tribute from his hand while that monster Attack will become 0. He chooses to Normal Summon "Temporal Machine God Metaion", and it attacks "Wisel". "Temporal Machine God Metaion's" effect activates, negating its destruction and Battle Damage, as well as returning "Wisel" and its parts to Aporia's hand and inflicting 300 damage to Aporia for each card returned (Aporia: 2000 → 500). Z-one ends his turn.
Aporia's Turn
Aporia draws "After Glow" and Normal Summons "Sky Core".
