After the Duel between Yuya and Reiji, both are nowhere to be found. As everyone prepares for the upcoming battle for the Genesis Omega Dragon, Ren starts his move.

SummaryEdit

It has been two weeks since the Duel between Yuya Sakaki and Reiji Akaba, and since then, both have seemingly vanished.

Shun Kurosaki and Shingo Sawatari are left searching the streets to discover what's become of the president of Leo Corporation, which has now been closed down. Shingo is also worried for Sora Shiunin, another associate of theirs who also disappeared around the same time, but insists its only because he still owes Shingo money that he lent for candy. At the same time, Yuzu Hiiragi is also scouring the streets, searching for any news of Yuya, who still hasn't made good on his contract to promote her family's school. Besides that, the celebrity she manages as an agent has disappeared, and that stings her pride more than anything.

Both parties are so engrossed in their search, that neither notices that they're walking on the same sidewalk, at the same pace and in opposite directions, until both are directly in front of the other. At the same time, Yuzu and Shingo point and accuse the other, word for word, of being the one that always hangs around with their friend's enemy. Shun directly asks if Yuzu knows where Reiji has gone, and Yuzu asks the same of them about Yuya. Shun asks if she's looking for the Phantom, and Yuzu asks the same of them about President Akaba.

After that silly bit of back-and-forth, Yuzu admits that she has seen Reiji. She had been crossing a bridge over the freeway, when a fancy sports car drove by, with Reiji inside, towards the airport. Seeing him is what made Yuzu sure that Yuya must be out there somewhere as well. Shingo is dismayed that Reiji isn't even in town anymore. Shun turns to leave without another word, and Shingo hurries after him. Yuzu calls after them for asking questions of her and not answering her own. Shingo turns and mentions that there was talk in the last two weeks of some sort of "manhole monster" in the sewers around the south district of Maiami City. With that, both parties go their separate ways.

Soon, Shun and Shingo arrive at the Leo Corporation building. Shun is determined to use the company's advanced computers to find where Reiji has gone, but Shingo points out that the building is closed. Without a word, Shun pulls out his Duel Disk and Summons Raidraptor - Napalm Dragonius, using it to blast the glass doors open. Shingo realizes that Shun must have gone completely crazy, and Shun replies that he must find President Akaba, no matter the cost. He failed against the Phantom, and now Akaba is nowhere to be found: what is Shun to do with his thirst for battle?

Entering the room containing Decoy, an AI system that acts as an information hub, and demands that it find President Akaba, priority order. However, Reiji shows how little he wants to be followed, as Decoy has been locked to respond to him alone. But Shingo has an ace up his sleeve: gloves made with Reiji Akaba's fingerprints, found while he was searching through Sora's room. Placing the glove on the scanner, the computer unlocks, and Shun orders it to begin the search. The search completes, and shows them an image of the Leo Corporation Space Exploration Center.

At the same time, Yuzu has arrived at the southern district of Maiami City, still wondering what sort of "manhole monster" could be hiding underground. She sees some children playing near a manhole nearby, and asks them about it. One of them explains that sometimes, the manhole right next to them makes weird noises and begins to rattle. As Yuzu looks, the manhole starts to make a funny noise, like an engine rumbling, and the manhole starts to rattle. The child backs up, explaining that after that, there's a big splash, just as the manhole bursts up, splashing the area, Yuzu included, in water.

Underneath Yuzu, in the sewers, Yugo presses Yuya to drive the Duel Runner faster, and to not let the speed scare him. Yuya exclaims that this sort of speed is unreasonable, but accelerates anyway, with Yugo saying that this is the only way he'll be able to keep up with Ren. Yuya comes to a sudden halt before a flood gate, with an accompanying splash of water. Yugo commends Yuya for the progress he's made in such a short time, and Yuya says that with praise like that, he'll work even harder. At that moment, he notices Yuzu, who had entered the sewer and was standing right in the splash zone, now looking wet and angry.

Yuzu exclaims that she's been looking everywhere for Yuya, and demands to know what he's doing hiding down here. Yuya explains he's been training to ride a Duel Runner, as his enemies will likely challenge him to Duel on one soon, and underground was the best place to stay out of their sight. Yuzu asks if he means the masked man (whose name nobody told her), and Yuya agrees, saying that he's destined to fight them since they're in control of Genesis Omega Dragon. Yuzu's following along so far, but wonders why Yuya is training specifically, as she knows Yugo is already a great rider. Yuya says that Yugo wants him to practice, just in case. Yuzu asks in case of what, but Yuya deflects, saying he should get back to it.

Yugo tells Yuya to run a lap on his own now, and Yuya agrees, peeling off down the tunnel and hitting Yuzu with the backsplash. Yuto and Yuri, Yuya's other Phantoms, appear. Yuto says that he's being pretty hard on Yuya, and Yuri, agreeing with Yuzu, wonders why Yugo doesn't Duel in Yuya's place. But Yugo knows that Yuri knows the reason: his mind has been going blank, as if blacking out, while he's with Yuya, more and more often lately. Perhaps the Adam Factor that Yuya possesses is starting to interfere with their presence now that it's awakened, or maybe time's catching up with them, but whatever the reason, they may not be with Yuya much longer. And Yugo wants to teach Yuya everything he can while he can.

Later, in a distant place, Ren is using their resources to search for Yuya Sakaki and Reiji Akaba, with Sora Shiunin, whose real memories have recently returned, assisting. Sora notices something appear on one of their monitoring screens, and notes that Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon has just been materialized through Solid Vision somewhere. From the looks of it, it's at a particle accelerator, but Sora thinks it looks more like a racing circuit. Ren knows what this means.

In another room, Eve sits in a medical chair, the G.O.D. card in hand, as Isaac, her closest ally, looks over her vitals. Isaac laments how deplorable a scientist he must be, for despite having all the time in the world, he still can't decipher the illness that plagues Eve, nor the true nature of the card she wields. Eve sits up and assures Isaac that he's a brilliant scientist, and that this is merely the price to pay for erasing history as they've done. She has no regrets over the way she's lived.

No matter how much time they have, no matter the amount of lives they can live, nobody can escape the memories of their first life. No matter how many times she and Ren and Sora try to re-live their lives with G.O.D.'s power, all they can do is try to complete those memories, and give them the happy ending they've been denied. Isaac remembers fondly how the three of them, himself, Eve, and Adam, first met. Eve looks at the card she's holding and thinks to herself that she's grown ugly now, with a large scar covering the left side of her face. But despite this sickness consuming her, the card she's holding that's caused it is her life now. Isaac, who bears the same scar as Eve, though not covering as much of his face, insists that she is still beautiful, and that once G.O.D. awakens, all their memories will be complete. Taking Eve's hand, Isaac vows that even if it costs him his life, he will make Eve's dream a reality.

Ren walks through their base, to the room where he keeps his Duel Runners. Picking out a more advanced model than what he used in his previous Duel, Ren prepares to depart for the particle accelerator. It would seem that he's been summoned.
