"Reiji's Power!!" is the fortieth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga.
This chapter was first printed in Japanese in 2019's issue 2 of V Jump, released on December 21, 2018 and in English in Weekly Shonen Jump, on December 20, 2018.
Yuya and Reiji continue their battle. Whilst Yuya uses the power of his three brothers, Reiji manifests the power of G.O.D within him.
Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. Reiji Akaba
The duel is conducted as an Action Duel.
Turn 2: Yuya
Yuya Synchro Summons "Clearwing Fast Dragon". As Yuya Special Summoned a Synchro Monster, Reiji activates the effect of his "D/D Dog", allowing him to negate the effect of a Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Monster and prevent that monster from attacking. He targets "Clearwing". Yuya activates the effect of "Speedroid Block-N-Roll", as it was used as material for a Synchro Monster, he can Special Summon a "Speedroid Token" (Level 7, 0/???) with a Level equal to the summoned Synchro Monster.
Next, he activates the Spell "Surprise Fusion", allowing him to Fusion Summon using monster he controls as material. He fuses "Clearwing" and "Speedroid Token" to Fusion Summon "Starving Venemy Dragon" (2500/2000). Reiji activates the Continuous Trap "Doppler Demon Dowsing". As Yuya Special Summoned a monster to his field, Reiji can Special Summon a Demon Pendulum Monster from his deck with the same name as a monster he controls. He choose to Specula Summon a second "D/D Dog" (2000/???). Reiji then activates the effect of his second "D/D Dog", as Yuya summoned a Fusion Monster, negating the effects and preventing the attacks of "Venemy Dragon".
Yuya activates the second effect of "Surprise Fusion", banishing it from his Graveyard and tributing a Fusion Monster he controls to Special Summon 2 "Surprise Tokens" with Level equal to the tributed monster (Level 7, 0/???). Yuya Overlays his two tokens to Xyz Summon "Dark Anthelion Dragon" (3000/2500, ORU 2). Reiji responds by activating the second effect of "Doppler Demon Dowsing". As he controls 2 Demon Pendulum monsters with the same name, he sends "Doppler Demon Dowsing" to the Graveyard to Special Summon a third monster with that name, summoning a third "D/D Dog" (2000/???). Reiji activates the effect of his third "D/D Dog" to negate the effects and attack of "Dark Anthelion".
Yuya sets the Pendulum Scale by placing "EnterMate BaroKuriboh" (PS 1) in his left Pendulum Zone and "EnterMate ClassiKuriboh" (PS 8) in his right. He then proceeds to Pendulum Summon "Clearwing" (2500/2000) and "Starving Venemy" (2500/2000). Reiji responds by activating the Pendulum Effect of "D/D Evil", as Yuya Pendulum Summoned monsters, he can negate the effects of those monsters and prevent them from attacking. He targets "Starving Venemy" and "Clearwing" with this effect.
Yuya tributes "Starving Venemy", "Clearwing" and "Dark Anthelion" to Special Summon "God-Eyes Phantom Dragon" from his hand. Reiji activates the Continuous Trap "Go-D/D World". So long as it is active, and he controls 5 "D/D" cards, Reiji's "D/D" cards will be treated as "Go-D/D" cards. Also, Yuya cannot attack the turn it is activated.
Turn 3: Reiji
Reiji obtains this turns Action Card. He then activates the effect of "Go-D/D Ark", as he controls two cards in his Pendulum Zones, he can ignore the Pendulum Scales, but can only Pendulum Summon 1 Monster. Reiji Pendulum Summons "Divine Go-D/D/D Zero King Zero God Reiji" (0/0 PS 0).
