"Action Battle!!" is the forty-fourth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga.
This chapter was first printed in Japanese in 2019's issue 5 of V Jump, released on March 21, 2019 and in English in the Shonen Jump digital vault and the MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA website, on March 20, 2019.
Yuya and Reiji continue their duel with an all out battle using the many Action Cards they have collected before each of their G.O.D monsters finally returns to the field.
Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. Reiji Akaba
Duel continues from the previous Scale.
Turn 8: Yuya
Using the effect of "Pendulum Match", Yuya Special Summons "Dark Anthelion Dragon" from his Extra Deck (3000/2500). The second effect of "Pendulum Match" allows Reiji to Special Summon a Pendulum Monster from his deck with a Pendulum Scale equal to that of "Anthelion". Reiji chooses to Special Summon "D/D/D/D Super-Dimensional Sovereign Emperor Zero Paradox" from his deck (3000/3000). As it was Special Summoned, Reiji activates the effect of "Zero Paradox" destroying every card on the field, expect for itself. The final effect of "Pendulum Match" activates, as a battle had ended, "Zero Paradox" is destroyed.
Yuya activates the Action Spell "The Show Must Go On", allowing him to take 2 of Reiji's Action Cards and add them to his own hand. He then proceeds to activate the Action Spell "Big Dominoes", allowing him to inflict 500 points of damage to Reiji for each card they have. As they have a total of 7 cards between them, Reiji would take 3500 LP of damage. Reiji responds by activating the Action Spell "Reverse Dominoes", allowing him to inflict the damage he would take to Yuya. Yuya then activates the Action Spell "Swingmelon", doubling the effect damage from an Action Card and inflicting it on his opponent. In response, Reiji activates the Action Spell "Stop", negating the damage that would be inflicted by an Action Spell.
Yuya activates the Action Spell "Splash Seeds", inflicting 500 LP of damage to Reiji for each Action Card used this turn. As 5 other Action Spells were activated this turn, Reiji takes 2500 LP of damage (4000 -> 1500).
Turn 9: Reiji
Yuya obtains this turns Action Card. The effect of "EnterMate Turntrooper" activates, returning "God-Eyes Phantom Dragon" and "Divine Go-D/D/D Zero King Zero God Reiji" to the field. Next, Reiji Normal Summons "D/D Destiny Surveyor" (0/???). Yuya activates the Continuous Trap Card "Trick Explanation", which prevents monsters from being tributes to activate the effects of other monsters. Reiji activates the effect of "Destiny Surveyor", allowing it to be equipped to a Pendulum Monster, choosing to equip it to "Zero God Reiji". Whilst equipped, Reiji will take no damage from battles involving "Zero God Reiji" and it cannot be destroyed as a result of battle.
Reiji uses "Zero God Reiji" to attack "God-Eyes". Yuya activates the second effect of "Trick Explanation", sending it to the Graveyard to destroy a Spell or Trap on the field. He chooses to destroy "Destiny Surveyor". As it has high ATK, "God-Eyes" destroys "Zero God Reiji". Reiji then activates the effect of "Destiny Surveyor" in his Graveyard, banishing it to reduce battle damage involving a "D/D" monster to 0. Also, it destroys the monster that battled, destroying "God-Eyes" and inflicting damage to Yuya equal to half that monsters ATK.
Yuya activates the Action Spell "Double Burst", inflicting the same damage he would take to Reiji. Reiji responds by activating the effect of "D/D Zero Surveyor" in his hand. As he would take effect damage that would reduce his LP to 0, he can discard "Zero Surveyor" to reduce the damage he would take so that he is left with 100 LP. Both Yuya and Reiji take 1400 damage (Yuya LP 1500 -> 100, Reiji 1500 -> 100).
