"Beyond the Struggle..." titled "At the End of the Fierce Battle..." (げきとうてに。。。 Gekitō no Hate ni。。。) in the Japanese version, is the ninth volume of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga.

The Japanese version is 264 pages long and costs ¥480 (including tax). Its dimensions are 17.6 cm × 11.4 cm × 2.2 cm.[1]

The English version is 272 pages long and costs $9,99 (book) or $4,99 (digital).[2]

Promotional card

The volume includes a promotional card, "Elemental HERO Escuridao", printed as "Elemental Hero Escuridao", which is used by Jaden Yuki in this volume.

The two gain an early advantage and Tragoedia only Sets cards. With the attack of "Elemental Hero Gaia", the Duel looks to be a quick one.

"The Supremacy Sun" devastates Jaden and Chazz, while Tragoedia steadily gains Life Points via the effect of "Ebon Sun". In dire straits, Chazz declares that he entrusts the Duel to Jaden's next draw and "Winged Kuriboh" is Summoned.

"At the End of the Fierce Battle..."
Jaden fuses "Winged Kuriboh" with "Light and Darkness Dragon" to create "Ma'at", which harnesses the power of the Millennium Items. Using the abilities of this monster and his own "Elemental Hero Terra Firma", Tragoedia is defeated. Years later, Jaden competes against his mentor Koyo Hibiki for the Pro League title.
