"Magnum Overlord" clashes against "Wurm Ex-Cavator" in an intense battle! Yuga and Asana are having fun with their Duel. However, Asana's beloved R6 eventually breaks down. Even so, Asana still won't back down, as she wants to take back the Mutsuba name's pride.

SummaryEdit

The two Maximum Monsters themselves begin to disintegrate.

As "Supreme Machine Magnum Overlord" and "Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco" continue to clash, Gavin gasps that it's a battle of Maximum vs. Maximum, while Romin and Luke note that whoever's Maximum cards disintegrate first will lose. Asana tells Yuga that this is really it; they are piercing the earth and demolishing mountains with two giants clashing against one another with all their might. This is the kind of Duel she's always wanted, and she's never had so much fun. Yuga agrees, and Asana tells "Excavator" that it can do this, while Yuga encourages "Magnum Overlord" to keep fighting on. The two Maximum Monsters intensify their clash, and the monsters themselves begin to blacken as their cards do, and Caterpillio gasps that they're disassembling. Yuga and Asana cry their monsters' names, and then both "Magnum Overlord" and "Wyrm Excavator", the cards and the monsters, glow with a blinding white light - and the hillside explodes.

Asana and Yuga reaffirm one another's strength.

The smoke fades to reveal a sphere cut from the hillside containing the Duel within its Solid Vision dome, the two Maximum Monsters enveloped in their own sphere of energy. Luke asks in shock who won, and Yuga and Asana look at their Duel Disks, where both sets of Maximum cards have turned completely black, much to their shock. Kaizo announces that both Maximums disintegrated at the same time, so the battle was a draw. Gavin and Romin gasp that the two Maximums destroyed one another, and as the cards shred from their Duel Disks, both Yuga and Asana thank their Maximums as the monsters shred into black particles and vanish. Yuga and Asana's Duel Disks return to normal as well, and Asana confirms the disintegration of the Maximum, as do Galian, Schubel, Pidgetrap, Caterpillio, and the rest of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club students. Luke meanwhile sobs over the charred remains of the cards, lamenting that he can fix them with tape (much to the embarrassment of Romin, Gavin, Tracker, Rayne and Rino). Asana admits that "Magnum Overlord" was pretty strong and Yuga admits that he didn't think the Duel would end in a tie, though as Asana notes the Duel isn't over yet. Yuga agrees, and he ends his turn.

Asana reveals "Constructor Wyrm Buildragon" from her Deck.

Asana declares her turn and draws two "Constructor Soldier Drillzard", "Picklon the Constructor Fairy", "Constructor Blockade", and "Geological Survey". She Sets "Constructor Blockade", then Summons "Picklon the Constructor Fairy", who gains 400 ATK due to the effect of her Field Spell Card, "Peaks of Blisstopia", rising to 600 ATK. Then Asana activates the Spell Card "Geological Survey", excavating the top two cards of her Deck, and Galian confirms the excavation of "Constructor Sword Foreman", while Schubel confirms "Constructor Wyrm Buildragon". Asana then explains that she can return them to the top of her Deck in any order, and she places "Buildragon" back first. Gavin gasps that Asana has switched the order, and Romin notes that she'll draw "Buildragon" on her next turn. But Asana activates the effect of "Picklon", sending a "Drillzard" from her hand to the Graveyard to draw a card; "Buildragon". Romin and Gavin gasp in shock, and Luke realizes that this is why Asana used "Geological Survey". Asana Summons another "Drillzard", then she Tributes it along with "Picklon", chanting "No road lies before you. As you press on, a road is made behind you. Continue on that path to infinity, eternally! Constructor Wyrm Buildragon, engage!" It gains 400 ATK from "Blisstopia", rising to 2900 ATK as it glows with a pink aura.

Asana assembles monsters with enough ATK to defeat Yuga.

Yuga gasps in fear and he quickly activates a Trap Card, "Mismatched Rivalry" since his opponent Summoned a Level 5 or higher monster, Special Summoning a Level 5 or lower Normal Monster from his Graveyard, and he brings back "Aqua Sorcerer", though Asana notes that he can't stop her with just 1500 ATK. She activates the "Infinity Reclamation" effect of "Buildragon", Special Summoning a Wyrm Type Normal Monster from her Graveyard, and she revives "Constructor Battler Big Roller", which increases to 2300 ATK due to the effect of "Blisstopia". Romin asks what Yuga is supposed to do, and Gavin admits he's in a tough spot; he'll lose if he's attacked by Asana's 2900 and 2300 ATK monsters. Asana orders "Buildragon" to attack, and as it lunges forwards Yuga grits his teeth and Luke cries his name. Asana asks Yuga what he'll do; will he really just let it end here?

R6 begins to break down.

But then R6 begins belching smoke and leaking oil, and Galian cries that this is bad as Schubel informs her that R6 is at its limit. Asana gasps in horror and she cries R6's name, and across the mine, Romin wonders what's happening and Luke takes note of the smoke. Asana begs her Heavy Cavalry to hold on, but when Yuga asks what's wrong and why she hasn't repaired R6, Galian tells him to stay out of this, Schubel insisting that this is their business. But Asana admits that Yuga is right, and she explains that many parts of their Heavy Cavalry have been used for generations and have deteriorated to the point they can barely operate properly. Yuga asks if they can't just replace them, but Asana's body shakes with sobs as she explains that they can't, as the company that created the Heavy Cavalry, Mutsuba Heavy Machinery, no longer exists. Gavin realizes that using other kinds of parts would count as a modification, and Romin notes that it's against their policy. Luke scoffs at their policy, dubbing it "weird hang-ups", much to the fury of Galian, Schubel and Caterpillio, though Gavin frantically insists they didn't mean to insult them as Romin tells Luke off. But Yuga asks if this is why they want to terminate Rush Dueling so badly, and Asana confirms that they were promised the parts would be remanufactured. Luke and Romin ask who promised her, but Yuga has already figured out that it was Goha Enterprises, much to Luke, Romin and Gavin's shock.

Mimi realizes what Asana is after.

In her office, Mimi has just learned that Mutsuba Heavy Machinery was absorbed into Goha's Heavy Machinery Manufacturing Division due to their deteriorating business and Goha ceased production of their equipment, despite repeated requests from Asana Mutsuba. She realizes that the President Drone made her a deal, or was it the previous President. The President Drone confirms that it was responsible for offering Asana the deal, recalling doing so as Mimi notes that Asana is trying to crush Rush Dueling to revive her family's company, Mutsuba Heavy Machinery, something she empathizes with as being akin to wanting to return to your younger, rosy self. She dances on her desk with fans as she declares that she also wants to dance under the disco ball again someday, but trips on her cloak and falls off her desk as her secretary comes in, asking her to sign some documents. Mimi sheepishly looks over the desk at her surprised employee, laughing Goha's signature laugh.

Asana vows to crush Yuga if he opposes her.

Back at the Mutsuba mine, Schubel declares that Asana's wish will not be fulfilled if she loses to Yuga, and Pidgetrap chirps in agreement, while Galian adds that they would also be unable to revive Mutsuba Heavy Machinery and the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club would also come to an end. Asana states that Mutsuba would disappear from the world if the need for Heavy Machinery did too, and she has sworn to preserve their name at any cost. R6 rumbles again, and a few bolts drop from its chassis, much to Galian and Schubel's worry. Asana admits to Yuga that the Rush Duels he has created make her heart pound and he himself is an energetic and good person, but if she opposes the revival of the Mutsuba name then she will crush him underfoot. She orders the "Heavy Pride Crush" attack of "Buildragon", which swings its tail drill at Yuga's monster as Gavin, Romin, and Luke cry his name.

Yuga activates another Trap Card, "Magical Switch", Special Summoning "Sevens Road Magician" from his Graveyard by sending "Aqua Sorcerer" to the Graveyard. Schubel can only gasp his own name in surprise, and Galian cries that he switched the monsters, though Ranze protests that it doesn't have enough ATK to withstand "Buildragon", who destroys "Sevens Road Magician" with a stroke of its tail, reducing him to 2900 LP, though as Asana notes, it allows him to survive the turn. Yuga chuckles, and Asana admits that he really does intrigue her. But then a panel bursts from R6, and Schubel calls Galian's name. Galian is worried too, but Caterpillio rushes in with his Gohanium tools and declares that it's his turn, bracing R6 with his tools. Chevlle calls out to Pidgetrap, and the little rock pigeon flies into the air and fires a feather into the exposed gears to stabilize the output, before landing back on Schubel's shoulder and exchanging thumbs up. Galian calls out to Asana, and she orders "Big Roller" to attack Yuga directly. "Big Roller" swats Yuga down, reducing him to 600 LP, and Asana ends her turn, the Solid Vision projectors on R6 crackling with electricity.

Yuga gets back up, declares his turn and draws. He's drawn "Road Magic - Uplifter", "Steel Mech Lord Mirror Innovator", "Kuribot", "Type Change Beam", and "Shining Shaman", and he Summons "Kuribot", paying 500 LP to activate its effect. His LP fall to 100, much to Gavin and Romin's horror, as he adds another "Kuribot" from his hand to the Graveyard and Summons it. Then he Tributes both "Kuribot" to Tribute Summon, chanting "A dazzling light that invites me! And what lies beyond? Awaiting me is something I've never seen before! Appear! Steel Mech Lord Mirror Innovator!" "Mirror Innovator", a gleaming silver humanoid, appears with 2400 ATK, and Asana gasps in surprise, while Rayne and Luke gasp that it's Yuga's new ace monster. Yuga explains that he can use the effect of "Mirror Innovator" to select up to three monsters in his Graveyard with the same Type as it and return them to the Deck to have it gain 100 ATK times their total Levels, though both Rino and Schubel note that "Magnum Overlord's" composite cards disintegrated and thus don't exist in Yuga's Graveyard. Galian wonders what Yuga is up to, though Asana thinks that she'll put a stop to it regardless and she sends "Big Roller" to the Graveyard to activate her Trap, "Constructor Blockade", allowing her to choose a Type and prevent monsters of that Type from attacking for the rest of the turn. She chooses the Machine Type to prevent "Mirror Innovator" from attacking, and Yuga gasps as Galian and Schubel confirm the move, while Luke cries "What?!" and Romin frets that Yuga won't be able to attack anymore. Asana declares that this is a curse from Mutsuba Heavy Machinery, which has disappeared without its traditions passed on and Yuga will suffer the wrath of her ancestors. Gavin laments that it's as if Yuga's road has been completely destroyed. But Yuga asks if that's so; if his road has been destroyed, then he'll make a new one, and if his Machine monsters can't attack, then he'll just have to change it.

"Mirror Innovator" becomes a Spellcaster monster.

Asana gasps "What?!" as Yuga activates the Spell Card "Type Change Beam", revealing the "Shining Shaman" in his hand to change "Mirror Innovator" into a Spellcaster Type monster until the end of the turn. An elfin face appears on "Mirror Innovator" as Asana is floored by Yuga actually changing the Type of his monster, though Schubel protests that it still only has 2400 ATK. Yuga activates the "Curious Innovation" effect of "Mirror Innovator", reminding them that he can choose three monsters in the Graveyard that match the Spellcaster Type of "Mirror Innovator" and return them to his Deck to increase its ATK by 100 times their combined Levels. He chooses "Sevens Road Magician", a Level 7 as Luke notes, then "Sieth, the Scabbard of Noble Arms", a Level 5, as Romin notes, and "Aqua Sorcerer", which Gavin notes is Level 4. Kaizo cheers that it's a total ATK increase of 1600, and "Mirror Innovator" rises to 4000 ATK, as Rayne and Rino note. Asana flinches back in shock as Yuga admits that he'd have been able to power "Mirror Innovator" up more if he'd had "Magnum Overlord", but this is fine since Machine monsters can't attack. Schubel insists that Asana will still have LP remaining even if Yuga destroys "Buildragon", but Yuga notes that he isn't done yet and he borrows the power of a LIGHT monster to activate the Spell "Road Magic - Uplifter", which increases the ATK of "Mirror Innovator" by the ATK of "Buildragon", blasting a laser at "Buildragon" that infuses both monsters with an orange aura. Gavin gasps that it has 6900 ATK, and Romin and Luke cry that it's over.

The Heavy Cavalry Duel Club unite to keep R6 together.

Asana grits her teeth in fear, but then R6 begins to burst again and she gasps its name. Caterpillio flings off his mask and he calls the other six Heavy Cavalry Duel Club students forward, as they all interlock hands and work to keep R6 together. Galian holds up Caterpillio's spanner and R6's arm, vowing that they are the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club, while Caterpillio vows that they are with Asana, and Chevlle, as he and Pidgetrap struggle to hold up R6, add that they are also with the spirit of the Heavy Cavalry. Romin admits that they're kind of amazing, and Gavin notes that they have so much weight on their shoulders, so is it really okay for them to win? But Luke thinks to himself that they created Rush Dueling to become the King of Duels, so they can't lose here, but is Yuga really going to be okay with that? In the Goha Enterprises Main Office, the President Drone chuckles as Mimi looks out over Goha City, thinking that someone will lose something important no matter who wins this Duel. But at Goha #7 Elementary, Tiger stands atop the roof with her bassoon, telling Yuga to smile no matter who wins this Duel, Yosh, Mason, Hicks, Scoop, Masa and Cub all watching the Duel from afar with her, and Tiger thinks that Yuga will be able to save them, won't he? Yuga orders the "Optical Kalediocannon" attack of "Mirror Innovator", who fires six crystal shards into the sky, then refracts a beam of light through itself and them into six rainbow beams that consume "Buildragon". Asana declares glory to the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club, and her fellow students all agree as her LP falls to zero - and R6 finally explodes beneath her, flinging her into the air.

Asana finally finds the Mutsuba-style Mobile Duel Device - R0.

Yuga gasps in shock, and as Romin and Gavin try to process what just happened, Luke frantically asks if they're all right. The smoke clears to reveal that Galian and Schubel (and Pidgetrap) were able to catch Asana with their bodies, while Caterpillio was able to use his tools to block the force of the explosion, and they admit that they were glad they could save her. As the sun sets over the shattered hillside, Asana thanks R6 for fighting alongside her until the end, though she laments being unable to save it and apologizes to it, Galian also breaking down in tears as Caterpillio and Schubel look on sadly. Asana admits that Yuga has won and Rush Dueling will no longer be lost, but as Galian continues to sob, Gavin looks unsure and Luke asks Yuga if this is really okay. But Yuga doesn't reply, walking towards a smooth section of the wall as Romin asks what's wrong. He taps the wall a few times with his fist, and it collapses inwards, much to everyone's shock. Yuga cries in excitement that he found it, and they all enter to find a massive room full of materials. Romin asks what it is, and Gavin admits that it reminds him of Yuga's Road Laboratory, something that Galian muses on in surprise. But Asana has spotted a massive machine emblazoned with the Mutsuba Heavy Machinery logo and the Goha Enterprises logo, and Yuga confirms that it's the Mutsuba-style Mobile Duel Device; R0, isn't it. Galian is shocked to see it, while Schubel and Caterpillio can only stammer out their verbal tics, and Asana admits that its existence had been passed down in her family, but she had no idea the real thing was here. Romin asks if Yuga was looking for it, and Yuga confirms that he was, explaining that he happened upon a mention of it while he was researching in the library and thought that he could definitely make Asana smile if he found it. Asana can only whisper Yuga's name, touched by his statement, and Yuga simply shrugs and grins.

Yuga explains how R0 had to be modified as it was made.

In his Nexus, Nail sits in Seatbastian, noting that long ago when the city was just wilderness, it was said that Mutsuba Heavy Machinery played a very large part in Goha's development of it. They also assisted in the creation of Goha Duels, and it was Mutsuba who came up with the idea of a device to allow anyone to freely Duel. However, as Drone technology advanced and times changed, the demand for heavy machinery decreased along with their business and it was merged into Goha. The Mutsuba family are the main reason that they can enjoy Duels today and this is an accomplishment that should have been appreciated more. Back in the mine, Asana tenderly touches R0, telling her great-grandfather that she found it; in this land, Mutsuba truly thrived. The Heavy Cavalry Duel Club are all tearing up and saluting, but Romin comments that R0 looks like a Road that Yuga would make, and Gavin admits that it certainly seems to have used many different parts. Asana is shocked by the concept, and Yuga lightly comments that it looks like it, though Asana denies that this machine would be so. Schubel asks fi the Mutsuba family really modified it, something Galian calls impossible, but Yuga points out that one will make mistakes when making something new and modify it as they do until they finally get it right. Asana examines the repairs made to R0 and she asks if Yuga found it just to teach her this. Yuga explains that Rush Dueling is the same, and Asana agrees that so is the Mustuba-style Mobile Duel Device, R0.

Asana starts up the remodeled R6.

At Goha #6 Elementary, Janko Entant announces to the student body that the ban on Rush Dueling has been lifted, and as the students cheer he expresses his own joy, deciding to hold a Rush Duel tournament immediately after school...and immediately going into one of his seizures as his fellow Student Council members frantically grab boxes of cards for him to draw, while Asana, Galian (now back in his uniform), Schubel and Caterpillio look on happily from the side of the stage. Later at the Mutsuba Bicycle Shop, Yuga finishes repairing R6, and Asana joyfully starts it up and it begins moving along, impressing Luke, Gavin, Caterpillio, Schubel, Galian and Asana's great-grandfather, who tells Yuga that he's pretty handy. Galian eagerly asks Yuga to fix GG03 for him next, and Yuga reassures him that he'll get right on it. Asana admits that she was so proud of her family's traditions that she had come to find any modifications wicked, but she's changed her mind now; modifications and Rush Duels are not bad things. Yuga gives her the thumbs up, and Kaizo in particularly is happy that she doesn't mind modifications and wants to be friends, though Asana pushes him away in disgust, admitting that she still doesn't like Drones. Her friends and Yuga's laugh as Kaizo protests, asking to at least be allowed to start off as friends, and even Asana bursts out laughing.

The Goha President is informed of Goha 6th's fall.

At the Goha Enterprises Main Office, Goha's secretary informs her that Goha #6 Elementary has "fallen", and now elementary students across the city are all enjoying Rush Duels. The President Drone laughs as the secretary leaves with a bow, and once he has, Mimi asks what kind of situation this is. The President Drone declares that it's a very bad situation for the company and they must take immediate action, much to Mimi's shock and exasperation.

Featured Duel: Yuga Ohdo vs Asana MutsubaEdit

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Yuga has 3700 LP and controls "Supreme Machine Magnum Overlord [L]", "Supreme Machine Magnum Overlord", and "Supreme Machine Magnum Overlord [R]" in Maximum Mode (3500 → 3900 MAXIMUM ATK) and two Set cards in his Spell & Trap Zones. Asana has 4000 LP and controls "Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco [L]", "Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco", and "Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco [R]" in Maximum Mode (3500 → 3900 MAXIMUM ATK) and "Peaks of Blisstopia" face-up in her Field Zone.

Turn 3: Yuga
"Magnum Overlord" is currently battling "Wyrm Excavator". Before the battle can finish, the Duel ID cards making up both of them disintegrate simultaneously, so the battle is cancelled and neither player takes battle damage.

Turn 4: Asana
Asana draws two copies of "Constructor Soldier Drillzard", "Picklon the Constructor Fairy", "Constructor Blockade", and "Geological Survey". Asana Sets "Constructor Blockade". Asana Normal Summons "Picklon" (200/1000). The effect of "Peaks of Blisstopia" increases the ATK of all Wyrm Type monsters on the field by 400 and reduces their DEF by 400 ("Picklon": 200/1000 → 600/600). Asana activates the Spell Card "Geological Survey", excavating cards from the top of her Deck equal to the number of cards Yuga controls, and returning the excavated cards to the top or bottom of her Deck in any order. Asana excavates "Constructor Sword Foreman" and "Constructor Wyrm Buildragon", then places the excavated cards on top of her Deck in the opposite order. Asana activates the effect of "Picklon", sending a Wyrm Type monster from her hand to the Graveyard to draw a card. She sends a "Drillzard" to the Graveyard and draws "Buildragon". Asana Normal Summons "Drillzard" (1100/800 → 1500/400). Asana Tributes "Picklon" and "Drillzard" to Tribute Summon "Constructor Wyrm Buildragon" (2500/2000 → 2900/1600). As Asana Normal Summoned a Level 5 or higher monster, Yuga activates his Set Trap Card "Mismatched Rivalry", Special Summoning a Level 5 or lower Normal Monster from his Graveyard in Attack Position. He Special Summons "Aqua Sorcerer" (1500/0). As there is a face-up Field Spell Card on the field, Asana activates the effect of "Buildragon", Special Summoning a Wyrm Type Normal Monster from her Graveyard. She Special Summons "Constructor Battler Big Roller" from her Graveyard in Attack Position (1900/600 → 2300/200). "Buildragon" attacks "Aqua Sorcerer", but as a monster Asana controls declared an attack, Yuga activates his Set Trap Card "Magical Switch", Special Summoning a Spellcaster Type monster from his Graveyard in Attack Position, then sending a monster he controls to the Graveyard. Yuga Special Summons "Sevens Road Magician" (2100/1500) from his Graveyard, then sends "Aqua Sorcerer" to the Graveyard. A replay occurs and "Buildragon" attacks and destroys "Sevens Road Magician" (Yuga: 3700 → 2900 LP). "Big Roller" attacks Yuga directly (Yuga: 2900 → 600 LP).

Turn 5: Yuga
Yuga draws "Road Magic - Uplifter", "Steel Mech Lord Mirror Innovator", "Kuribot", "Type Change Beam", and "Shining Shaman". Yuga Normal Summons "Kuribot" (300/200). As he controls no other monsters, Yuga activates the effect of "Kuribot", paying 500 LP (Yuga: 600 → 100 LP) to add another copy of "Kuribot" from his Graveyard to his hand. Yuga Normal Summons a second "Kuribot" (300/200). Yuga Tributes both "Kuribot" to Tribute Summon "Steel Mech Lord Mirror Innovator" (2400/1700). As Yuga Normal Summoned a Level 7 or higher monster, Asana activates her Set Trap Card "Constructor Blockade", sending a Wyrm Type monster she controls to the Graveyard to choose a face-up monster Yuga controls and prevent monsters Yuga controls with the chosen monster's Type from declaring attacks this turn. Asana sends "Big Roller" to the Graveyard and chooses the Machine Type "Mirror Innovator". Yuga activates the Spell Card "Type Change Beam", revealing a monster in his hand and choosing up to three face-up monsters on the field to change the types of the chosen monsters to the type of the monster revealed from his hand until the end of this turn. Yuga reveals the Spellcaster Type "Shining Shaman" and chooses "Mirror Innovator", changing its Type to Spellcaster. Yuga activates the effect of "Mirror Innovator", returning three monsters with the same Type as "Mirror Innovator" from his Graveyard to his Deck to have it gain ATK equal to the combined Levels of the monsters returned to the Deck x 100 until the end of this turn, and if Yuga only shuffles one monster into the Deck this way, "Mirror Innovator" will inflict piercing battle damage this turn. As "Mirror Innovator" is a Spellcaster Type monster, Yuga shuffles the Level 4 "Aqua Sorcerer", the Level 5 "Sieth, the Scabbard of Noble Arms", and the Level 7 "Sevens Road Magician" into his Deck, which have a total Level of 16 ("Mirror Innovator": 2400/1700 → 4000/1700). As Yuga controls a Level 7 or higher Spellcaster Type monster, he activates the Spell Card "Road Magic - Uplifter", sending a LIGHT Attribute monster from his hand to the Graveyard to choose a face-up monster he controls and have it gain ATK equal to the ATK of the face-up Level 8 or lower monster Asana controls with the least ATK until the end of the turn. Yuga sends "Shining Shaman" to the Graveyard and chooses "Mirror Innovator", which gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Buildragon" ("Mirror Innovator": 4000/1700 → 6900/1700). "Mirror Innovator" attacks and destroys "Buildragon" (Asana: 4000 → 0 LP).
