"Angel With Blue Tears" is the thirty-third episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on December 27, 2017, became available with official subtitles via Crunchyroll on January 10, 2018, and will air in Canada on December 22, 2018.
Blue Angel launches a series of attacks against Spectre with her "Trickstars", but her attacks didn't work, since Spectre is protected by his "Sunavalon". Blue Angel then uses her deadly combo. However, a sinister smile dashes across Spectre's face...

Turn 1: Spectre
The effect of "Sunavalon Dryas" prevents it from being attacked, but it does not prevent Blue Angel's monsters from attacking directly. "Dryas" also cannot be used as Link Material the turn it was Link Summoned. Spectre Sets a card.
Turn 2: Blue Angel
Blue Angel's hand contains two copies of "Trickstar Lycoris", "Trickstar Candina", "Trickstar Light Stage", "Trickstar Light Arena", and "Trickstar Treat". Blue Angel Normal Summons "Trickstar Candina" (1800/400). As "Candina" was Normal Summoned, Blue Angel activates its effect, adding a "Trickstar" card from her Deck to her hand. She adds "Trickstar Reincarnation". Blue Angel activates the Field Spell Card "Trickstar Light Stage". As "Light Stage" was activated, Blue Angel adds a "Trickstar" monster from her Deck to her hand. She adds "Trickstar Lilybell". As "Lilybell" was added to Blue Angel's hand using a method other than drawing, Blue Angel activates its effect, Special Summoning it (800/2000). Blue Angel activates the Field Spell Card "Trickstar Light Arena". Blue Angel activates the effect of "Light Arena", preventing Spectre from activating a Set card in his Spell & Trap Zone while "Light Arena" is in the Field Zone until the End Phase, when he must activate it, or else it is returned to his hand. Blue Angel activates the effect of both copies of "Trickstar Lycoris" in her hand, Special Summoning them, then returning a "Trickstar" monster she controls back to her hand. She Special Summons both in Attack Position (1600/1200 each), then returns "Candina" to her hand. Blue Angel uses both copies of "Lycoris" to Link Summon "Trickstar Holly Angel" (2000/↙↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. As she Link Summoned a "Trickstar" Link Monster, Blue Angel activates the effect of "Light Arena", Special Summoning a "Trickstar" monster from the GY that was used as its material. She Special Summons "Lycoris" (1600/1200) in Attack Position to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Holly Angel" points to. As a "Trickstar" monster was Normal or Special Summoned to a zone "Holly Angel" points to, its effect inflicts 200 damage to Spectre (Spectre: 4000 → 3800 LP). As Spectre took damage from a "Trickstar" monster's effect, "Holly Angel" gains ATK equal to the damage he took ("Holly Angel": 2000 → 2200 ATK).
"Lilybell" attacks directly by its own effect (Spectre: 3800 → 3000 LP). As Spectre took battle or effect damage, he activates the effect of "Dryas", Special Summoning a "Sunvine" Link Monster from his Extra Deck to a zone his "Sunavalon" Link Monster points to, then gaining LP equal to the damage he took. He Special Summons "Sunvine Gardna" (600/↑) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Dryas" points to (Spectre: 3000 → 3800 LP). As "Lilybell" inflicted battle damage to Spectre, Blue Angel activates its effect, adding a "Trickstar" monster from her GY to her hand. She adds her second copy of "Lycoris" to her hand. "Holly Angel" attacks "Sunvine Gardna". As Blue Angel's monster attacked "Gardna", Spectre activates its effect, reducing any battle damage he would take from that battle by 800 times the Link Rating of a "Sunavalon" Link Monster that points to it, in this case one. The attack continues and "Gardna" is destroyed, with its effect reducing the battle damage by 800 (Spectre: 3800 → 3000 LP). As "Sunvine Gardna" was destroyed during the Battle Phase, its effect activates, ending the Battle Phase. Blue Angel activates the effect of "Lycoris" in her hand, Special Summoning it in Attack Position (1600/1200), then returning "Lilybell" to her hand. Blue Angel Sets a card.
During the End Phase, by the effect of "Light Arena", Spectre must activate his Set card or else it is returned to his hand. He chooses to activate his face-down Trap Card "Sunvine Burial", revealing a Set card in Blue Angel's Spell & Trap Zone, and if it is a Trap, it is banished, then all cards with the same name as that Trap in Blue Angel's hand or Deck are also banished. He reveals Blue Angel's Trap Card "Trickstar Reincarnation", banishing it and two more copies of "Reincarnation" from Blue Angel's Deck.
Turn 3: Spectre
Spectre draws. As a card was added to Spectre's hand, the effects of both "Lycoris" each inflict 200 damage to Spectre (Spectre: 3000 → 2800 → 2600 LP). As Spectre took battle or effect damage, he activates the effect of "Dryas", Special Summoning "Sunvine Healer" (600/↑) from his Extra Deck to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Dryas" points to, then gaining LP equal to the damage he took (Spectre: 2600 → 2800 LP). As "Healer" was Special Summoned, Spectre activates its effect, gaining 300 LP times the Link Rating of a "Sunavalon" Link Monster that points to it, in this case one (Spectre: 2800 → 3100 LP). As Spectre took damage from a "Trickstar" monster's effect, "Holly Angel" gains ATK equal to the damage he took ("Holly Angel": 2000 → 2400 ATK). Spectre uses "Dryas" and "Healer" to Link Summon "Sunavalon Dryades" (0/↙↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. Spectre Normal Summons "Sunseed Genius Loci" (0/600) and uses it to Link Summon "Sunvine Thrasher" (800/↓) to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Dryades" points to. As "Thrasher" was Special Summoned, Spectre activates its effect, increasing its ATK by 800 times the Link Rating of a "Sunavalon" Link Monster that points to it, in this case two ("Thrasher": 800 → 2400 ATK).
"Thrasher" attacks "Holly Angel". At the start of the Damage Step, as "Thrasher" is battling Blue Angel's monster, Spectre activates its effect. If Blue Angel's monster is destroyed by that battle and sent to the GY, it is Special Summoned to a zone a "Sunavalon" Link Monster points to. The attack continues and both "Thrasher" and "Holly Angel" are destroyed, then Spectre Special Summons "Holly Angel" (2000/↙↘) to the zone the bottom-right Link Arrow of "Dryades" points to. "Holly Angel" attacks and destroys "Lycoris" (Blue Angel: 4000 → 3600 LP).
