Playmaker and his allies are investigating what Lightning has been up to, and they manage to find some traces of Earth, who was captured by SOL Technologies. As they head to where Earth's traces are, they find The Gore waiting for them! Burning with a twisted desire for victory, The Gore attacks Playmaker and Link Summons a shocking monster...

At SOL Technologies, two employees type rapidly as they monitor The Gore's condition from within his VR pod. Now as thin as Playmaker and Soulburner and breathing heavily, Gore perceives multiple cards flying past him in his other world and he opens his eyes, claiming that he can see the formula for victory in any Duel. He reaches out and clenches his fist, crushing the cards in his field of view, but flinches back when he perceives Playmaker standing before him ready to Duel. Gore whispers Playmaker's name, and the SOL Tech employees note that the synchronicity between his brain and the A.I. is still rising. A smiling Queen monitors their progress from her office.
At the cemetery, Emma stands over the flowers that Kengo laid at their father's grave, remembering him leaving the cemetery and thinking "Brother..." It begins to rain, while nearby in Café Nom Ai admits his surprise at learning that Ghost Gal and The Shepherd were siblings. He admits that it's sad after learning that The Shepherd had fought Lightning to protect his sibling, and he wonders if they'll be able to see one another again until Flame clears his throat to get Ai's attention. Ai remembers that Kolter is right next to him and he apologizes. Kolter tells Ai not to worry about him, but Ai still sheepishly apologizes again. Yusaku notes that The Shepherd's strategy against Lightning should have worked, and Theodore notes that Lightning anticipated The Shepherd's moves. Flame explains that A.I. naturally anticipate numerous patterns, and Ai adds that even though Lightning is annoying, he's no ordinary A.I. Kolter suddenly tells them to look, and he brings up a program. Theodore and Yusaku recognize it as an Ignis algorithm, and Kolter quickly determines the Attribute - EARTH.
Flame asks if it is Earth, and Ai is shocked to learn that Earth is in LINK VRAINS. Kolter admits that he might be, and Ai protests that SOL Technologies took Earth. Flame suggests that Earth might have escaped, and Ai dances happily in celebration, though Flame points out that they aren't sure yet. Ai stops dancing and he sweatdrops, telling Flame to just be happy. Theodore asks how this is possible, and Ai asks then why they're thinking so negatively. Flame tells Ai that he's too carefree, and Ai asks him if he isn't happy. Flame replies that he's happy if Earth is actually safe, but... Ai realizes that if Earth escaped, SOL Technologies will be trying to recapture him. Flame adds that it won't just be SOL Technologies, but Lightning as well. Theodore grins and he looks at Yusaku and asks him if he wants to go. Yusaku agrees, and they both declare "It's time to link into the VRAINS!" as they insert their Decks into their Duel Disks and log in.
As Ghost Gal returns from the cemetery on her motorcycle, Skye calls her and informs her that Playmaker and Soulburner just appeared in LINK VRAINS. Emma wonders if they found a lead on Lightning as she drives across one of the Trigate Bridges. At Emma's hideout, Skye puts her phone away and she tells Aqua that she's going to LINK VRAINS. "Something..." Aqua whispers. Skye asks what Aqua means, and Aqua replies that she isn't sure and whispers "Something" again. Skye repeats the word, and Aqua states that something sad may happen. At SOL Technologies, Zaizen tells Queen that Playmaker's team has appeared in LINK VRAINS, and Queen notes that they have. Zaizen asks Queen if she is planning to send The Gore, and Queen points out that Gore is the only one who can fight Playmaker now that The Shepherd is gone. Zaizen protests that it's too dangerous; if Queen keeps sending The Gore as is, his brain, no, not just his brain, his body will be hurt physically as well. Queen states that she needs data, and The Gore is the only one who can collect that data for her. Zaizen gasps in shock, and Queen declares that she will use the Ignis's data and The Gore's test subject data to grow her company. Zaizen protests that The Gore has already captured the Earth Ignis and that alone has greatly contributed to their company. Queen turns to him with a smile, claiming that this is why she gave it to him. Zaizen asks what she means by gave, but Queen tells him not to ask anymore questions and adds that it's too late. She brings up a holographic screen showing Gore in his VR pod, telling Zaizen that he's already left for LINK VRAINS as Zaizen watches in wide-eyed horror and scowls. Meanwhile, Playmaker and Soulburner fly across the skies of LINK VRAINS as Kolter informs them that the signal is coming from that area. Soulburner observes that Earth is on one of the floating islands, and Playmaker asks if Kolter can pinpoint the location. Then they notice something coming, and Ai states that Playmaker means Earth, right? He calls out to Earth, cheering that he knew that Earth was okay, and he spreads his arms and bids Earth to jump into them.
And then a thin figure on a Duel Board rockets towards them, and Ai barely has time to tell it not to jump into his arms. Playmaker and Soulburner recoil as the figure dives in between them and swings around to face them. Ai recognizes the figure - it's The Gore, who comments that he's found Playmaker. Playmaker whispers The Gore's name in shock, while Skye, Emma, and Aqua watch from Emma's hideout, as do Ryoken and Specter from Ryoken's speedboat. Ryoken observes that trouble has arrived, while Queen tells Gore to show her his strength. Gore declares that he'll end things with Playmaker today. Soulburner gasps in shock that Gore's face and aura are totally different from before as he observes Gore's frail frame. Soulburner asks if that is really The Gore, and Flame declares that Gore has been assimilated by implanting an A.I. chip in his brain. Ai clenches his fist, muttering that Gore took Earth, and Soulburner declares that SOL Technologies must also be pursuing Earth and have sent The Gore. Gore tells Soulburner that he'll take him on after he's taken care of Playmaker and he bids Soulburner to wait patiently. Flame lightly comments that Gore already believes that Ai will lose, and Ai scoffs that it's a joke; Gore's the one who's going to lose. He tells Gore to give Earth back, but Gore ignores him and suggests to Playmaker that they go.
Playmaker begs The Gore to wait, protesting that he doesn't want to fight him. Ai asks in shock what Playmaker is talking about, and Gore asks if Playmaker wants to run away now. Playmaker protests that this isn't the time for humans to fight one another, as a huge threat is coming. Gore doesn't react, and Ai protests that he isn't the same Gore as before. Playmaker begs Gore to fight alongside him as they did against the Tower of Hanoi; he needs Gore's help. Gore declares that Playmaker defeated the opponent who defeated him, and Ai wonders what Gore is suddenly talking about. Playmaker explains that Gore means Varis, and Ai asks if Gore is still obsessed with that and notes that he can't let it go. Playmaker states that he was able to defeat Varis because Gore uncovered what card Varis had; he couldn't have won on his own. Ai proudly begins to claim that Playmaker had him, but Playmaker angrily tells him to be quiet, and Ai quickly shuts up. Gore reflects that his gears began to malfunction after he lost to Playmaker, and the more he tried to stop them from malfunctioning, the more he deteriorated and fell, and he realized that he had to defeat Playmaker to climb out of that pit. Ai tells Gore to stop behaving like a child, and Gore also tells him to be quiet. Ai flinches back and he quickly shuts up again, muttering that even The Gore told him to be quiet. Playmaker asks if Gore really isn't the same as before; is The Gore - the proud fighter and Duelist - really gone? Gore reflects that he used to be a proud Duelist, and he can be again when he defeats Playmaker. He'll crush Playmaker and climb to great heights again. Flame grimly notes that Gore isn't listening no matter what they say, and Soulburner sadly whispers The Gore's name. Playmaker admits to The Gore that it seems he has no choice but to fight, and Gore agrees, stating that this will be Playmaker's final Duel. He accelerates past Playmaker, who turns in pursuit and they both declare "Speed Duel!"
Gore declares that he's going max from the start, and he chants "Expanding thought capabilities! Brain Hack Overlimit!" He lets out a wild cry as he sees himself in his other world, and his eyes glow orange as he declares his turn and Sets a monster, then ends his turn. Ai recalls that Gore made the same opening move against Earth, and Playmaker notes that Gore's Duel will begin when he attacks Gore's Set monster. Down below, several Duelists recognize Playmaker and The Gore, and they are shocked by the latter's appearance. Soulburner lands on a building, and then Aqua's voice calls Flame's name. Blue Maiden leaps off her Duel Board and onto another rooftop above Soulburner, commenting that it looks like it's started. Soulburner agrees, and he turns back to the Duel, admitting that he can't believe this is The Gore. He used to admire Gore as a hero who saved LINK VRAINS with Playmaker. Ryoken notes that tenacity can help people rise to new heights, but that it can also go wrong as it did with his father. Ai emerges from Playmaker's Duel Disk, noting that Gore's "Anti Skill" is a problem, as he can use it to stop their own Skill, and Playmaker agrees.
He declares his turn and draws, Setting the card that he drew and then Special Summoning "Linkslayer", explaining that he can Special Summon it from his hand since he controls no monsters. Next he Summons "Storm Cipher" and then since he Normal Summoned a Cyberse monster he Special Summons "Boot Staggered" from his hand. Blue Maiden observes that Playmaker has three monsters with at least 2000 ATK and is planning to end this instantly. Ryoken observes that Playmaker doesn't want to give Gore time to think. Playmaker declares battle, and "Storm Cipher" attacks the Set monster, generating a twister in its hands. Gore declares that his Set monster is "Dinowrestler Valeonyx", which emerges from the card image. "Storm Cipher" then releases its twister, which engulfs "Valeonyx". Gore then sends "Dinowrestler Martial Anga" from his hand to the Graveyard to activate its effect, preventing "Valeonyx" from being destroyed by battle with a monster that has equal or higher ATK. "Valeonyx" emerges unscathed from the twister, and Gore adds that the effect also ends the Battle Phase. Ai is shocked that the effect doesn't just protect Gore's monster, and Soulburner notes that it also ends the battle. Flame comments that Playmaker's strategy had been to defeat Gore quickly, but Gore was able to avoid it.
Playmaker ends his turn in frustration, and Gore asks him why he is trying to end the Duel so quickly; is he scared of him? Ai indignantly snaps that he isn't scared of Gore, and then Gore turns his gaze on Ai and he yelps that he's scared of Gore. Gore declares that Playmaker is scared of him, of his thinking ability and his "Anti Skill". Ai quietly calls Gore's personality twisted. Gore then activates the effect of "Dinowrestler Martial Anga" activates from his Graveyard at the end of the turn as it used its effect and Playmaker controls more monsters than him, Special Summoning itself. He scornfully decries Playmaker's Dueling as boring and within expectations, and reminds him that his Dueling previously defeated him and disrupted everything. He tells Playmaker to entertain him more, for only he can push Gore to great heights. He declares that he must defeat Playmaker. Ai admits to Playmaker that he thinks Gore is more dangerous than before.
Gore declares his turn and draws, and he immediately chants "Appear! The circuit to victory!" He explains that the Summoning conditions are two "Dinowrestlers" and sets "Martial Anga" and "Valeonyx" to Link Summon the Link-2 "Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio". Ai comments that it doesn't stand a chance against their monsters with only 1000 ATK, but Gore tells him not to get impatient, much to Ai's surprise. He activates the Spell Card "Crazy Evolution", Special Summoning a "Dinowrestler" monster from his hand in Defense Position whose Level is the same as a monster Playmaker controls. "Storm Cipher" is Level 4, so he Special Summons the Level 4 "Dinowrestler Systegosaur". The effect of "Systegosaur" then activates as it was Special Summoned, allowing Gore to add "World Dino Wrestling" from his Deck to his hand. The effect of "Crazy Evolution" then changes the Type of all monsters Gore controls to the Type of the monster he originally targeted - so both "Terra Parkourio" and "Systegosaur" become Cyberse monsters. Ai wonders why Gore made his cards Cyberse-Type.
Aqua suddenly senses something, and she sinks to her knees on Blue Maiden's Duel Disk. Blue Maiden asks her what's wrong, and Aqua feels a familiar sensation and she asks if it can be... Blue Maiden looks up in shock at Gore and Playmaker as Gore announces the main event, and he chants "Appear! The circuit to victory!" This time the Summoning conditions are two Cyberse monsters, and Playmaker, Blue Maiden, Aqua, Soulburner, and Flame all gasp in shock as Gore sets "Systegosaur" and "Terra Parkourio", Link Summoning a Link-2 and releasing a ball of light from his hand that swells into the monster. Aqua recognizes it in shock as the corrupted monster appears with 0 ATK and cloaked in an angry red aura, and Flame recognizes the monster too, while Ai screams "What?!" in shock - Gore has Link Summoned "G Golem Crystal Heart". Ai can only ask why as Gore smiles, and Aqua realizes in horror what has happened. Zaizen can't believe that The Gore has Earth's card either, and then he too realizes why. Ai snaps that "Crystal Heart" is Earth's card and he asks why Gore has it. But Gore doesn't respond, and Ai orders him to answer him; how did he get it? Gore claims that it isn't important how he acquired it, but how he'll use it. Ai curses Gore, and Playmaker grimly notes that there's something different about that "Crystal Heart" than the one Earth used. Ai pays closer attention, noting the dark red crystal and angry aura, and he agrees that it is different; it's like it's turned into Gore. Playmaker agrees; he senses that it's the same as The Gore. Ai gasps in shock, and he asks Gore if he really did it.
Gore leans forward and he confirms that he did. His left eye swells into a ball that resembles Earth, much to Blue Maiden, Soulburner, and Playmaker's collective horror. Gore closes his eye and the ball is replaced by the orange glow of Brain Hack, and Aqua whispers Earth's name. Ryoken declares that SOL Tech put the Earth Ignis's data into The Gore; that is something that they would do. Meanwhile Specter wordlessly looks at the corrupted "Crystal Heart", trembling in silence. At SOL Technologies, Zaizen asks his staff if the Ignis data is in the A.I. chip, and his staff confirm it. Zaizen furiously snaps that just putting an A.I. chip in a human's brain is risky enough, but on top of that they added Ignis data to it. He angrily asks them why, and Queen's voice comes over the intercom, explaining that she ordered so. She reminds him that she needs data, and she utilizes all data efficiently. Zaizen angrily asks if she's willing to do anything, and Queen confirms that she is. Zaizen grits his teeth in fury, and Queen declares that business is about efficiency and production; that's the basis of basics.
Back in LINK VRAINS, Aqua confirms that Earth's data is in Gore, and Flame realizes what SOL did to Earth. Ai curses in frustration, and then he realizes what the signal that they followed was. Playmaker declares that it was a trap to lure them, and Gore agrees that it was. Ai screams at Gore to stop messing around, and Gore declares that the Ignis is under his control. Ai repeats his words, and Gore explains that they say the Ignis are a threat to humanity, and then he smiles fiendishly and claims that they aren't if they're under his control. Gore declares that he's surpassed Playmaker, and Ai angrily suggests to Playmaker that they crush Gore. Gore tells the Dark Ignis to keep talking, as he will be the next to fall under Gore's control. Ai refuses, but Gore continues his turn, activating the effect of "Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio" since it was used as Link Material, Special Summoning another "Dinowrestler" from his Graveyard with its effects negated. He revives "Martial Anga", and then activates the effect of "Crystal Heart", Special Summoning an EARTH Link Monster from his Graveyard so that it is co-linked with "Crystal Heart". He revives "Terra Parkourio", and as this effect was used, he places a G Golem Counter on "Crystal Heart", granting the EARTH monster that it points to 600 ATK. "Terra Parkourio" powers up to 1600 ATK, and Flame grimly notes that Gore is using "Crystal Heart" masterfully. Gore then activates the Field Spell Card "World Dino Wrestling", and since he has, the effect of "Terra Parkourio" activates and allows him to add a "Dinowrestler" monster from his Graveyard to his hand. He takes back "Valeonyx", and Playmaker declares that it's coming. Once again, Gore chants "Appear! The circuit to victory!" The Summoning conditions are at least two "Dinowrestlers", so Gore sets "Martial Anga" and the Link-2 "Terra Parkourio" in the Link Arrows, Link Summoning the Link-3 "Dinowrestler King T Wrextle". Playmaker grimly beholds the monster, and Soulburner and Blue Maiden leap up to another island to get a better view. Gore smiles, and he declares that he'll enjoy this final Duel between them.

Turn 1: Gore
Gore Normal Sets a monster.
Turn 2: Playmaker
Playmaker draws and subsequently Sets a card. As Playmaker controls no monsters, he Special Summons "Linkslayer" (2000/600) from his hand by its own effect. Playmaker Normal Summons "Storm Cipher" (2400/0). As a Cyberse monster was Normal Summoned to Playmaker's field, he activates the effect of "Boot Staggered" in his hand, Special Summoning it (2300/500). "Storm Cipher" attacks Gore's face-down monster. Before damage calculation, the face-down "Dinowrestler Valeonyx" (1600/0) flips face-up. During damage calculation, as Gore's "Dinowrestler" monster is battling Playmaker's monster with an equal or higher ATK, Gore activates the effect of "Dinowrestler Martial Anga" in his hand, sending it to the GY to prevent that "Dinowrestler" monster he controls from being destroyed by that battle, then at the end of the Damage Step, Gore ends the Battle Phase. The attack continues and "Valeonyx" is not destroyed, and the Battle Phase is ended. During the End Phase, as "Martial Anga" is in the GY because it was sent there this turn to activate its effect, and Playmaker controls more monsters than Gore does, Gore activates its effect, Special Summoning it (1600/0).
Turn 3: Gore
Gore sets "Valeonyx" and "Martial Anga" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio" (1000/←↑) to the Extra Monster Zone. Gore activates the Spell "Mad Evolution", targeting a face-up monster Playmaker controls and Special Summoning a "Dinowrestler" monster with the same Level as that monster from his hand in Defense Position, then the Type of all face-up monsters Gore currently controls become the same as the targeted monster's, until the end of this turn. He targets the Level 4 "Storm Cipher", Special Summons the Level 4 "Dinowrestler Systegosaur" (1900/0), then changes the Type of "Terra Parkourio" and "Systegosaur" to Cyberse. As "Systegosaur" was Special Summoned, Gore activates its effect, adding a "Dinowrestler" monster or "World Dino Wrestling" from his Deck to his hand. He adds "World Dino Wrestling".
Gore sets "Systegosaur" and "Terra Parkourio" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "G Golem Crystal Heart" (0/←↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Terra Parkourio" was sent to the GY as Link Material, Gore activates its effect, targeting a "Dinowrestler" monster in his GY and Special Summoning it in Defense Position, but its effects are negated, also Gore cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Dinowrestler" monsters. He targets and Special Summons "Martial Anga" (1600/0). Gore activates the effect of "Crystal Heart", targeting an EARTH Link Monster in his GY and Special Summoning it to his field so it is co-linked to "Crystal Heart", then placing a G Golem Counter on "Crystal Heart". He targets and Special Summons "Terra Parkourio" (1000/←↑) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Crystal Heart" points to ("Crystal Heart": 0 → 1 G Golem Counter). The effect of "Crystal Heart" increases the ATK of all EARTH monsters it points to by 600 for each G Golem Counter on it ("Terra Parkourio": 1000 → 1600 ATK). Gore activates the Field Spell "World Dino Wrestling".
