"Radiance of the Phoenix" is the ninety-fifth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on March 27, 2019.
Bohman boasts that he has obtained a power that transcends human intellect itself and allows him to manipulate luck. Empowered by their bonds, Soulburner and Flame drive Bohman into a corner with their "Salamangreat" monsters. However, something abnormal suddenly happens to Flame.

Soulburner has 4000 LP and controls "Salamangreat Heatleo" (2300/↙↑↘) in the Extra Monster Zone, as well as "Salamangreat Shrine" in his Field Zone. Bohman has 1700 LP and controls "Paradox Hydradrive Atlas" (0/↑←↓) in the Extra Monster Zone.
Turn 3: Bohman
Since it was Special Summoned, Bohman activates the effect of "Paradox Hydradrive Atlas", rolling a six-sided die and changing its Attribute to the one that corresponds with the die roll (● 1: EARTH ● 2: WATER ● 3: FIRE ● 4: WIND ● 5: LIGHT ● 6: DARK). He rolls a 2 ("Atlas" Attribute: EARTH → WATER). Bohman activates another effect of "Atlas": once per turn, he can roll a six-sided die, then Special Summon a "Hydradrive" Link Monster whose Link Rating is equal to the number rolled. Bohman rolls a 4, therefore he Special Summons the Link-4 "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" (3000/↑←↓→) to the Monster Zone the Bottom-Center Link Arrow of "Atlas" points to. Since it was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, the effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" activates, placing 4 Hydradrive Counters on itself (Hydradrive Counters: 0 → 4). Due to the effect of "Atlas", the Attributes of all monsters it points to become the same as it ("Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" Attribute:EARTH → WATER). Bohman activates the effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", removing 1 Hydradrive Counter from it (Hydradrive Counters:4 → 3) to roll a six-sided die, and if his opponent controls a face-up monster(s) in their Monster Zone with an Attribute that corresponds to the result (● 1: EARTH ● 2: WATER ● 3: FIRE ● 4: WIND ● 5: LIGHT ● 6: DARK), then as many of those monsters as possible are sent to the GY, then the opponent takes damage equal to the number of monsters sent to the GY by this effect x500. He rolls a 3, therefore all FIRE monsters Soulburner controls are sent to the GY and he takes 500 damage for each. "Salamangreat Heatleo" is sent to the GY (Soulburner LP: 4000 → 3500). "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" attacks Soulburner directly (Soulburner LP: 3500 → 500). Bohman Sets 2 cards.
Turn 4: Soulburner
Soulburner activates the effect of "Salamangreat Shrine", revealing "Salamangreat Sanctuary in his hand to his opponent, then shuffles his entire hand into the Deck, then draw cards equal to the number shuffled. He shuffles six cards and draws six. Soulburner activates the Continuous Spell "Will of the Salamangreat". He activates the effect of "Will", letting him Special Summon a "Salamangreat" monster from his hand or GY once per turn. Soulburner Special Summons "Heatleo" (2300/↙↑↘) from his GY. At this moment, Bohman activates the effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", removing 1 Hydradrive Counter from it (Hydradrive Counters: 3 → 2) and rolls a six-sided die, sending as many monsters his opponent controls as possible with an Attribute corresponding to the roll. He rolls a 2, which corresponds to WATER, therefore none are sent to the GY. When Soulburner Link Summons a "Salamangreat" Link Monster, the effect of "Shrine" allows him to use a "Salamangreat" Link Monster he controls with the same name as the entire Link Material instead. Soulburner sets "Heatleo" in the Link Arrows to Reincarnation Link Summon another "Heatleo". Since "Heatleo" was Link Summoned, Soulburner activates it effect, targeting a Spell/Trap that his opponent controls and shuffle it into the Deck. He targets the Set card to his right. Since his opponent activated a card or effect that targeted another card in his Spell & Trap Zone that could have targeted it and no other cards, Bohman activates the Trap "Card of Pandora", forcing the card/effect to target that card instead, and then its controller draw 2 cards. The target is changed to "Card of Pandora", then Bohman draws 2 cards. Since it was Reincarnation Link Summoned, Soulburner activates the effect of "Heatleo", targeting a face-up monster on the field and a monster in his GY, and change the ATK of the first target to that of the second target. He targets "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" on the field and "Salamangreat Mole" in his GY ("Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" ATK: 3000 → 0). "Heatleo" attacks "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch". Bohman activates the Continuous Trap "Dice Logic" and activates its effect: once per opponent's attack, Bohman can target the attacking monster and roll a six-sided die, then apply the corresponding effect depending on the roll (● 1, 3, or 5: Change the ATK of the targeted monster and monsters with that same name to 0 until the end of this turn. ● 2, 4, or 6: The ATK of the targeted monster and monsters with that same name becomes double their current ATK until the end of this turn.). In addition, since Bohman activated the effect of another card that involved rolling a die this turn, if the result of a roll for this card's effect is a 5 or less, he can add 1 to that result. Bohman rolls a 2, which he changes to a 3 using the effect of "Dice Logic" ("Heatleo" ATK: 2300 → 0). Neither "Heatleo" nor "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" are destroyed due to both monsters being in Attack Position and having 0 ATK. Soulburner activates the Quick-Play Spell "Salamangreat Burning Shell", Special Summoning a "Salamangreat" monster from his hand with its effects negated (if any), then, immediately after this effect resolves, Soulburner Link Summons a "Salamangreat" Link Monster using monsters he controls, including that summoned monster, however for the rest of this turn, that Link Summoned monster cannot nor activate its effects. Soulburner Special Summons "Salamangreat Parro" from his hand, then immediately sets it and the Link-3 "Heatleo" (2 or more FIRE Effect Monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix" (2800/↑←↓ → ).
Soulburner activates the Quick-Play Spell "Salamangreat Transcendence", targeting a "Salamangreat" Link Monster he controls, and Special Summoning a "Salamangreat" Link Monster with the same name as that monster from his Extra Deck (with that Special Summon being treated as a Link Summon). Soulburner targets "Pyro Phoenix" and uses it to Super Reincarnation Link Summon another "Pyro Phoenix". Since it was Reincarnation Link Summoned, Soulburner activates the effect of "Pyro Phoenix", destroying all cards his opponent controls. Bohman's "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" and "Dice Logic" are destroyed, however "Atlas" is not due its own effect: as long as there is another monster on the field with the same Attribute as it, it cannot be targeted for an attack and it is unaffected by the opponent's card effect. Since "Dice Logic" was destroyed by an opponent's card effect while it was face-up, Bohman activates its effect, Special Summoning a "Hydradrive" Link Monster from his Extra Deck. He Special Summons another "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" to the Monster Zone the Bottom-Center Link Arrow of "Atlas" points to. Since "Atlas" is pointing to "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", its Attribute is changed to match the Attribute of "Atlas" ("Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" Attribute: EARTH → WATER). Since a Link Monster(s) was Special Summoned to his opponent's field, Soulburner activates the effect of "Pyro Phoenix", targeting one of those monsters and inflicting damage to his opponent, equal to the targeted monster's original ATK. Since his opponent activated a monster effect that targeted a Link Monster(s) he controls, Bohman activates the Continuous Trap "Judgment Roll" from his hand and activates its effect, Tributing one of the targets of that effect and forcing his opponent to roll a six-sided die, then applying the following effect depending on the result (● 1: EARTH ● 2: WATER ● 3: FIRE ● 4: WIND ● 5: LIGHT ● 6: DARK). Until the end of this turn, the ATK of all monsters on the field with the same Attribute as the corresponding roll are doubled, whereas the ATK of all other monsters on the field become 0 and their controllers take damage equal to the total original ATK of those monsters. Bohman Tributes "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" and Soulburner rolls a 3, therefore the ATK of all FIRE monsters on the field are doubled ("Pyro Phoenix" ATK: 2800 → 5600), and the ATK of all other monsters becomes 0.
"Pyro Phoenix" attacks "Atlas". Since an opponent's monster declared an attack while he controls a Link Monster in the Extra Monster Zone, Bohman activates the Trap "Hydradrive Gravity" from his hand, targeting that monster and moving it to an opponent's Main Monster Zone that a Link Monster he controls points to (since that target's current ATK is higher than its original ATK, Bohman can activate this Trap from his hand). He moves "Pyro Phoenix" to the Main Monster Zone the Top-Center Link Arrow of "Atlas" points to. Due to the effect of "Atlas", all monsters it points to have their Attributes changed to its own Attribute ("Pyro Phoenix" Attribute: FIRE → WATER). Due to the effect of "Judgment Roll", the ATK of all non-FIRE monsters on the field becomes 0, and their controllers take damage equal to the original ATK of those monsters ("Pyro Phoenix" ATK: 5600 → 0, Soulburner LP:500 → 0).
