"Slay the Demon" is the one hundred and seventh episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on June 19, 2019.

Roboppi uses tricky tactics to drive Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal into a corner. Ghost Gal is able to Summon her new trump card with Blood Shepherd'’s help, and proceeds to launch a counterattack. Meanwhile, The Gore has managed to find the real Ai, and begins a Duel against him.

Turn 3: Ghost Gal
Ghost Gal activates the effect of "Battledrone General", targeting a "Drone" monster in her GY and Special Summoning it to her zone General points to. She targets and Special Summons "Scud Drone" (800/1100) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "General" points to. As "Scud" was Special Summoned from the GY by the effect of a "Drone" monster, Ghost Gal activates its effect, drawing a card, also "Scud" is banished when it leaves the field. Ghost Gal Sets a card. Ghost Gal activates the effect of "General", targeting a Level 4 or lower "Drone" monster he controls with 1000 or less ATK and allowing it to attack directly this turn. He targets the Level 3 "Scud". "Scud" attacks Roboppi directly (Roboppi: 4000 → 3200 LP). As a "Drone" monster inflicted battle damage to Roboppi by a direct attack, Ghost Gal activates the effect of "General", Tributing that monster to inflict damage to Roboppi equal to its ATK (Playmaker: 3200 → 2400 LP). "Altergeist Hexstia" attacks "Appliancer Vacculephant". During damage calculation, as Roboppi's Link Monster co-linked to "Appliancer Celtopus" is battling an opponent's monster while all monsters Roboppi controls are "Appliancer" monsters, the effect of "Celtopus" activates, increasing the ATK of Roboppi's battling monster by 1000 for each monster co-linked to "Celtopus" during that damage calculation only. As Roboppi's monster is attacked by Ghost Gal's monster while "Propelion" is co-linked, Roboppi activates its effect, halving Ghost Gal's monster's ATK during that damage calculation only ("Hexstia": 4300 → 2150 ATK). The attack continues and "Hexstia" is destroyed (Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal: 2600 → 1750 LP). As "Hexstia" was sent from the field to the GY, Ghost Gal activates its effect, adding an "Altergeist" card from her Deck to her hand. She adds "Altergeist Kunquery".

Ghost Gal activates the effect of "Altergeist Memorygant", Tributing one other monster to increase the ATK of "Memorygant" equal to the ATK the Tributed monster had on the field, until the end of this turn. She Tributes "General" ("Memorygant": 2800 → 5200 ATK). "Memorygant" attacks "Vacculephant". During damage calculation, the effect of "Celtopus" activates, increasing the ATK of "Vacculephant" gains 2000 ATK during that damage calculation only ("Vacculephant": 1000 → 3000 ATK). The attack continues and "Vacculephant" is destroyed (Roboppi: 2400 → 200 LP). As "Memorygant" destroyed Roboppi's monster by battle, Ghost Gal activates its effect, destroying a monster Roboppi controls, also allowing "Memorygant" to make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. She destroys "Propelion". "Memorygant" attacks "Celtopus". During damage calculation, as Roboppi's "Appliancer" monster is battling Ghost Gal's monster, they activate the effect of "Appliancer Breakerbuncle" in their hand, sending it from their hand to the GY to prevent their battling monster from being destroyed by that battle, also they take no battle damage from that battle. The attack continues and "Celtopus" is not destroyed.

Turn 4: Roboppi
Roboppi activates the Spell "Appliancer Test", targeting an "Appliancer" Link Monster they control in the Extra Monster Zone and Special Summoning as many Link-1 "Appliancer" Link Monsters from their GY as possible to their field so they are co-linked to the targeted monster, but their ATK is changed to 0, also they are banished during the End Phase of this turn. Roboppi targets "Celtopus" (↙↓) and Special Summons "Vacculephant" (1000/↗) to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to and "Propelion" (1200/↑) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to. Roboppi sets "Propelion" in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Appliancer Laundry Dragon" (1500/↑) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to. As "Vacculephant" is co-linked, Roboppi activates its effect, targeting a monster in Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal's Main Monster Zone and destroying it. Roboppi targets "Memorygant". As "Memorygant" would be destroyed by battle or card effect, its effect allows Ghost Gal to banish a Link Monster from her GY once per turn instead. The effect of "Laundry Dragon" resolves and Ghost Gal banishes "General" from her GY. "Laundry Dragon" attacks "Memorygant". As Roboppi's monster declared an attack while Ghost Gal controls an "Altergeist" card, she activates the effect of "Kunquery" in her hand, Special Summoning it, then negating that attack. As "Kunquery" was Special Summoned, Ghost Gal activates its effect, targeting a face-up card Roboppi controls and negating the effects of that card while it and "Kunquery" are face-up on the field. She targets and negates the effects of "Laundry Dragon".

Roboppi activates the Quick-Play Spell "Appliancer Conversion", banishing as many Link-1 "Appliancer" Link Monsters in their Main Monster Zones as possible, then Special Summoning any number of their banished Link-1 "Appliancer" Link Monsters, up to the number of cards banished by this effect. They banish "Laundry Dragon" and "Vacculephant", then Special Summon "Vacculephant" (1000/↗) to the left-most Main Monster Zone, and "Laundry Dragon" (1500/↑) to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to. The effect of "Vacculephant" allows it to attack directly while it is not co-linked. "Vacculephant" attacks Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal directly (Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal: 1750 → 750 LP). "Laundry Dragon" attacks "Memorygant". Ghost Gal activates her Skill "Secret Cure", excavating cards from the top of her Deck until she excavates a Monster Card. That monster is added to her hand, and both players gain LP equal to that monster's ATK. Any other excavated cards are sent to the GY. She excavates "Altergeist Marionetter" (1600/1700) and adds it to her hand (Roboppi: 200 → 1800 LP, Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal: 750 → 2350 LP). During damage calculation, as "Laundry Dragon" that is not co-linked is battling Ghost Gal's monster, Roboppi activates its effect, preventing either player from taking any battle damage from that battle, also Ghost Gal's monster is destroyed after damage calculation, then Roboppi inflicts damage to Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK. The attacks continues and neither monster is destroyed. After damage calculation, "Memorygant" is destroyed (Blood Shepherd and Ghost Gal: 2350 → 0 LP).

The Gore vs. Ai

Turn 1: Gore
Gore Normal Summons "Gouki Suprex" (1800/0). As "Suprex" was Normal Summoned, Gore activates its effect, Special Summoning a "Gouki" monster from his hand. He Special Summons "Gouki Riscorpio" (2300/0). Gore sets "Suprex" and "Riscorpio" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Gouki Jet Ogre" (2000/←↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Suprex" and "Riscorpio" were sent from the field to the GY, Gore activates their effects, adding a different "Gouki" card from his Deck to his hand. He adds two unknown cards. Gore activates the Spell "Gouki Re-Match", targeting two "Gouki" monsters with different Levels in his GY and Special Summoning them in Defense Position. He targets and Special Summons the Level 4 "Suprex" (1800/0) and the Level 5 "Riscorpio" (2300/0). Gore sets "Suprex" and the Link-2 "Jet Ogre" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Gouki Thunder Ogre" (2200/↙↑↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. The effect of "Thunder Ogre" allows the turn player to Normal Summon a monster from their hand to their zone "Thunder Ogre" points to, in addition to their Normal Summon/Set. Gore Normal Summons "Suprex" (1800/0) to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Thunder Ogre" points to. As "Suprex" was Normal Summoned, Gore activates its effect, Special Summoning a "Gouki" monster from his hand. He Special Summons "Gouki Twistcobra" (1600/0). Gore sets "Twistcobra" and the Link-3 "Thunder Ogre" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Gouki The Master Ogre" (2800/↑↙↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. Turn 2: Ai
Ai Normal Summons "Pikari @Ignister" (1200/600). As "Pikari" was Normal or Special Summoned, Ai activates its effect, adding "Ignister AiLand" from his Deck to his hand, but Gore activates the effect of "Master Ogre", returning to the hand any number of "Gouki" monsters he controls that "Master Ogre" points to, then targeting the same number of face-up cards Ai controls to negate their effects until the end of this turn. He returns "Suprex", then targets and negates the effects of "Pikari". Ai sets "Pikari" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Linguriboh" (300/↙). As Ai controls a Link Monster in the Extra Monster Zone, he activates the effect of "Hiyari @Ignister" (300/400) in his hand, Special Summoning it to his zone his Link Monster points to. He Special Summons it to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Linguriboh" points to. As Ai controls an "@Ignister" monster in his Main Monster Zone, he activates the effect of "Doshin @Ignister" (100/800) in his hand, Special Summoning it. Ai sets "Doshin", "Hiyari", and "Linguriboh" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Dark Templar @Ignister" (2300/↙↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. Ai Sets a card.

"Dark Templar" attacks "Master Ogre". During the Damage Step, as Gore's "Gouki" monster is battling Ai's monster, Gore activates the effect of "Gouki Iron Claw" in his hand, sending it to the GY, and until the end of this turn, his battling monster gains 500 ATK, also it is unaffected by Ai's card effects ("Master Ogre": 2800 → 3300 LP). During damage calculation, as Ai's "@Ignister" monster is battling Gore's monster, Ai activates the Quick-Play Spell "TAi Strike", making his battling monster's ATK become equal to the ATK of Gore's monster it is battling during that damage calculation only, also the controller of a monster destroyed by that battle takes damage equal to their destroyed monster's original ATK ("Dark Templar": 2300 → 3300 ATK). The effect of "Dark Templar" prevents it from being destroyed by battle with a monster that has the same ATK. The attack continues and "Master Ogre" is destroyed, then Gore takes damage equal to the original ATK of "Master Ogre" (Gore: 4000 → 1200 LP). As "Dark Templar" destroyed Gore's monster by battle, Ai activates its effect, targeting an "@Ignister" monster in his GY and Special Summoning it to his zone "Dark Templar" points to. He targets and Special Summons "Pikari" to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Dark Templar" points to. As a monster was Special Summoned to Ai's zone his Link Monster points to, Ai activates the effect of "Dark Templar", targeting a Link Monster he controls and Special Summoning as many Level 4 or lower "@Ignister" monsters with different names from his GY as possible to his zones the targeted monster points to, but their effects are negated. As "Pikari" was Normal or Special Summoned, Ai activates its effect, adding "Ignister AiLand" from his Deck to his hand.
