<!--Ai shows he can controls the plane.-->
 +
Zaizen whispers Ai's name and Blue Maiden asks how he got here. Ai lightly comments that he wishes they wouldn't underestimate him  and Zaizen notes that Ai must have infiltrated the SOL Technologies plane at 12,000 meters above sea level if he's here (in the dub he specifies the plane was 39,000 feet in the air and flying 500 miles an hour) and asks if the crew are okay. Ai chuckles that they're making him out to be a bad guy and snaps his fingers to show them the unconscious Hayami. Zaizen gasps her name and Ai reassures Zaizen she's all right, she's just taking a nap (in the dub, Ai likens his arrival to strolling by and claims he's surprised he didn't pass out like Hayami did, teasingly claiming she wasn't very welcoming). He tells Zaizen to hand over the SOL Technologies code key and Zaizen angrily asks what Ai wants with his company. Ai claims he wants to use it as he controls the plane, and he tilts his finger as he projects footage of the plane and shows that it is listing in the air. He comments that he could crash the plane if he wanted to and Blue Maiden sharply asks if he's threatening them (in the dub, Zaizen does not ask Ai what he wants with SOL Tech and Ai likens himself to a rude houseguest who takes over the house, though he does not claim he could crash the plane, he merely heavily implies he could if they don't behave). Ai mockingly tells her not to take it so seriously, as he doesn't expect them to give it to him for free so he'll give them a chance and they'll Duel for it. Pandor's voice comments that she may prove useful, so Blue Maiden holds up her Duel Disk and Pandor emerges from the top. Ai is shocked Pandor is still around and whines that she keeps coming back even though they just had their emotional goodbyes. Pandor confirms she is the last copy and will be using their previous Duels as a reference, prompting Ai to sulk that they linked their data, though he claims he won't lose just because Pandor has seen a couple of his Duels. He offers the Zaizens a handicap as he activates his Duel Disk, telling them he'll take them on together (in the dub, Pandor claims that she is the last Pandor, but will soon be the first to defeat Ai, who snarks she isn't the first to get on his nerves. He decides to Duel the Zaizens together before the plane runs out of fuel). Zaizen notes that they have no other options and Blue Maiden agrees (in the dub he comments Ai doesn't lack any confidence, and Blue Maiden comments it's a big mistake). The Zaizens ready their Duel Disks and all three Duelists call "Duel!"

<!--Ai links Playmaker, Soulburner and Varis to their Duel.-->
 +
As the Duel has begun, Ai snaps his fingers and materializes holograms of Playmaker, Soulburner and Varis and Blue Maiden calls their names. Playmaker asks what Ai is doing and Ai cheerfully asks if Playmaker's doing well, explaining that he's linked them in given the Duel would be boring without a crowd and telling him to sit back and watch since he can't interfere (in the dub, Playmaker notes that Ai has found Zaizen and Ai replies that they made it difficult, but not difficult enough). He snaps his fingers again to show their feed to Kolter in Café Nom and asks if he's watching, Kolter gasping Ai's name in shock. Roboppi arrives as well, cheerfully proclaiming he'll watch Ai's Duel and learn, much to Ai's joy, and he tells Roboppi that's the spirit before asking everyone to enjoy their Duel (in the dub he adds that he'll let Blue Maiden go first since they're the home team).

<!--Blue Maiden's "Marincess" Deck works well, gaining her advantage.-->
 +
Vowing that she will protect her brother, Blue Maiden declares her turn, Summoning "Marincess Blue Tang", then sending a different "Marincess" card from her Deck to her Graveyard as she was Summoned, Pandor retreating out of the way as she sends "Marincess Sea Horse" to the Graveyard. Then Blue Maiden Link Summons, setting "Blue Tang" to bring out the Link-1 "Marincess Blue Slug". She activates the effect of "Blue Slug" adding a "Marincess" monster from her Graveyard to her hand ("Sea Horse") and then activates the effect of "Blue Tang" as she was sent to the Graveyard to Link Summon a WATER Link Monster, excavating the top three cards of her Deck and adding a "Marincess" card among them to her hand; "Marincess Basilalima". Special Summoning "Sea Horse" from her hand to the zone "Blue Slug" points to, Blue Maiden Link Summons again, setting "Blue Slug" and "Sea Horse" to bring out the Link-2 "Marincess Coral Anemone". Blue Maiden then activates the effect of "Coral Anemone", Special Summoning "Blue Slug" to a zone that she points to, and chants "Shine! The circuit of love and bonds!" She explains that the Summoning conditions are at least two WATER monsters, setting "Blue Slug" and "Coral Anemone" to Link Summon the Link-3 "Marincess Marbled Rock". Ai observes that this is Aqua's "Marincess" Deck (in the dub, he comments that it's very similar and Blue Maiden confirms it's the same Deck) as Blue Maiden activates the effect of "Marbled Rock", adding a different "Marincess" card from her Graveyard to her hand. Adding "Blue Tang" back to her hand, Blue Maiden Sets two cards and she ends her turn, a turn that Ai congratulates, given that she has a Link-3 monster, two Set cards and four cards in her hand. He notes that her "Marincess" Deck is working well, and Blue Maiden replies that it's her most important Deck. Ai admits that it's well said, and that Aqua would be proud Blue Maiden is using it so well (in the dub he adds her statement is well put; Aqua would be proud of Blue maiden if she were here, but she isn't because Blue Maiden failed to protect her).

<!--Ai revives his monsters, prompting Pandor to comment on how they represent the Ignis.-->
 +
He declares that now it's his turn, and he draws, then Summons "Pikari @Ignister". Pandor re-emerges from Blue Maiden's Duel Disk as Ai activates the effect of "Pikari", adding "Ignister A.I.Land" from his Deck to his hand. He sets "Pikari" to Link Summon the Link-1 "Linguriboh", before activating the Field Spell Card "Ignister A.I.Land" and immediately activating its effect, Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower "@Ignister" monster from his hand. As Pandor watches, Ai Special Summons "Achichi @Ignister" and the activates the effect of "Hiyari @Ignister" from his hand as he has a Link Monster in the Extra Monster Zone, Special Summoning "Hiyari" to the zone that monster points to. Pandor looks intently as Ai chants "Appear! The circuit that guides the dark!" and declares that the Summoning conditions are three Cyberse monsters, including a DARK monster, so he sets "Linguriboh", "Achichi" and "Hiyari", chanting "The creation of dark shadows! The wisdom of the dark night scatters throughout the world! Gather in my hand to become the power of rising vigor! Link Summon! Link-3 Dark Templar @Ignister!" Then he activates the effect of "Ignister A.I.Land" again, Special Summoning "Doyon @Ignister". Pandor comments that "Pikari @Ignister" represents Ai's feelings for Lightning as Varis watches, then adds that "Achichi" represents his feelings for Flame, much to Soulburner's shock, and "Hiyari" represents the feelings Ai has for Aqua, much to Blue Maiden's surprise. And "Doyon" is Ai himself. Playmaker whispers Ai's name sadly, and Kolter realizes what the cards for Ai and the Ignis who vanished mean; Playmaker confirming that Ai's Deck shows that he cares for his friends (in the dub, Playmaker realizes that Ai isn't Dueling for himself, but for his fallen family and Ai snarks that he's surprised they took so long to figure that out; the following exchange between the Zaizens is cut). Blue Maiden warns Zaizen that Ai is putting a lot into the Duel and tells him to be careful, and Zaizen agrees. Ai smiles, and he activates the effect of "Doyon" to add "Hiyari" from his Graveyard to his hand. Then the effect of "Dark Templar" activates as a monster was Special Summoned to a zone that a Link Monster points to, allowing Ai to Special Summon as many Level 4 or lower "@Ignister" monsters from his Graveyard as possible with their effects negated. He revives "Achichi" and "Pikari", then chants "Appear! The circuit that guides the dark!" again, declaring that the Summoning conditions are at least two Cyberse monsters, including a FIRE monster, setting "Achichi", "Doyon" and "Pikari" and chanting "With high spirits, the soul resurrects from the river of fire! Become red hot and burn! Link Summon! Appear, Link-3 Fire Phoenix @Ignister!" Pandor declares that "Fire Phoenix" has appeared, as expected. Ai grins, commenting that Pandor claims to understand his strategies, but how about this? He'll show them the strongest card that the Ignis have created (in the dub he claims he'll try something new, a strategy they've never seen him use).

<!--Ai activates "Judgement Arrows".-->
 +
Since a Link Arrow is pointing at a Spell & Trap Zone, Ai can activate a Link Spell Card there. Playmaker, Soulburner and Varis all gasp in shock, and Soulburner asks if Ai is really using a Link Spell, while Playmaker asks if it can be as Blue Maiden and Zaizen brace themselves. Ai chants "The three arrows that judge everything!" as he plays the card, causing a galaxy-style portal to erupt in the roof above him and disgorge black lightning, revealing the Link Spell - "Judgment Arrows". Kolter and Playmaker flinch in shock at Ai's use of "Judgment Arrows" as Playmaker gasps that it symbolizes the battle between the Ignis and he asks if Ai is following Lightning's wishes (in the dub he's horrified that Ai used the card that destroyed the Cyberse). Soulburner declares that Ai has crossed a line, angrily asking if he knows what it means to use that card and if he's never coming back to them. Ai asks how he can come back now and then casually asks Blue Maiden if Miyu is okay (in the dub, Soulburner protests that if any card is off-limits it's "Judgment Arrows". Ai asks why, given that it's a powerful card and asks if they thought he wasn't taking the Duel seriously, reflecting that the war has ended for humanity, segueing into asking Skye how Miyu is doing). Blue Maiden confirms that Miyu regained consciousness and is recovering, remembering visiting her in the hospital with flowers. Miyu had thanked Skye for saving her, and the two friends had embraced (in the dub, Miyu claimed Aqua told her Skye would save her). Ai then asks Kolter if his brother was saved and Ai sarcastically proclaims that it's great for the humans, but all his friends are gone. Blue Maiden can only weakly protest and Kolter apologizes to Ai. Playmaker sadly notes how seriously Ai is taking this and Varis comments that free will is a reflection of one's friends and society and that is how one strengthens their spirit, but those who haven't toughened up can't handle free will and Ai is being crushed by his emotions (in the dub Playmaker tells Ai they all wish this had gone differently, but Varis doesn't, claiming the Ignis would still be alive had the chosen a different path and accusing Ai of trying to garner their sympathy). Pandor tells Blue Maiden not to worry, claiming that Ai is trying to make her feel sorry for him to bring the Duel in his favor and Ai lightly tells her not to be so blunt. Roboppi comments that Pandor shouldn't have said that, and Ai remarks that whether he's clever or a cutlet (the Japanese words for both sound similar), all he has to do is win. Roboppi produces a steaming plate of meat, commenting that Ai's pun with cutlet was clever, and Ai is overjoyed that Roboppi recognized it, noting they're becoming smarter, though Roboppi blushes and tells Ai it's all thanks to him. (In the dub Roboppi asks if Ai is or isn't what they say he is and Ai admits that he may or may not be but it doesn't matter given they're trying to eat away at his confidence. Roboppi promptly produces the platter and tells Ai he knows he'll serve them up on a silver platter. Ai is impressed by Roboppi's pun but tells him he'll have to clean that up later and Roboppi blushes, claiming to aim to please).

<!--Ai banishes the cards from Blue Maiden's hand to prevent her using the effect of "Marbled Rock".-->
 +
Turning back to the Duel, Ai declares battle and orders "Fire Phoenix" to attack "Marbled Rock", adding that the effect of "Judgment Arrows" will double its ATK. "Fire Phoenix" rises to 4600 ATK, but Blue Maiden refuses to let Ai and activates the effect of "Marbled Rock", sending a "Marincess" card from her hand to the Graveyard to prevent its destruction and reduce the battle damage to zero. Then she activates the Trap Card "Marincess Wave", negating the effects of "Fire Phoenix" until the end of the turn, and "Fire Phoenix" blasts a hail of fiery darts that ricochet harmlessly off the shield of water "Marbled Rock" generated. Ai is impressed Blue Maiden stopped the effect of "Fire Phoenix" from inflicting damage, but activates the Quick-Play Spell Card "TA.I.med Technique", banishing "Fire Phoenix" from his Main Monster Zone and banishing cards from Blue Maiden's hand equal to its Link Rating until the end of the Battle Phase. As "Fire Phoenix" explodes into blue dust, Ai notes that it was Link-3, so both the remaining cards in Blue Maiden's hand are banished, and Blue Maiden gasps in shock as her cards vanish, gritting her teeth. Ai adds that "Dark Templar" will then move from the Extra Monster Zone to the Main Monster Zone (in the dub he also specifies that he's moved it to a zone "Judgment Arrows" points to), noting that without cards in her hand Blue Maiden will be unable to activate the destruction and damage prevention effects of "Marbled Rock". Blue Maiden gasps that Ai anticipated this all and Ai orders "Dark Templar" to attack "Marbled Rock". As "Dark Templar" leaps into the air, Ai adds that the effect of "Judgment Arrows" will double its ATK, and as "Dark Templar" powers up to 4600 ATK it brings its greatsword down and bisects "Marbled Rock", reducing her to liquid and Blue Maiden to 1900 LP. Zaizen asks if Skye is okay, and Blue Maiden reassures him she is. Ai ends his turn, returning the banished "Fire Phoenix" to his field, and Pandor notes Blue Maiden's two banished cards will return to her hand.

<!--Blue Maiden doesn't know how to respond after Ai accuses her of replacing Aqua with Pandor.-->
 +
Blue Maiden asks if she can ask Ai something, and after a dismissive noise of interest from Ai, she notes that he feels guilty for failing to save the Ignis and states she feels the same way as she also failed to protect Aqua (in the dub she expresses a distaste for continuing the Duel, noting that it sounds like she's complaining having lost over half her LP but that Dueling Ai doesn't feel right, since he isn't the only one to lose a friend). She remembers her and Aqua's final words with one another and asks why they have to fight when they feel the same sadness, begging him to stop the Duel. But Ai furiously asks how dare she compare her sadness to his and points out Pandor, asking if Aqua isn't supposed to be there, and Blue Maiden flinches back in shock. Ai smiles, claiming he isn't trying to blame her and reassuring her he knows well that she and Aqua fought alongside one another. Pandor replies that she wouldn't need to exist had Ai not done this, and Ai jokingly asks how dare she. Pandor replies that time continues moving forward, so she is here instead of Aqua and Ai snaps he knows that, but time has stopped moving for him. (In the dub, Pandor instead comments that Ai's actions are illogical based on his past ones and will not lead to any positive outcome for him. Ai retorts that he teamed up with the humans and look where it got him and his friends). He remembers visiting the other Ignis' graves and states that he can't move forward unless he defeats them with his own hands. Playmaker whispers Ai's name sadly as Ai clenches his fist, remembering Bohman's warning that he had closed the future of the Ignis by siding with humanity and his hope he would not regret it.

<!--Zaizen apologizes to Ai.-->
 +
Ai comments that Zaizen will be next, but Zaizen just grits his teeth and looks away. Ai teasingly asks if he has a stomach ache, and Zaizen admits that humanity created and destroyed the Ignis, leaving Ai all alone. He apologizes, as SOL Technologies created the Ignis and Zaizen is their employee (in the dub, Zaizen states he should have done more to help the Ignis, adding his failure to save Earth) and bows in apology, much to his sister, Soulburner and Playmaker's shock, though Varis simply huffs quietly. Kolter gasps Zaizen's name, though Ai seems unimpressed. Zaizen notes that now he is an executive of SOL Technologies his duty is to the thousands of employees and their families and that's why he can't give Ai the code key. He begs Ai to back off, and Ai lightly notes that Zaizen also has something he wants to protect and asks him to show him that fight as Ai doesn't need an apology, urging Zaizen to accept his fate and Duel (in the dub, Zaizen begs Ai to stop before it's too late as getting revenge won't heal the pain in his heart and Ai is incredulous that Zaizen has just admitted how many mistakes he's made and is accusing Ai of making one). Zaizen accepts Ai's remarks, but notes that this is what it is and he'll fight to stop Ai. Ai tells him to bring it on, he'll judge him using "Judgment Arrows" (in the dub he declares the best Duelist will win, which in this case is him).

<!--"Tindangle Hound" destroys "Dark Templar".-->
 +
Zaizen steps forwards and notes that Ai has two Link Monsters with 2300 ATK who will both have their ATK doubled by "Judgment Arrows", but they won't be able to win unless they destroy them (in the dub, Ai is the one who notes they can't win unless they destroy his monsters). He declares his turn and draws, Setting a monster and then activating a Continuous Spell Card, "Stairs of Mail", which allows him to send a "Tindangle" card from his hand to the Graveyard to change a Set monster to face-up Attack Position. Sending "Tindangle Intruder" from his hand to the Graveyard, Zaizen changes his Set "Tindangle Angel" to Attack Position. Ai recalls that Zaizen's "Tindangle" Deck uses Flip monsters and admits that they're troublesome. Zaizen activates the Flip effect of "Tindangle Angel", Special Summoning a Flip monster from his hand or Graveyard in face-down Defense Position, and then since he did, he activates the effect of "Tindangle Intruder" from his Graveyard, Special Summoning it in face-down Defense Position as well. Then he Special Summons "Tindangle Base Gardna" from his hand in Defense Position since he controls a face-down Defense Position monster, and activates the effect of "Stairs of Mail" again, sending a "Tindangle" monster ("Tindangle Returner") from his hand to the Graveyard to change another face-down Defense Position monster he controls to Attack Position, and this time he chooses "Tindangle Intruder". The effect of "Intruder" then activates as it was flipped face-up, allowing Zaizen to add a "Tindangle" card from his Deck to his hand, which he promptly discards to use the effect of "Stairs of Mail" again, flipping his Set "Tindangle Hound" face-up. As it appears with 2500 ATK, Ai comments that it's been a long time since he's seen the scary pooch, and Zaizen activates the Flip effect of "Hound", choosing a monster on the field and gaining ATK equal to its original ATK, then changing that monster to face-down Defense Position. He chooses the 2200 ATK "Intruder", so "Hound" increases to 4700 ATK, much to the shock of the watching Varis, Playmaker and Soulburner; Playmaker noting that "Hound" will have the higher ATK even if Ai uses "Judgment Arrows" to increase the ATK of his "@Ignister" monster, though Soulburner wonders which one Zaizen will attack. Zaizen declares battle, attacking "Dark Templar" with "Hound", who pounces on "Dark Templar" and destroys it, reducing Ai to 3900 LP. Zaizen asks if Ai really won't back down, and Ai retorts that Zaizen shouldn't get smug after just 100 damage.

<!--Zaizen and Blue Maiden Link Summon "Tindangle Acute Cerberus".-->
 +
But Blue Maiden warns that it isn't over yet, and at her call, Zaizen activates her Set Trap "Marincess Decision", banishing a "Marincess" card from the Graveyard to change a Set monster to face-up Defense Position, though this will not trigger its effects. He banishes "Marincess Wave" and changes "Intruder" back to face-up Defense Position, and Blue Maiden adds that they can also Link Summon using that monster. They chant "Open! The circuit that unites us!" and Zaizen declares that the Summoning conditions are three "Tindangle" monsters, setting "Tindangle Base Gardna", "Intruder" and "Angel" to Link Summon the Link-3 "Tindangle Acute Cerberus". As it appears with zero ATK, Playmaker gasps that Zaizen Link Summoned, and Varis muses that this is Zaizen's ace monster. Soulburner replies that it is both Zaizen and Blue Maiden's ace monster, created from their bond. Ai sneers, asking if this is the power between siblings and urging them to show it to him (in the dub he calls them united in defeat), as both Blue Maiden and Zaizen prepare themselves in determination.

Featured Duel: Blue Maiden & Akira Zaizen vs Ai
 +
The Duel is conducted as a Master Duel.<br />
 +
The Duel is also conducted as a Tag-Team Duel, with Blue Maiden and Zaizen teaming up against Ai and sharing the same field, GY and LP.
 +

 +
<u>Turn 1: Blue Maiden</u><br />
 +
Blue Maiden Normal Summons "Marincess Blue Tang". As "Blue Tang" was Normal or Special Summoned, Blue Maiden activates its effect, sending a "Marincess" monster from her Deck to her GY, except another copy of "Blue Tang". She sends "Marincess Sea Horse" from her Deck to her GY. Blue Maiden sets "Blue Tang" (1 Level 4 or lower "Marincess" monster) in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Marincess Blue Slug" (1500/↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Blue Slug" was Link Summoned, Blue Maiden activates its effect, targeting one "Marincess" monster in her GY and adding it to her hand. She targets and adds "Sea Horse" from her GY to her hand. As "Blue Tang" was sent to the GY as material for the Link Summon of a WATER monster, Blue Maiden activates its effect, excavating the top three cards of her Deck and adding one excavated "Marincess" card to her hand, then shuffling the rest into her Deck. She adds "Marincess Basilalima" to her hand, and shuffles the remaining two unknown cards back into her Deck. Blue Maiden Special Summons "Marincess Sea Horse" from her hand to the Main Monster Zone "Blue Slug" points to in Attack Position via its own effect. Blue Maiden sets "Blue Slug" and "Sea Horse" (2 WATER monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Marincess Coral Anemone" (2000/←↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. Blue Maiden activates the effect of "Coral Anemone", targeting a WATER monster in her GY and Special Summoning it to her zone "Coral Anemone" points to. She targets and Special Summons "Blue Slug" from her GY to her zone the bottom-centre Link Arrow of "Coral Anemone" points to. Blue Maiden sets "Blue Slug" and the Link 2 "Coral Anemone" (2+ WATER monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Marincess Marbled Rock" (2500/←↓→) to the Extra Monster Zone. Blue Maiden activates the effect of "Marbled Rock", targeting one "Marincess" card in her GY and adding it to her hand. She targets and adds "Blue Tang". Blue Maiden Sets two cards.

 +
<u>Turn 2: Ai</u><br />
 +
Ai Normal Summons "Pikari @Ignister" (1200/600). As "Pikari" was Normal or Special Summoned, Ai activates its effect, adding "Ignister A.I.Land" from his Deck to his hand. Ai sets "Pikari" (1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Linguriboh" (300/↙) to the Extra Monster Zone. Ai activates the Field Spell "Ignister A.I.Land" and activates its first effect as he controls no monsters in his Main Monster Zones, Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower "@Ignister" monster from his hand, but he cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters (even if "A.I.Land" leaves the field). He Special Summons "Achichi @Ignister" (800/800) in Defense Position. Ai activates the effect of "Hiyari @Ignister" in his hand as he controls a Link Monster in the Extra Monster Zone, Special Summoning "Hiyari" from his hand to a zone a Link Monster he controls points to. He Special Summons "Hiyari" (300/400) in Defense Position to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Linguriboh" points to. Ai sets "Linguriboh", "Achichi", and "Hiyari" (3 Cyberse monsters, including a DARK monster) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Dark Templar @Ignister" (2300/↙↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. Ai activates the first effect of "A.I.Land" again, Special Summoning "Doyon @Ignister" (400/1600) from his hand in Defense Position to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Dark Templar" points to. Ai activates the effect of "Dark Templar", and chains the effect of "Doyon". The chain resolves backwards: as "Doyon" was Normal or Special Summoned, Ai targets an "@Ignister" monster in his GY and adds it to his hand. He targets and adds "Hiyari" from his GY to his hand. The effect of "Dark Templar" resolves as a monster was Special Summoned to Ai's zone a Link Monster he controls points to, targeting a Link Monster he controls, and Special Summoning as many Level 4 or lower "@Ignister" monsters with different names from his GY as possible to his zones the targeted monster points to with their effects negated. He targets "Dark Templar" and Special Summons "Pikari" and "Achichi" to the zones the bottom-centre and bottom-right Link Arrows of "Dark Templar" point to respectively, both in Defense Position. Ai sets "Doyon", "Pikari", and "Achichi" (2+ Cyberse monsters, including a FIRE monster) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" (2300/←↓→) to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Dark Templar" points to. Ai activates the Link Spell "Judgment Arrows" (↖↑↗) in the Spell & Trap Zone the bottom-centre Link Arrow of "Fire Phoenix" points to.

"Fire Phoenix" attacks "Marbled Rock". The effect of "Judgement Arrows" activates as a Link Monster it points to is battling, doubling the ATK of that monster during damage calculation only ("Fire Phoenix": 2300 → 4600 ATK). As an opponent's monster declared an attack, Blue Maiden activates the effect of "Marbled Rock", sending a "Marincess" monster from her hand to her GY to prevent that battling "Marincess" monster from being destroyed by that battle, also she takes no battle damage from that battle. She sends "Basilalima" from her hand to her GY. As Blue Maiden controls a Link-3 or higher "Marincess" monster, she can activate her Trap "Marincess Wave" from her hand. As she controls a "Marincess" Link Monster, Blue Maiden activates "Marincess Wave" from her hand, targeting one face-up monster her opponent controls and negating that face-up monster's effects until the end of the turn, then if she controls a Link-2 or higher "Marincess" monster, all face-up monsters she currently controls are unaffected by her opponent's card effects until the end of this turn. She targets "Fire Phoenix". The attack continues, but "Marbled Rock" isn't destroyed and Blue Maiden takes no battle damage from the battle. Ai activates the Quick-Play Spell "TA.I.med Technique", targeting one "@Ignister" monster he controls in the Extra Monster Zone and one Link Monster in his Main Monster Zone, then banishing both that monster in his Main Monster Zone and cards from his opponent's hand, up to that monster's Link Rating, until the end of the Battle Phase, and if he does, he then moves that monster in his Extra Monster Zone to his Main Monster Zone. He targets "Dark Templar" in his Extra Monster Zone and the Link-3 "Fire Phoenix" in his Main Monster Zone, banishes "Fire Phoenix" and the remaining two cards from Blue Maiden's hand, then moves "Dark Templar" to the Main Monster Zone the top-right Link Arrow of "Judgement Arrows" points to. "Dark Templar" attacks "Marbled Rock". The effect of "Judgement Arrows" activates as a Link Monster it points to is battling, doubling the ATK of that monster during damage calculation only ("Dark Templar": 2300 → 4600 ATK). "Marbled Rock" is destroyed (Blue Maiden & Zaizen: 4000 → 1900 LP) ("Dark Templar": 4600 → 2300 ATK).

<u>Turn 3: Zaizen</u><br />

Zaizen Sets a monster. Zaizen activates the Continuous Spell "Stairs of Mail". The effect of "Stairs of Mail" allows Zaizento send one "Tindangle" card from his hand to his GY to either change one face-down Defense Position monster he controls to Attack Position, or he can change one Attack Position monster he controls to face-down Defense Position, but he cannot send other cards with the same name to his GY by the effect of "Stairs of Mail" for the rest of this turn. He sends "Tindangle Intruder" from his hand to the GY, and applies the first effect, changing his Set "Tindangle Angel" (500/1800) to Attack Position. Zaizen activates the Flip effect of "Angel", Special Summoning a Flip monster from his hand or GY in face-down Defense Position, except another copy of "Tindangle Angel". He Special Summons a Flip monster from his hand in Defense Position. Zaizen activates the effect of "Tindangle Intruder" in his GY as a monster(s) was Special Summoned to his field in face-down Defense Position while "Intruder" was in his GY, Special Summoning "Intruder" from his GY in face-down Defense Position. As he controls a face-down Defense Position monster, Zaizen Special Summons "Tindangle Base Gardna" (0/2300) from his hand in Defense Position via its own effect. Zaizen activates the effect of "Stairs of Mail" again, sending "Tindangle Returner" from his hand to his GY to change his face-down Defense Position "Intruder" (2200/0) to Attack Position. Zaizen activates the Flip effect of "Intruder", adding a "Tindangle" card from his Deck to his hand. He adds an unknown "Tindangle" card from his Deck to his hand. Zaizen activates the effect of "Stairs of Mail", sending the unknown "Tindangle" card from his hand to his GY to change his face-down Defense Position "Tindangle Hound" (2500/0) to Attack Position. Zaizen activates the Flip effect of "Hound", targeting one other face-up monster on the field and increasing the ATK of "Hound" by that target's original ATK, then changing that target to face-down Defense Position. He targets "Intruder" ("Hound": 2500 → 4700 ATK), which is then changed to face-down Defense Position.

"TIndangle Hound" attacks "Dark Templar", and the effect of "Judgement Arrows" activates as a Link Monster it points to is battling, doubling the ATK of that monster during damage calculation only ("Dark Templar": 2300 → 4600 ATK). "Dark Templar" is destroyed (Ai: 4000 → 3900). Zaizen activates Blue Maiden's Set Normal Trap "Marincess Decision", banishing one "Marincess" card from their GY to target one face-down Defense Position monster he controls and change it to face-up Defense Position, (but its Flip effects are not activated), then immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon a Link Monster using monsters he controls as material, including that targeted monster. He banishes "Wave", targets his Set "Intruder", and changes it to face-up Defense Position, then he sets "Base Gardna", "Intruder", and "Angel" (3 "Tindangle" monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Tindangle Acute Cerberus" (0/↙↑↘) to the Extra Monster Zone.

"Siblings and Circuits", known as "Ai's Sad Frustration" in the Japanese version, is the one hundred and tenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on July 17, 2019 and aired in Australia on August 30, 2021.

Ai has discovered Zaizen and Blue Maiden in the network, and in order to seize control of SOL Technologies' system, he challenges the two of them to a Duel. The Zaizen siblings protect each other and fend off Ai's attacks, and with their minds as one they launch a counterattack.

Summary[edit]

Featured Duel: Blue Maiden & Akira Zaizen vs Ai[edit]

The Duel is conducted as a Master Duel.
The Duel is also conducted as a Tag-Team Duel, with Blue Maiden and Zaizen teaming up against Ai and sharing the same field, GY and LP.

Turn 1: Blue Maiden

Turn 2: Ai

Turn 3: Zaizen

Duel continues in the next episode.
