In order to find some clues about Ai, Soulburner challenges Roboppi to a Duel and attempts to reason with them about finding a way to coexist with humans. However, Roboppi's response is a sinister smile, then saying that Ai is suffering because Soulburner failed to protect Flame...

Featured Duel: Roboppi vs. Soulburner

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Turn 2: Soulburner
Soulburner's opening hand contains "Salamangreat Lemming", "Salamangreat Tail", "Salamangreat Falco", "Salamangreat Fang", "Salamangreat Claw", and "Salamangreat Gazelle".

Soulburner Normal Summons "Gazelle" (1500/1000) and activates its second effect: if it is Normal or Special Summoned, Soulburner can send 1 "Salamangreat" card from his Deck to his GY, except another copy of "Gazelle". He sends "Salamangreat Spinny" from his Deck to his GY. Soulburner activates the second effect of "Spinny" in his GY: if he controls a "Salamangreat" monster other than "Salamangreat Spinny" and "Spinny" is in his GY, he can Special Summon it to his field, but he must banish it when it leaves the field. He Special Summons "Spinny" (1000/1500) to his field in Attack Position. Soulburner overlays his Level 3 "Gazelle" and "Spinny" to Xyz Summon the Rank 3 "Salamangreat Miragestallio" (2000/900/ORU 2) in Attack Position to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. Soulburner activates the first effect of "Miragestallio": he can detach 1 Overlay Unit from it, in order to Special Summon 1 "Salamangreat" monster from his Deck in Defense Position, but he cannot activate monster effects for the rest of this turn, except FIRE monsters. He detaches 1 Overlay Unit ("Miragestallio": 2 → 1 ORU) and Special Summons "Salamangreat Jack Jaguar" (1800/1200) in Defense Position. Soulburner sets "Miragestallio" and "Jack Jaguar" (2 FIRE Effect monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf" (1800/↑↓) to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. Soulburner activates the second effect of "Miragestallio" from his GY: if this Xyz Summoned card is sent to the GY as Link Material for the Link Summon of a "Salamangreat" Link Monster, he can target 1 monster on the field and return it to the hand. He targets "Appliancer Propelion", however Roboppi chains their set Quick-Play Spell "Appliancer Coating": if a monster effect is activated that targets an "Appliancer" monster(s) Roboppi controls, that monster effect is negated, and in doing so, Roboppi draws a card. The Chain resolves backwards: the second effect of "Miragestallio" is negated and Roboppi draws a card. Soulburner activates the second effect of "Jack Jaguar" in his GY: if he controls a "Salamangreat" monster(s) that was Link Summoned this turn, while this card is in his GY, he can target 1 of those Link Monsters and 1 other "Salamangreat" monster in his GY; shuffle the second target into the Deck/Extra Deck, and if he does, Special Summon "Jack Jaguar" to his Main Monster Zone the first target points to. He targets "Sunlight Wolf" on his field and "Miragestallio" in his GY, returns "Miragestallio" to his Extra Deck, and Special Summons "Jack Jaguar" to his Main Monster Zone the bottom center Link Arrow of "Sunlight Wolf" points to, in Attack Position. Soulburner activates the first effect of "Sunlight Wolf": if a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to the zone(s) this card points to (except during the Damage Step), Soulburner can add 1 FIRE monster from his GY to his hand, but for the rest of this turn, he cannot Normal Summon/Set or Special Summon monsters with the added monster's name. He adds "Gazelle" from his GY to his hand. Soulburner sets "Jack Jaguar" (1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster) in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Salamangreat Balelynx" (500/↓) to the Main Monster Zone the bottom center Link Arrow of "Sunlight Wolf" points to. Soulburner activates the first effect of "Balelynx": if this card is Link Summoned, Soulburner can add 1 "Salamangreat Sanctuary" from his Deck to his hand. Soulburner sets "Balelynx" and the Link 2 "Sunlight Wolf" (2 or more FIRE Effect monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Salamangreat Heatleo" (2300/↙↑↘) to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. Soulburner activates the first effect of "Heatleo": if this card is Link Summoned, he can target 1 card in his opponent's Spell & Trap Zone, and shuffle it into the Deck. He targets Roboppi's Set card in their Spell & Trap Zone and shuffles it into their respective Deck. Soulburner activates the Field Spell "Sanctuary". Due to the first effect of "Sanctuary", if Soulburner would Link Summon a "Salamangreat" Link Monster, he can use 1 "Salamangreat" Link Monster he controls with its same name as the entire material. Therefore, he sets "Heatleo" in the Link Arrows to Reincarnation Link Summon a second copy of "Heatleo" to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. Soulburner activates the second effect of "Heatleo": once per turn, during his Main Phase, if this card was Reincarnation Link Summoned, Soulburner can target 1 face-up monster on the field and 1 monster in his GY, and make the ATK of the first target become equal to the second target's, until the end of this turn. He targets "Propelion" on the field and "Balelynx" in his GY ("Propelion": 1200 → 500 ATK). Soulburner activates the Equip Spells "Claw" and "Fang" and equips them both to "Heatleo". Due to the first effect of "Fang", the equipped monster gains ATK equal to the total Link Rating of the Link Monsters Soulburner controls x 300. Soulburner controls the Link 3 "Heatleo" ("Heatleo": 2300 → 3200 ATK). Due to the effect of "Claw", if the equipped monster is a "Salamangreat" Link Monster Soulburner controls that was Reincarnation Link Summoned, then during each Battle Phase it can make attacks on monsters up to its Link Rating.

"Heatleo" attacks "Propelion". During damage calculation, Roboppi activates the second effect of "Appliancer Celtopus", then chains the first effect of "Propelion". The chain resolves backwards: due to the effect of "Propelion", if Roboppi's monster is attacked by an opponent's monster, while "propelion" is co-linked, Roboppi can halve that opponent's monster's ATK during that damage calculation only ("Heatleo": 3200 → 1600 ATK). Then, due to the effect of "Celtopus", during damage calculation, if Roboppi's Link Monster co-linked to "Celtopus" battles an opponent's monster, while all monsters Roboppi controls are "Appliancer" monsters, their battling monster gains 1000 ATK for each monster co-linked to "Celtopus", during that damage calculation only. There are 2 Link Monsters currently co-linked with "Celtopus": "Propelion" and "Appliancer Vacculephant" ("Propelion": 500 → 2500 ATK). The attack continues and fails (Soulburner: 4000 → 3100 LP), but due to the first effect of "Claw", the "Heatleo" that it is equipped to cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects ("Propelion": 2500 → 500 ATK) ("Heatleo": 1600 → 3200 ATK).

"Heatleo" attacks "Propelion" again. During damage calculation, Roboppi activates the second effect of "Celtopus": if Roboppi's Link Monster co-linked to "Celtopus" battles an opponent's monster while all monsters they control are "Appliancer" monsters, their battling monster gains 1000 ATK for each monster co-linked to "Celtopus", during that damage calculation only. There are 2 Link Monsters currently co-linked with "Celtopus": "Propelion" and "Vacculephant" ("Propelion": 500 → 2500 ATK). The attack continues and "Heatleo" destroys "Propelion" (Roboppi: 4000 → 3300 LP). Soulburner activates the third effect of "Fang": if the equipped monster is a "Salamangreat" Link Monster he controls that was Reincarnation Link Summoned, and it destroys an opponent's monster by its attack, Soulburner can inflict effect damage to his opponent equal to half that destroyed opponent's monster's original ATK. The original ATK of "Propelion" is 1200 ATK (Roboppi: 3300 → 2700 LP).

"Heatleo" attacks "Vacculephant". There is 1 Link Monster currently co-linked with "Celtopus": "Vacculephant" ("Vacculephant": 1000 → 2000 ATK). The attack continues and "Vacculephant" is destroyed (Roboppi: 2700 → 1500 LP). Soulburner activates the third effect of "Fang" again, inflicting damage to Roboppi equal to half of the original ATK of the destroyed "Vacculephant" (Roboppi: 1500 → 1000 LP).

Turn 3: Roboppi
Roboppi draws "Appliancer Recycling" for their normal draw. Roboppi Normal Summons "Appliancer Socketroll" (100/100). Roboppi sets "Socketroll" (1 Level 1 "Appliancer" monster) in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Appliancer Kappa Scale" (0/↑) to the Main Monster Zone the bottom center Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to, so that they are now co-linked. Roboppi activates the second effect of "Appliancer Electrilyrical World": if their "Appliancer" Link Monster is Link Summoned, they can target 1 "Appliancer" monster in their GY and return it to their hand. They target and add "Socketroll" from their GY to their hand. Roboppi activates the first effect of "Kappa Scale": if it is co-linked, Roboppi can Tribute it, then target 1 "Appliancer" Link Monster in their GY and Special Summon it. They Tribute "Kappa Scale", in order to target and Special Summon "Propelion" (1200/↑) from their GY. "Propelion" sets "Propelion" (1 Link 1 "Appliancer" monster) in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Appliancer Laundry Dragon" (1500/↑) to the Main Monster Zone the bottom center Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to, so that they are now co-linked.

"Laundry Dragon" attacks "Heatleo". During damage calculation, Roboppi activates the effect of "Celtopus", then chains the first effect of "Laundry Dragon". The chain resolves backwards: during damage calculation, if "Laundry Dragon" card battles an opponent's monster while co-linked, neither player takes any battle damage from that battle, also that opponent's monster is banished after damage calculation. The effect of "Celtopus" resolves: if Roboppi's Link Monster co-linked to "Celtopus" battles an opponent's monster while all monsters they control are "Appliancer" monsters, their battling monster gains 1000 ATK for each monster co-linked to "Celtopus", during that damage calculation only. There is 1 Link Monster currently co-linked with "Celtopus": "Laundry Dragon" ("Laundry Dragon": 1500 → 2500 ATK). The attack continues and fails, and "Laundry Dragon" is destroyed, but due to its effect, Roboppi takes no battle damage. After damage calculation, "Heatleo" is banished, and since the equipped monster left the field, the copies of "Claw" and "Fang" that were equipped to "Heatleo" are destroyed. Roboppi activates the Quick-Play Spell "Recycling": if their opponent's monster is destroyed by battle, or leaves the field because of a card effect, Roboppi can target 1 Link-1 Link Monster in each GY and banish them, then they can Special Summon 1 "Appliancer" monster from your GY, and if they do, their opponent Special Summons 1 of their banished Link Monsters. In addition, these Special Summoned monsters cannot be destroyed by battle this turn. Roboppi targets and banishes the Link 1 "Kappa Scale" from their GY and the Link 1 "Balelynx" from Soulburner's GY, then Roboppi Special Summons "Laundry Dragon" from their GY to the Main Monster Zone the bottom left Link Arrow of "Celtopus" points to, and Soulburner Special Summons his banished "Heatleo" to his field.

"Laundry Dragon" attacks "Heatleo" again. During damage calculation, Roboppi activates the third effect of "Laundry Dragon": if this card that is not co-linked battles an opponent's monster, neither player takes any battle damage from that battle, also that opponent's monster is destroyed after damage calculation, and if it is, Roboppi's opponent takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK. The attack continues and fails, but "Laundry Dragon" isn't destroyed by that battle due to the effect of "Recycling", also Roboppi doesn't take any battle damage from that battle due to the effect of "Laundry Dragon". After damage calculation, "Heatleo" is destroyed and Soulburner takes damage equal to its original ATK of 2300, due to the effect of "Laundry Dragon" (Soulburner: 3100 → 800 LP). Soulburner activates the first effect of "Lemming" in his hand: if a face-up "Salamangreat" monster(s) he controls is destroyed by battle or card effect, he can send "Lemming" from his hand to his GY, in order to Special Summon 1 "Salamangreat" monster from his hand, and if he does, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. He sends "Lemming" from his hand to the GY, and Special Summons "Gazelle" in Defense Position. Soulburner activates the second effect of "Gazelle": if it is Normal or Special Summoned, Soulburner can send 1 "Salamangreat" card from his Deck to his GY, except another copy of "Salamangreat Gazelle". He sends "Salamangreat Zebroid X" from his Deck to his GY.

Roboppi activates the Normal Spell "Appliancer Reduction", banishing as many monsters their opponent controls as possible that were Special Summoned this turn, then they draw cards equal to the number of "Appliancer" Link Monsters they control with different names. The copy of "Gazelle" that Soulburner controls is banished, and Roboppi draws 2 cards (as he control 2 "Appliancer" Link Monsters with different names: "Celtopus" and "Laundry Dragon"). Roboppi Sets 2 cards.

Duel concludes in the next episode.
