After dodging several attacks by the skin of his teeth, Playmaker finds an opening and attempts to strike back at Ai. However, Ai knows Playmaker inside and out, and can predict everything he will do. Then, Ai unites his feelings for all the Ignis, and brings about the advent of the ultimate Cyberse.

SummaryEdit

Playmaker banishes a card from his Deck face-down with "Cynet Closure".

The Data Storm roils around Playmaker and Ai as they face off, both on 4000 LP and Ai controlling the 2300 ATK "Dark Templar @Ignister" and "Fire Phoenix @Ignister". Ai warns Playmaker that he's serious and that Playmaker can't be indecisive. Playmaker asks Ai if they really have to fight, and Ai snaps at him to stop being annoying. Playmaker frowns and grits his teeth, then he vows to Duel with all his strength. Ai tells him that's the spirit, and Playmaker declares his turn and draws. He activates the Spell Card "Cynet Closure", banishing a card from his Deck face-down. Ai takes note of the move, and then Playmaker Summons "Flame Bufferlo". Next he uses the effect of the Continuous Spell Card "Cynet Optimization", Summoning "Formud Skipper". He sets them to Link Summon the Link-2 "Cyberse Witch". Ai repeats the monster's name, and muses that he's curious as to what card Playmaker banished face-down, but did he just do so to activate the effect of "Cyberse Witch"? (In the dub Ai notes that he knows about that monsters, but Playmaker must know that he knows.) Playmaker then activates the effect of "Formud Skipper", adding a Level 5 or higher Cyberse monster from his Deck to his hand. He adds "Degrade Buster" to his hand, and then activate the effect of "Flame Bufferlo" since it left the field, discarding "Dotscaper" to draw two cards. Then he activates the effect of "Dotscaper" as it was sent to the Graveyard, Special Summoning it. This allows him to activate the effect of "Cyberse Witch" from his Graveyard, banishing "Cynet Closure" to add "Cynet Ritual" and "Cyberse Magician" from his Deck to his hand. Ai notes that Playmaker's moves are strong no matter his true goals, so he can't be careless (in the dub the thinking that now he knows Playmaker is planning to Summon one of his most powerful monsters). Playmaker then banishes two Cyberse monsters ("Garbage Collector" and "Flame Bufferlo") from his Graveyard to Special Summon "Degrade Buster", and then the lines on his suit glow blue as he activates the Ritual Spell Card "Cynet Ritual", Tributing "Degrade Buster" to Ritual Summon "Cyberse Magician". Ai comments that Playmaker's brought out "Cyberse Magician", but he smiles and comments that he doesn't think Playmaker's done yet (in the dub Ai is thrilled to see Playmaker is keeping his promise to Duel with all his strength).

Playmaker Fusion Summons "Cyberse Clock Dragon".

Playmaker activates the other effect of "Cyberse Witch", Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from his Graveyard. He revives "Clock Wyvern" and activates its effect as it was Special Summoned, halving its ATK to Special Summon a "Clock Token". Then he activates the effect of "Sea Archiver" from his Graveyard as a monster was Special Summoned to a zone a Link Monster points to, Special Summoning it. He sets "Cyberse Witch" and the "Clock Token", Link Summoning the Link-2 "Clock Spartoi" and activates its effect, adding "Cynet Fusion" from his Deck to his hand. Then Playmaker sets "Sea Archiver", "Clock Wyvern" and "Dotscaper", Link Summoning the Link-3 "Transcode Talker". Ai ecstatically cheers that he's happy that Playmaker isn't letting up, and that's the spirit (in the dub he admits he's enjoying Playmaker's highlight reel). Playmaker declares that the effect of "Transcode Talker" will increase its ATK and the ATK of the monster it is co-linked with by 500 and preventing them from being targeted by Ai's effects. Then he activates the effect of "Clock Spartoi", which glow purple as Playmaker states that he can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from his Graveyard with its effects negated, and he resurrects "Clock Wyvern" again. Then he activates the effect of "Transcode Talker", Special Summoning a Link-3 or lower Cyberse Link Monster from his Graveyard to a zone it points to, and he resurrects "Decode Talker". Finally, Playmaker activates the Spell Card "Cynet Fusion", and the lines on his suit glow purple as he fuses "Clock Wyvern", "Clock Spartoi" and "Decode Talker" to Fusion Summon "Cyberse Clock Dragon". With the removal of "Clock Spartoi", the ATK of "Transcode Talker" returns to normal.

Ai swarms the field with his "@Ignister" monsters, blocking Playmaker's attack.

Playmaker activates the effect of "Cyberse Clock Dragon" as it was Fusion Summoned, sending five cards ("Bitrooper", "Limit Code", "Cynet Backdoor", "Cynet Universe" and "Overfloater") from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, and "Cyberse Clock Dragon" gains 5000 ATK. Ai is shocked by the 7500 ATK (in the dub he protests ATK shouldn't go that high), and Playmaker declares battle, attacking "Fire Phoenix" with "Cyberse Clock Dragon". "Clock Dragon" swiftly draws in energy and unleashes its attack, and Ai admits that he can't believe that Playmaker was able to raise the ATK of "Clock Dragon" so high, but it's good for him. Playmaker gasps in shock as Ai activates the Trap Card "A.I.'s Show", Special Summoning Cyberse monsters from his Extra Deck to zones his Link Monsters point to whose total ATK is equal or less than that of "Clock Dragon", then ending the battle. Playmaker gasps "What?!" and Ai tells his monsters to come on out as he Special Summons "Earth Golem @Ignister", "Wind Pegasus @Ignister" and "Light Dragon @Ignister". The energy blast strikes in front of his united monsters and dissipates harmlessly. Ai laughs, commenting that he was able to call out three since Playmaker raised his monster's ATK so high, but he knew that Playmaker would do that since he knows everything about how he Duels (in the dub he also comments that humanity is doomed). Playmaker grits his teeth, and he ends his turn.

Ai declares that his fate will depend on the result of the Duel.

Ai comments that now he's much closer to victory and "little Ai's" army will soon be born. Playmaker asks Ai if making lots of copies will really satisfy him, and Ai lightly claims that they will. As Playmaker knows, Ai got rid of his friends and became alone. There were only six of them, but they foolishly hated one another. Playmaker protests that it wasn't Ai's fault, and Ai agrees, but he notes that it doesn't matter whose fault it was. He likens himself to Earth's last surviving human, and he states that won't change. He admits that he understands how Playmaker felt now, and that being alone is painful. Playmaker says Ai's name sadly, and Ai admits that Varis may have been right; if this was the result, they shouldn't have been given free will, and then Ai wouldn't have had to suffer. Playmaker replies that he understands Ai's sadness, but begs Ai not to let this fate sweep him away. Ai smiles sadly, commenting that his fate is dependent on the result of this Duel, and whether or not his copies will be created. Playmaker tells Ai that even if he makes copies, they won't be real friends and Ai's loneliness won't go away. But Ai claims that he never expected them to, much to Playmaker's surprise. (In the dub Ai mocks Playmaker for being unable to do anything and Playmaker asks if Ai really thinks ending his turn means his path to victory has been stopped. Ai claims he was just making conversation, as he has missed talking with Playmaker and Roboppi was no substitute. Playmaker comments that Ai sounds as though he was lonely and Ai dismisses the notion, reminding Playmaker he was alone for five years after Varis attacked the Cyberse and claiming a few weeks was nothing. Playmaker asks if it really was nothing and Ai angrily asks what mind tricks he's trying. Playmaker replies he isn't trying to trick Ai and Ai admits Playmaker knows how he feels.)

Ai casually admits that he'll be no more even if he wins the Duel.

Ai thoughtfully notes that he didn't tell Playmaker. He explains that when his copies are created, his free will will be divided and given to them as the final activation trigger. Playmaker asks what will happen to Ai, and Ai claims that his free will will be broken apart, and he'll be no more. Playmaker can only gasp in horror as Ai adds that if Playmaker wins, he'll return everything that Ai took and he'll be no more, but if Ai wins, Playmaker will be no more and Ai's copies will be created. Either way, Ai will be no more. Playmaker sternly asks if Ai is making him choose how Ai will die, and Ai admits that he knows that it's a bother, but that's right. He wants to be with Playmaker at the end. Playmaker tells Ai to stop this nonsense, protesting that there must still be a way to save him. Ai replies that Playmaker doesn't need to save him, and he points out that either way Playmaker has to take back what he stole. He tells Playmaker that they'll Duel for real; that's what "little Ai" - Playmaker's former partner - wants. Playmaker says Ai's name sadly. (In the dub, Ai does not reveal that his plan will kill him and dismissively believes Playmaker will say Ai made his life a drag when they met. He is shocked when Playmaker claims that time sped up for him when he met Ai; that he had fun and Playmaker in turn is shocked Ai does not realize this himself. Playmaker adds that he knows Ai had fun too, but that ends if humanity is gone, though Ai reminds him that won't be a problem with his SOLtAi and the squirrels. He suggests Playmaker worry about himself, as only one of them will be around when this Duel ends.)

"Cyberse Clock Dragon" and "Cyberse Magician" pose a problem for Ai.

Ai steps forward and he declares that he's coming. He declares his turn and draws, reflecting that Playmaker has both "Clock Dragon" and "Cyberse Magician" on his field, and as long as Playmaker controls a Link Monster, they prevent other monsters from being attacked or targeted by effects, and so if Playmaker controls both of them, Ai can't attack and his card effects are limited. However... (in the dub he thinks that it seriously limits his options, but it shouldn't be a problem since he isn't serious). He activates the Spell Card, "A.I. Contact", returning the second "Ignister A.I.Land" in his hand to his Deck and drawing three cards. He looks at his card, commenting that he got a good one. He activates the effect of "Wind Pegasus", destroying Spell and Trap Cards Playmaker controls up to the number of "@Ignister" monsters he controls. He destroys "Code Hack" and "Cynet Optimization", and Playmaker grits his teeth. Then Ai Summons "Hiyari @Ignister" and activates its effect, Tributing an "@Ignister" monster to add "A.I.'s Ritual" from his Deck to his hand. He Tributes "Fire Phoenix", adding that since he Tributed an "@Ignister" monster to activate this effect, the effect of "Hiyari" increases its Level by the Link Rating of the Tributed monster until the end of the turn. Then he can add a Ritual Monster from his Deck to his hand, and he holds up "Water Leviathan @Ignister". He activates the Ritual Spell Card, "A.I.'s Ritual", and he explains that since he controls a WATER "@Ignister" he can also banish an "@Ignister" from his Graveyard instead of Tributing. He Tributes the Level 4 "Hiyari" and banishes the Level 4 "Pikari @Ignister" from his Graveyard to Ritual Summon, chanting "The water god dragon that hides in the ocean! Level 7 Water Leviathan @Ignister!"

Playmaker and Ai's monsters face off.

Playmaker grits his teeth, and Ai activates the effect of "Water Leviathan" as it was Ritual Summoned, returning all monsters Playmaker controls with 2300 or less ATK to his hand. He declares that "Transcode Talker" will be returned to Playmaker's Extra Deck, and "Water Leviathan" breathes a tornado of water at "Transcode Talker", dissolving it. Ai states that now Playmaker's Link Monster is gone, "Clock Dragon" and "Cyberse Magician" can't lock him down anymore. Playmaker grits his teeth again and Ai notes that "Cyberse Magician" is still in the way since its effect will halve all damage Playmaker takes (in the dub he also claims he doesn't like the way "Cyberse Magician" is looking at him and probably think he's better than Ai). He declares battle, and "Water Leviathan" attacks "Cyberse Magician", breathing another waterspout at it. Ai activates the effect of "Water Leviathan", halving the ATK of the monster it battles. "Cyberse Magician" falls to 2500 ATK, but Playmaker reminds Ai that its effect will halve the damage. Ai points out that it will still be destroyed, and "Cyberse Magician" is struck by the waterspout and vanishes in a cloud of smoke as Playmaker falls to 3475 LP. Ai then activates the effect of "Light Dragon @Ignister" since another "@Ignister" monster inflicted battle damage to Playmaker, Special Summoning an "@Ignister" monster from his Graveyard. He resurrects "Fire Phoenix", and Playmaker scowls upon seeing the monster and mutters its name (in the dub he mutters this is not good). Ai tells Playmaker that his special double strike is coming, and "Fire Phoenix" attacks "Clock Dragon". Playmaker realizes the purpose of the attack, and Ai confirms that Playmaker knows what's going to happen. "Judgment Arrows" doubles the ATK of "Fire Phoenix" to 4600, and when "Fire Phoenix" battles its effect inflicts damage to the opponent equal to its ATK, so Playmaker will take 4600 damage and Ai will win the Duel.

"Cyberse Clock Dragon" counterattacks.

Playmaker declares that he won't let Ai, and he activates the effect of "Overfloater" from his Graveyard; since Ai controls more monsters than him, he can banish it from the Graveyard and negate the effects of all monsters Ai controls with equal or less ATK than the battling monster's original ATK. Ai gasps "What?!" and Playmaker declares that now the effects of all of Ai's monsters have been negated, including the damage-dealing effect of "Fire Phoenix". The ATK of "Fire Phoenix" doubles to 4600 as it breathes a spurt of fire at "Cyberse Clock Dragon", which instantly responds with its own energy stream that brushes aside the flames with ease and disintegrates "Fire Phoenix", blasting Ai back a step as his LP falls to 1100. He lowers his arms and grins that it wasn't bad, then he admits that it was actually impressive, as Playmaker was able to send that card to the Graveyard without Ai noticing.

As his ultimate move, Ai Link Summons the Link-6 "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister".

Ai comments that he guesses he'll have to use his special move, and Playmaker asks "what?" Ai excitedly claims that "little Ai's" special move is...fighting spirit! His lightheartedness doesn't get any response from Playmaker, and Ai starts being serious, activating the Spell Card "FA.I.ghting Spirit", Special Summoning an "@Ignister" monster from his Graveyard with its effects negated. He revives "Fire Phoenix" again, and as Playmaker and Ai behold the six assembled "@Ignister" monsters, Ai sees the spirits of Earth, Lightning, Aqua, Windy and Flame. He thinks to them all that this is his perfect field, and this time, they'll truly become one (in the dub he thinks that each of them represents an Ignis and it's like they're all here, but they aren't here, they're all gone, though now they will fight as one). As Playmaker watches, Ai gets a determined look on his face and he chants "Appear! The circuit that guides the dark!" He explains that the Summoning conditions are at least two monsters with different Attributes that have at least 1500 ATK, and he sets the six "@Ignisters" - the FIRE "Fire Phoenix", the WATER "Water Leviathan", the EARTH "Earth Golem", the WIND "Wind Pegasus", the LIGHT "Light Dragon" and the DARK "Dark Templar" in the Link Arrows, the images of the other Ignis and then himself flashing over them as he declares them. He chants "Link Summon! The six shine and become one! Superior! Splendid! Stunning! Elegant! Super!" ("I now Link Summon! The six of us merge into one! The superior, strong, splendid, stunning, super...!" in the dub)...and then he counts and realizes that he's one adjective short, so he eventually goes with "Ultra super!" (Super-super in the dub.) He tells Playmaker to watch this; he's enhanced Bohman's program to create the ultimate move (in the dub he redoes hsi chant, chanting "Rewind: The superior, strong, splendid, stunning, super, super-super Link Monster! The one that rules above all!"), and he calls out the Link-6 "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister", a humanoid figure with the contours of a "Code Talker" monster and rings of data surrounding it, with undetermined ATK.

"The Arrival" powers up to 11000 ATK.

Playmaker is shocked to see a Link-6 monster, and Ai explains that "The Arrival" has 1000 ATK for each Link Material. Six monsters were used, so it powers up to 6000 ATK, and it also gains 1000 ATK for every card Ai controls. With four cards on the field, it gains an additional 4000 ATK, and once every turn Ai places a counter on it. A blue light glows on the chest of "The Arrival" as it powers up to 10000 ATK, and Playmaker repeats the value in shock. Ai adds that "The Arrival" has another effect; once per turn it can destroy a monster and then Special Summon an "@Ignister Token" to a zone that it points to. Playmaker gasps "What?!" in shock as Ai laughs and comments that it's disappointing, before bidding "Cyberse Clock Dragon" goodbye. "Cyberse Clock Dragon" explodes into flames that are swiftly extinguished by the Data Storm, and the "@Ignister Token" appears. With another card on Ai's field, "The Arrival" gains another 1000 ATK, increasing to 11000. But being sent to the Graveyard by a card effect has activated the effect of "Clock Dragon", allowing Playmaker to add a Spell Card from his Deck to his hand. Ai states that he isn't done, and he sets the "@Ignister Token" to Link Summon the Link-1 "Darkwight @Ignister". Playmaker notes its zero ATK, and Ai explains that "Darkwight" can't be attacked while it is linked, so to defeat Ai, Playmaker has to defeat "The Arrival". He ends his turn and he tells Playmaker to bring it on, warning him that his monsters will keep being destroyed if he doesn't (in the dub he claims it will be a piece of cake; all Playmaker has to do is Summon a monster with at least 11001 ATK).

Playmaker declares his turn and he draws. He notes that he'll have to deal with the 11000 ATK "The Arrival" first, and he Summons "Cyberse Gadget", allowing him to Special Summon a Level 2 or lower monster from his Graveyard with its effects negated. He revives "Formud Skipper" and sets both monsters to Link Summon the Link-2 "Cyberse Wicckid". The effects of "Formud Skipper" activates from Playmaker's Graveyard, allowing him to add a Level 5 or higher Cyberse monster from his Deck to his hand, and then the effect of "Cyberse Gadget" activates and Special Summons a "Gadget Token". The effect of "Cyberse Wicckid" then activates as a monster was Special Summoned to a zone it points to, banish "Dotscaper" from his Graveyard and add "Cyberse Synchron" from his Deck to his hand. The effect of "Dotscaper" then activates as it was banished, Special Summoning it, and Playmaker sets it and "Cyberse Wicckid" to Link Summon the Link-2 "Exslayer". Next, he activates the effect of "Parallel eXceed" from his hand since he Link Summoned, Special Summoning it from his hand to the zone the Link Monster points to, and then Special Summoning a second "Parallel eXceed". As they were Special Summoned via the effect of "Parallel eXceed", their Levels and DEF are halved, to 4 and 1000 respectively. The lines on Playmaker's suit then glow dark blue as he builds the Overlay Network with the two Level 4 "Parallel eXceed", Xyz Summoning the Rank 4 "Firewall eXceed Dragon". Playmaker explains that the effect of "eXceed Dragon" will increase its ATK by 500 times the Link Rating of the Link Monsters linked to it, and it powers up to 3500 ATK.

Ai throws a tantrum over Playmaker not falling for his trick.

Then Playmaker activates the effect of "Exslayer" since he Xyz Summoned a monster to a zone it points to, Tributing a monster to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from his hand. He Tributes the "Gadget Token" and Special Summons "Widget Kid". Ai notes that he sees; Playmaker Xyz Summoned in order to bring out "Widget Kid" and he realizes what Playmaker is planning (in the dub he comments that "Widget Kid" was how they setup to Summon their most powerful monster and then realizes what Playmaker is doing and protests that it's cool). The effect of "Widget Kid" activates and Special Summons a Cyberse monster from Playmaker's hand, and he Special Summons "Cyberse Synchron" in Defense Position. Playmaker then activates the effect of "Cyberse Synchron", and its ports glow blue as Playmaker explains that it will increase the Level of a Level 4 or lower monster by its original Level until the end of the turn. "Widget Kid" rises to Level 6, and Playmaker tunes the Level 1 "Cyberse Synchron" with the Level 6 "Widget Kid", the lines on his suit glowing light green. Ai tries to count the Levels and comes up with eight (five in the dub), but Playmaker Synchro Summons the Level 7 "Cyberse Quantum Dragon". Ai stamps his foot in anger, protesting that Playmaker didn't fall for his trick, but he claims that he knew that Playmaker would Summon "Quantum", as he has to use its effect to do something about "The Arrival" (in the dub he claims Playmaker would have been disqualified, but then admits he's not sure if that's how it works). Playmaker declares battle, and "Quantum Dragon" attacks "The Arrival", concentrating blue-black energy in its maw and then unleashing it in a stream. Playmaker then activates the effect of "Quantum Dragon", returning the monster it battles to the hand and then allowing it to attack again.

Unaffected by the effect of "Cyberse Quantum Dragon", "The Arrival" prepares to counterattack.

Ai ecstatically cheers that he's happy that Playmaker is fighting him seriously, but he isn't serious enough and he knew Playmaker would try this from the start (in the dub he claims "The Arrival" can't leave, otherwise its name wouldn't make any sense). He explains that the effect of "The Arrival" prevents it from being affected by other cards' effects while it has a counter on it, and Playmaker can only wordlessly gape in shock. Ai declares that "The Arrival" doesn't return to his hand, and he tells Playmaker that it's too bad; it's striking back and the attack won't stop. "The Arrival" conjures crimson energy spheres in each hand and then it blasts them in a wave from its palms, connecting with the energy stream of "Quantum Dragon" and blowing it away. Ai yells that he's won, and Playmaker grits his teeth as the attack approaches him.

Featured Duel: Playmaker vs AiEdit

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Playmaker has 4000 LP and controls "Cynet Optimization" and "Code Hack" in his Spell & Trap Zones. Ai has 4000 LP and controls "Dark Templar @Ignister" (2300/↙↓↘) in the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side, and "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" (2300/←↓→) in his Main Monster Zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Dark Templar" points to, as well as "Ignister A.I.Land" in his Field Zone, and 1 Set card, "CompromA.I.se", and "Judgment Arrows" (↖↑↗) in his Spell & Trap Zones (with "Judgment Arrows" being in his middle-most zone, with its top-center Link Arrow pointing to "Fire Phoenix").

Turn 3: Playmaker
Playmaker activates the Spell "Cynet Closure", banishing a card from his Deck face-down. When Playmaker's Link Monster destroys Ai's Link Monster by battle, that card is returned to the GY. Playmaker banishes an unknown card. Playmaker Normal Summons "Flame Bufferlo" (1400/200). Playmaker activates the second effect of "Cynet Optimization". Immediately after the effect of "Cynet Optimization" resolves, Playmaker Normal Summons a Cyberse monster but he cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters. The effect of "Cynet Optimization" resolves, and Playmaker Normal Summons "Formud Skipper" (0/0). Playmaker sets "Flame Bufferlo" and "Formud Skipper" (2 Cyberse monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Cyberse Witch" (800/↙↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Formud Skipper" was sent to the GY as Link Material, Playmaker activates its effect, adding a Level 5 or higher Cyberse monster from his Deck to his hand. He adds the Level 7 "Degrade Buster" to his hand. As the face-up "Flame Bufferlo" left the field, Playmaker activates its effect, discarding a Cyberse monster, then drawing two cards. He discards "Dotscaper", and draws two cards. As "Dotscaper" was sent to the GY, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning it (0/2100). He Special Summons it in Defense Position to a zone "Cyberse Witch" points to. As a monster was Special Summoned to a zone "Cyberse Witch" points to, Playmaker activates its effect, banishing a Spell from his GY to add "Cynet Ritual" and a Cyberse Ritual Monster from his Deck to his hand. He banishes "Cynet Closure" and adds "Cyberse Magician" and "Cynet Ritual" to his hand. Playmaker banishes two Cyberse monsters ("Garbage Collector" and "Flame Bufferlo") from his GY to Special Summon "Degrade Buster" (2500/2500) from his hand by its own effect, in Attack Position.

Playmaker activates the Ritual Spell "Cynet Ritual", Ritual Summoning a Cyberse Ritual Monster by Tributing monsters from his hand or field, whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of that Ritual Monster. He Tributes the Level 7 "Degrade Buster" to Ritual Summon the Level 7 "Cyberse Magician" (2500/2000), in Attack Position. As the first effect of "Cyberse Witch" was activated this turn, Playmaker activates its second effect, targeting a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster in his GY and Special Summoning it. He targets and Special Summons the Level 4 "Clock Wyvern" (1800/1000) in Attack Position. As "Clock Wyvern" was Normal or Special Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, halving its ATK ("Clock Wyvern": 1800 → 900 ATK), then Special Summoning a "Clock Token" (0/0). He Special Summons it to the zone "Cyberse Witch" points to, in Defense Position. As a monster was Normal or Special Summoned to a zone a Link Monster points to, Playmaker activates the effect of "Sea Archiver" in his GY, Special Summoning it (300/2100), but it is banished when it leaves the field. Playmaker sets "Cyberse Witch" and a "Clock Token" (2 Cyberse monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Clock Spartoi" (800/↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Clock Spartoi" was Link Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, adding "Cynet Fusion" from his Deck to his hand. Playmaker sets "Sea Archiver", "Clock Wyvern", and "Dotscaper" (2+ Effect Monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-3 "Transcode Talker" (2300/↑→↓) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Clock Spartoi" points to, so that they are co-linked. While "Transcode Talker" is co-linked, it and its co-linked monsters gain 500 ATK, also Ai cannot target any of them with card effects ("Transcode Talker": 2300 → 2800 ATK, "Clock Spartoi": 800 → 1300 ATK). As a monster was Special Summoned to a zone "Clock Spartoi" points to, Playmaker activates its effect, targeting a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster in his GY and Special Summoning it, but its effects are negated, also Playmaker cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Fusion Monsters. He targets and Special Summons the Level 4 "Clock Wyvern" (1800/1000) in Attack Position. Playmaker activates the effect of "Transcode Talker", targeting a Link-3 or lower Cyberse Link Monster in his GY, except "Transcode Talker" and Special Summoning it to his zone "Transcode Talker" points to, but Playmaker cannot Special Summon monsters the turn he activates this effect, except Cyberse monsters. He targets and Special Summons the Link-3 "Decode Talker" (2300/↙↑↘) to the zone the middle-right Link Arrow of "Transcode Talker" points to.

Playmaker activates the Spell "Cynet Fusion", Fusion Summoning a Cyberse Fusion Monster from his Extra Deck using monsters from his hand or field as Fusion Materials. He fuses "Clock Wyvern", and the Link Monsters "Decode Talker", and "Clock Spartoi" to Fusion Summon "Cyberse Clock Dragon" (2500/2000) to the Extra Monster Zone in Attack Position ("Transcode Talker": 2800 → 2300 ATK). As "Cyberse Clock Dragon" was Fusion Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, sending cards from the top of his Deck to the GY equal to the total Link Rating of the Link Monsters used to Fusion Summon it, then until the end of the next turn other monsters Playmaker controls cannot attack, also "Cyberse Clock Dragon" gains 1000 ATK for each card sent to the GY by this effect. The combined Link Rating of the Link-3 "Decode Talker" and the Link-2 "Clock Spartoi" is five, so Playmaker sends the top five cards of his deck ("Bitrooper", "Limit Code", "Cynet Backdoor", "Cynet Universe", and "Overfloater") to the GY ("Cyberse Clock Dragon": 2500 → 7500 ATK). "Cyberse Clock Dragon" attacks "Fire Phoenix @Ignister". As Playmaker's monster declared an attack, Ai activates his Set Trap "A.I.'s Show", targeting the attacking monster and Special Summoning any number of non-Link Cyberse monsters with 2300 ATK from his Extra Deck, whose total ATK is less than or equal to the targeted monster's ATK, to his zones a Link Monster points to, then he ends the Battle Phase. He targets the 7500 ATK "Cyberse Clock Dragon" and Special Summons "Earth Golem @Ignister" (2300/2000) and "Wind Pegasus @Ignister" (2300/1500) to the zones the bottom-right and bottom-center Link Arrows of "Dark Templar @Ignister" point to respectively, and "Light Dragon @Ignister" (2300/1500) to the zone the middle-left Link Arrow of "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" points to, all in Attack Position, then ends the Battle Phase.

Turn 4: Ai
Ai activates the Spell "A.I. Contact", targeting a card in the Field Zone and shuffling a card with the same name as that card from his hand into the Deck, then drawing three cards. He targets "Ignister A.I.Land", shuffles the second copy of "Ignister A.I.Land" into the Deck, then draws three cards. Ai activates the effect of "Wind Pegasus @Ignister", targeting Spells/Traps Playmaker controls, up to the number of "@Ignister" monsters he controls, and destroying them. He controls five "@Ignister" monsters, so he targets and destroys "Code Hack" and "Cynet Optimization". Ai Normal Summons "Hiyari @Ignister". Ai activates the effect of "Hiyari @Ignister", Tributing another "@Ignister" monster to add "A.I.'s Ritual" from his Deck to his hand, then if Ai Tributed a Link Monster to activate this effect he can also add an "@Ignister" Ritual Monster from his Deck to his hand, then increase the Level of "Hiyari" by the Tributed monster's Link Rating until the end of this turn. He Tributes the Link-3 "Fire Phoenix @Ignister", adds "A.I.'s Ritual" to his hand, then adds "Water Leviathan @Ignister", then increases the Level of "Hiyari @Ignister" by three ("Hiyari @Ignister": Level 1 → 4). Ai activates the Ritual Spell "A.I.'s Ritual", Ritual Summoning an "@Ignister" Ritual Monster by Tributing "@Ignister" monsters from his hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of that Ritual Monster. If Ai controls a WATER "@Ignister" monster at activation, he can also banish "@Ignister" monsters from his GY. Ai controls the WATER "Hiyari @Ignister", so he Tributes the Level 4 "Hiyari @Ignister" and banishes the Level 4 "Pikari @Ignister" to Ritual Summon the Level 7 "Water Leviathan @Ignister" (2300/2000) in Attack Position. As "Water Leviathan" was Ritual Summoned, Ai activates its effect, returning to the hand all monsters Playmaker controls whose original ATK are 2300 or less. The original ATK of "Transcode Talker" is 2300, so it is returned to Playmaker's Extra Deck.

"Water Leviathan @Ignister" attacks "Cyberse Magician". If "Water Leviathan @Ignister" battles Playmaker's monster, its effect halves that monster's ATK during damage calculation only ("Cyberse Magician": 2500 → 1250 ATK). The effect of "Cyberse Magician" halves any damage Playmaker takes. The attack continues and "Cyberse Magician" is destroyed (Playmaker: 4000 → 3475 LP). As another "@Ignister" monster inflicted battle damage to Playmaker, Ai activates the effect of "Light Dragon @Ignister", targeting an "@Ignister" Link Monster in his GY and Special Summoning it. He targets and Special Summons "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" (2300/←↓→) to the zone the top-center Link Arrow of "Judgment Arrows" points to. "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" attacks "Cyberse Clock Dragon". As Ai's monster declared an attack while he controls more monsters than Playmaker does, Playmaker activates the effect of "Overfloater" in his GY, banishing it, then targeting that attacking monster to negate the effects of all monsters Ai controls with original ATK less than or equal to the targeted monster's original ATK. He targets "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" with 2300 original ATK (the highest he controls), and negates the effects of all monsters Ai controls. If a Link Monster "Judgment Arrows points to battles, its ATK is doubled during damage calculation only ("Fire Phoenix @Ignister": 2300 → 4600 ATK). The attack continues and "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" is destroyed (Ai: 4000 → 1100 LP). Ai activates the Spell "FA.I.ghting Spirit", targeting an "@Ignister" monster in his GY and Special Summoning it, but its effects are negated. He targets and Special Summons "Fire Phoenix @Ignister".

Ai sets the FIRE "Fire Phoenix @Ignister", the WATER "Water Leviathan @Ignister", the EARTH "Earth Golem @Ignister", the WIND "Wind Pegasus @Ignister", the LIGHT "Light Dragon @Ignister", and the DARK "Dark Templar @Ignister" (2+ monsters with 1500 or more ATK that have different Attributes) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-6 "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" (?/↑←↙↓↘→) to the zone the top-right Link Arrow of "Judgment Arrows" points to. The effect of "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" makes its original ATK become 1000 times the number of Link Materials used for its Link Summon. Six monsters were used for its Link Summon ("The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister": ? → 6000 ATK). The effect of "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" increases its ATK by 1000 for each card Ai controls. Ai controls four cards ("The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister", "Ignister A.I.Land", "Judgment Arrows", and "CompromA.I.se") ("The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister": 6000 → 10000 ATK). Ai activates the effect of "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister", placing a counter on it ("The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister": 0 → 1 counter). Ai activates the effect of "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister", targeting a monster on the field and destroying it, then Special Summoning an "@Ignister Token" to his zone "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" points to. He targets and destroys "Cyberse Clock Dragon", then Special Summons an "@Ignister Token" (0/0) in Defense Position ("The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister": 10000 → 11000 ATK). As the Fusion Summoned "Cyberse Clock Dragon" Playmaker controls was sent to his GY by Ai's card effect, Playmaker activates its effect, adding a Spell from his Deck to his hand. Ai sets a "@Ignister Token" (1 Normal Monster) in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Darkwight @Ignister" (0/↓) to the Extra Monster Zone so that it is co-linked with "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister". The effect of "Darkwight @Ignister" prevents Playmaker's monsters from targeting the linked "Darkwight @Ignister" for attacks.

Turn 5: Playmaker
Playmaker Normal Summons "Cyberse Gadget" (1400/300). As "Cyberse Gadget" was Normal Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, targeting a Level 2 or lower monster in his GY and Special Summoning it in Defense Position, but its effects are negated. Playmaker targets and Special Summons the Level 1 "Formud Skipper" (0/0) in Defense Position. Playmaker sets "Cyberse Gadget" and "Formud Skipper" (2 Cyberse monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Cyberse Wicckid" (800/↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Formud Skipper" was sent to the GY as Link Material, Playmaker activates its effect, adding a Level 5 or higher Cyberse monster from his Deck to his hand. He adds an unknown card. As "Cyberse Gadget" was sent from the field to the GY, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a "Gadget Token" (0/0) in Defense Position. He Special Summons it to a zone "Cyberse Wicckid" points to. As a monster was Special Summoned to a zone "Cyberse Wicckid" points to, Playmaker activates its effect, banishing a Cyberse monster from his GY to add a Cyberse Tuner from his Deck to his hand. He banishes "Dotscaper" to add "Cyberse Synchron" from his Deck to his hand. As "Dotscaper" was banished, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning it (0/2100) in Defense Position. Playmaker sets "Cyberse Wicckid" and "Dotscaper" (2 Cyberse monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Exslayer" (1000/↙↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. As Playmaker Link Summoned, he activates the effect of "Parallel eXceed" in his hand, Special Summoning it (2000/2000) in Defense Position to his zone that Link Monster points to. As "Parallel eXceed" was Special Summoned by the effect of "Parallel eXceed", its Level becomes 4, also its original ATK/DEF become halved ("Parallel eXceed": Level 8 → 4, 2000/2000 → 1000/1000). As "Parallel eXceed" was Normal or Special Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a second copy of "Parallel eXceed" from his Deck in Defense Position (Level 8 → 4, 2000/2000 → 1000/1000).

Playmaker overlays the two copies of the Level 4 "Parallel eXceed" to Xyz Summon the Rank 4 "Firewall eXceed Dragon" (2500/2000, 2 ORU) in Attack Position to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Exslayer" points to. The effect of the Xyz Summoned "Firewall eXceed Dragon" increases its ATK by 500 times the total Link Rating of Link Monsters linked to this card. "Firewall eXceed Dragon" is linked to the Link-2 "Exslayer" ("Firewall eXceed Dragon": 2500 → 3500 ATK). As a monster was Xyz Summoned to a zone "Exslayer" points to, Playmaker activates its effect, Tributing a monster to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from his hand. He Tributes a "Gadget Token" to Special Summon the Level 3 "Widget Kid" (1500/900) from his hand. As "Widget Kid" was Normal or Special Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a Cyberse monster from his hand in Defense Position. He Special Summons "Cyberse Synchron" (100/100) from his hand, in Defense Position. Playmaker activates the effect of "Cyberse Synchron", targeting a Level 4 or lower monster he control and increasing its Level by its original Level until the end of this turn. He targets the Level 3 "Widget Kid" ("Widget Kid": Level 3 → 6).

Playmaker tunes the Level 1 Tuner "Cyberse Synchron" with the Level 6 "Widget Kid" to Synchro Summon the Level 7 "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" (2500/2000) in Attack Position to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Exslayer" points to. "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" attacks "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister". At the start of the Damage Step, as "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" is battling Ai's monster, Playmaker activates its effect, returning Ai's monster to the hand, also, "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" can make a second attack in a row. While "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" has a counter, its effect makes it unaffected by other cards' effects. The effect of "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" resolves and "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" is not returned.

Duel continues in the next episode.
