SummaryEdit

As they procede their Duel, Yuma learns about Tokunosuke's past. In the aftermath, Yuma's ability of making people change grants him a brand new ally.

Featured Duel: Yuma Tsukumo vs. Tokunosuke HyoriEdit

Duel continues from the previous Rank.

Turn 3: Tokunosuke
Tokunosuke attacks and destroys "Gagaga Magician" with "No. 39: Utopia" (Yuma 4000 → 3000). He then Sets a monster.

Turn 4: Yuma
Yuma Normal Summons "Rai Rider" (1200/1400) in Attack Position and activates "Monster Reborn", Special Summoning "Gagaga Magician" (1500/1000) from his Graveyard. He then activates the effect of "Gagaga Magician", changing its Level to 3 until the End Phase. Yuma overlays his two Level 3 monsters to Xyz Summon "No. 17: Leviathan Dragon" (2000/0) in Attack Position, but Tokunosuke activates his face-down "Mistrust", gaining control of the "Leviathan Dragon", as it was Special Summoned. Yuma switches "Baby Tragon" to Defense Position.

Turn 5: Tokunosuke
Tokunosuke activates the effect of "Leviathan Dragon", detaching an Xyz Material to increase its ATK by 500 (2000 → 2500). He Flip Summons "Urangutan" (800/1600). Its Flip Effect activates, switching "Baby Tragon" to Attack Position. "Leviathan Dragon" attacks "Baby Tragon", but Yuma activates his face-down card "Half Unbreak", preventing "Baby Tragon" from being destroyed by battle this turn and halving any battle damage from battles involving it (Yuma 3000 → 2200). "Utopia" attacks "Baby Tragon" (Yuma 2200 → 1400).

Turn 6: Yuma
Yuma Normal Summons "Needle Swordsman" (300/600) in Attack Position. He then activates the effect of "Baby Tragon", detaching an Overlay Unit to allow the Level 1 "Needle Swordsman" to attack directly (Tokunosuke 4000 → 3700). As it successfully attacked directly, its effect activates, returning all cards in Tokunosuke's Spell & Trap Card Zone to his hand. Since "Ultra C" and "Mistrust" have been removed from the field, "Utopia" and "Leviathan Dragon" are returned to Yuma's side of the field. "Leviathan Dragon" attacks "Urangutan", (Flip 3700 → 2000) while "Utopia" attacks directly. (Tokunosuke 2000 → 0)

TriviaEdit

  • The events of this Duel are combined with both those of the anime (episodes 5 and 6), and episodes 3 and 4, where Yuma Duels Mr. Kay. In both this Rank and that Duel, Astral uses reverse pyschology to get Yuma to make the correct moves.
