The Card Rulings section of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki documents specific rules associated with a particular card or group of cards.

The section is considered fragile as it is prone to incorrect material and follows a strict set of guidlines. As such users must have a registered account in order to edit the Card Rulings namespace.

In general all rulings must come from an official source and should ideally reference where the rulings comes from.

If you have a Ruling question, which you cannot resolve by reading the card's Rulings, there is a forum, where such questions may be asked.

Acceptable rulings

TCG

TCG Rulings are rulings which apply to cards from the English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish versions of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. They often but may not necessarily correspond to "OCG" cards.

Any TCG rulings submitted must be officially issued by Konami. These rulings can be accessed via the gameplay section on Konami's TCG site; yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay.

TCG rulings for older sets were posted on Upper Deck Entertainment's site, which no longer exists, since Konami took full control of the TCG. They may be accessed from other reliable sites, which unoficially documented the rulings.

Other acceptable reference sites include:

Mentions in other Rulings

If the card in question is mentioned in the rulings of another card, that ruling may be copied and pasted into the card's rulings page, under the section ===Mentions in other Rulings===. A link back the card whose rulings it belongs to should also be included.

Semi-official

Semi-official rulings include TCG rulings issued by Konami or Upper Deck Entertainment outside the rulings section of their site. Such rulings may be included, provided they are sourced.

OCG

OCG Rulings are rulings which apply to cards from the Japanese, Asian-English, Korean versions of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game/Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game. They often but may not necessarily correspond to "TCG" cards.

OCG rulings may be found in the FAQ section of Konami's Japanese OCG site; yugioh.faq.konami.jp.

They should be translated accurately and use names and terminology from the English language version of the game.

Semi-official

Semi-official rulings include OCG rulings issued by Konami outside the rulings section of their site. Such rulings may be included, provided they are sourced.

Unacceptable rulings

Rulings users make themselves are not to be included, even if they are correct. Allowing for such rulings would inevitabely result in users posting incorrect rulings, which they think are correct.

Unofficial rulings

Unofficial rulings are generally never accepted. However exceptions may be made in extreme cases.
