"C", known as G (ジー for "Gokiburi" (ゴキブリ), meaning "Cockroach") in Japanese, is a series of Insect EARTH Monster Cards with different Levels whose effects rely on the opponent Special Summoning a monster(s). Many of their effects are also designed to impede various methods of Special Summoning, such as Synchro Summons and Xyz Summons.

The "C" in their English names stands for Cockroach, and their artworks feature cockroaches (whose eyes are denoted by sparkles) within common household locations that they can inhabit; this is made clear by the sprite used for the character "Shiny Black "C"" in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia.

The Monster Cards are based on the characteristics of the smokybrown cockroach, a common pest in Japan known for its shiny, black-colored body - the card artworks in the series feature Japanese-style living arrangements, and the cockroaches are adept flyers known to invade these homes en-masse. The border of each card artwork also features an ominous-looking, darkened foreground. The artwork of later cards in the series depict a man trying to deal with the cockroaches, only for the roaches to scare him and even climb up his arm.
