Alexis Rhodes is a Duelist Construct of Alexis Rhodes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series in the Virtual Dueling System. She is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 8-4 of the GX Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat her in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance

As a Duelist Construct, her appearance is based on Alexis Rhodes, and the outfit is what she normally wore during her time at Duel Academy in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series. In Duel Academy, there are three uniforms that the student can wears and these uniforms are assigned to the students according to their academic placement. Alexis is wearing a Obelisk Blue uniform, and according to Duel Academy regulation, she is either a top-level Duelist, or a wealthy person who have connections with the elite. In the GX anime series, she is shown to be a top-level Duelist rather than a wealthy person who have connections with the elite.

Etymology

Her given name "Alexis" means "helper" or "defender" in Greek. Her surname "Rhodes" is derived from the Old English rod, meaning "cleared land", or from the many locations named after that word. Her surname "Rhodes" could also be a reference to Rhodes Scholarship.

In the French version, her given name is "Alexia", and it is a feminine form of the Greek name "Alexius" and/or "Alexis". The name "Alexia" carries the same meaning as "Alexis" ("helper" or "defender") since it is one of the many alternate spelling variations.

Rewards

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
