|Black-Winged Dragon (character)|
Black-Winged Dragon is an amphiptere, a type of dragon whose only limbs are its wings. Black-Winged Dragon has a strong bird motif, with feathers covering most of its body and wings, and a yellow-scaled head that resembles a bird's beak. Its orange eyes are in the crook of the scales; red spots in its feathers mimic eyes, giving the illusion of a bird-like head. Black-Winged Dragon has an armored chestplate with a charcoal strip running down its neck and belly, the rest of its armor and its shoulder pads are black. It has Y-shaped wings with several long white feathers and black feathers; as it loses ATK from its effect, these white portions turn red, which is referred to as "turning black" within the series. Instead of limbs, Black-Winged Dragon has six talon-like blades along its torso. Its tail fans out into black feathers, with three long grey feathers extending from the bunched feathers.
Crow wagered the card in a Duel against Bolton while investigating Pearson's death, despite not having the card or knowing where it is. During the Duel, Crow's Mark of the Dragon lit up and he found the card in a hidden compartment. Crow used the dragon to win the Duel and has kept its card since.
