Braun is a short round-faced boy with green hair, blue eyes and freckles. He commonly wears a spacesuit, often with the visor down, with the emblem of his club on the shoulder.

Personality[edit]

Braun believes Dueling and life to be akin to a spaceflight, constantly quoting media that is associated with space and likening the moves that he makes in a Duel to different stages of a rocket launch. He demonstrates significant arrogance as a result, claiming to have sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the power to go to space and justifying many of his actions with one of his quotes.

Later, Braun is calmer and more helpful, offering his aid to Yuga Ohdo when asked to examine the surface of the moon and alerting him when the Super Rush Robot is in trouble, as well as lending Kaizo a pair of Hubbel Space Binoculars.

Etymology[edit]

Braun's surname means "bookstore". His first name comes from Wernher von Braun, a German-born American aerospace engineer and space architect who was a pioneer of rocket and space technology in the United States.

Biography[edit]

History[edit]

Booster, Lionel, and Valencia observed Asana Mutsuba creating "Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco" using their Hubbel Space Binoculars, and became resolved to obtain their own Maximum Monsters.[1]

Team Battle Royal[edit]

Booster, Lionel, and Valencia went to Maximum Mountain to search for their own Maximum Monsters, stringing up lights in the mineshaft at the Abandoned Dorm and meeting Lucidien "Luke" Kallister, Tracker, and the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club, who held jurisdiction over the mine. Booster challenged Asana to a Rush Duel for the right to excavate in the mine, but Asana told him he would be Dueling Luke instead, a condition that Booster accepted. After Luke inflicted early damage to him using "Nightbringer Dragon", Booster Summoned "Rocketortoise Modularchelon" and steadily weakened "Nightbringer Dragon" in both Level and ATK to inflict as much damage to Luke as he could, depleting most of his LP in one attack. On his next turn, Luke Summoned "Gravity Plus Dragon", but hesitated to make his move for a while until voicing a notion that Yuga Ohdo had been trying to tell him something, a notion that confused Booster. Luke then Summoned two Dragon Type Normal Monsters to empower "Gravity Plus Dragon" and ascended into "Outer Space" with "Mountain", allowing him to destroy "Rocketortoise Modularchelon" and defeat Booster with his remaining Dragons. Although Booster had lost, Luke allowed him and his friends to join him in excavating Maximum Mountain as thanks for helping him realize something during their Duel, though they found no Maximum Monsters.[1]

Booster, Lionel and Valencia entered the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal, meeting at Goha Stadium for registration.[2] On the first day of the tournament, Booster Dueled Kabuto Bito from his school's Battle Bug Club.[3] At the end of the second day of the tournament, Booster Dueled Nail Saionji of Team YNR and was defeated by "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor", admitting that Nail had deserved his victory. Booster then watched as Pidgetrap delivered a message to Yuga.[4] Yuga asked Booster, Lionel and Valencia to examine the moon with their Hubbel Space Binoculars, explaining that he believed whoever had set up the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal was trying to divert everyone's attention to Maximum Mountain, and Nail gave Booster, Lionel, and Valencia a program to analyze the moon's surface.[5]

The next day, Booster, Lionel and Valencia attended the finals, watching Roa and Romin Kassidy's Duel and Nail's with Gavin Sogetsu.[6][7] During Yuga's Duel with Luke, Booster, Lionel and Valencia finished examining the moon and they presented their findings to Yuga as the power began to go out due to someone hacking the Goha Duel Server. Booster revealed the server was actually carved into the surface of the moon, including the Rush Duel program in the shape of a robot, and his footage revealed that the "hack" was hundreds of Goha Enterprises Drones eroding the robot to "uninstall" Rush Dueling.[5] Yuga and Luke decided to continue their Duel despite knowing it would uninstall Rush Dueling, and Luke eventually defeated Yuga. Booster projected the blank surface after the robot was destroyed, and then presented the new Super Rush Robot that Yuga and Nail had constructed to house the Rush Duel program, which would be stronger than its prior form.[8]

Goha 6 Siblings[edit]

Booster, Lionel and Valencia were looking at the moon with their Hubbel Space Binoculars one day when they saw the Super Rush Robot moving. Booster quickly called Yuga and alerted him to the robot's actions. The true Goha Presidents, the Goha Six, had returned to Earth, evicted the current president, Mimi Imimi, and challenged Yuga and his friends to Rush Duels with the Super Rush Robot held hostage by Forcersizers that would shake it apart unless Yuga defeated the six siblings.[9] Booster was in Goha City one night with Lionel, Valencia, Saburamen, Sushiko, Briscoe and the Duel Dinosaur Club when he watched the Rush Duel between Yuga and The Lukeman, including Yuo Goha's rage after he believed Yuga and The Lukeman weren't taking the Duel seriously. To Booster's shock a meteor entered the atmosphere and plunged towards Yuga, having been dragged in by the Goha Meteor Shower, and Yuga blocked the meteor with his Duel Disk, acquiring the "Fusion" card contained within it and using it to defeat The Lukeman, saving the Super Rush Robot.[10]

Goha Employee[edit]

Booster, Alec and Valencia went to the Goha Enterprises Main Office on a field trip, where they were met by Yuga, Luke, Romin, Gavin, Swirls and Rayne and Rino Nanahoshi, who were now working at Goha Enterprises. As they were shown around they learned that one of the groups had gone missing, and Booster noted it was likely the Battle Bug Club.[11]

Deck[edit]

Booster uses a Reptile Deck comprised of spacecraft-turtle hybrids. He uses many card effects to inflict large amounts of damage with "Rocketortoise Modularchelon" in a single attack.
