  • This card appears in the openings "Masterpiece", "BRAVING!" and "Soul Drive".
  • In episode 1, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Bronk Stone. He overlays this card with "Skull Kraken" in order to Xyz Summon "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark". Later Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma Tsukumo. After he Normal Summons this card, Shark activates "Aqua Jet" to increase this card's ATK by 1000 until the End Phase. This card then attacks and destroys "Zubaba Knight". Later "Gagaga Magician" (whose ATK was 2000 due to "Wonder Wand") attacks this card, but Shark activates "Zeus' Breath" to negate the attack and inflict 800 damage to Yuma. Later Shark overlays this card with "Skull Kraken" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon". In the next episode, Shark detaches this card in order to activate the effect of "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon". Later Shark revives this card via "Surface". He then Tributes this card in order to Tribute Summon "Jawsman".
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Astral's thoughts when he explains in detail to Yuma about the "Numbers" and how they work.
  • In episode 3, this card appears in a flashback Astral has when he notes even though his memories have been trapped in 99 different "Numbers" and then scattered, his memories won't return until he gathers them all.
  • In episode 10, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Special Summons this card via "Fish Rain". Later Shark overlays this card with "Skull Kraken" in order to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer".
  • In episode 11, Shark uses this card during his Tag Duel with Yuma against Scorch and Chills. After he Normal Summons this card, Shark Special Summons "Shark Stickers" via its own effect. He then overlays this card and "Shark Stickers" in order to Xyz Summon "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark". Shark then detaches this card in order to activate the effect of "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark". In the next episode, Shark revives this card via "Surface". He then overlays this card and "Needle Sunfish" in order to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer".
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Shark has when Scorch and Chills remind him he cheated in the National Championships by peeking at his opponent's Deck before the final round, which got him disqualified before he could have potentially won the Duel. Shark was shown using this card against his opponent, but aside from being on the field, this card played no part in the Duel until it was called off.
  • In episode 22, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Kite Tenjo. He sends this card from his hand to the Graveyard for the effect of "Shark Lair" to insure Kite could not attack with any monsters that had ATK less than this card's. Later Shark banishes this card and "Shocktopus" from his Graveyard in order to activate "Splash Capture".
  • In episode 25, this card appears in a flashback Kite has after he arrives at the Duel Square and wonders if the memories he's scanning here are Astral's memories.
  • In episode 26, this card appears in a flashback Quattro has when he reminds Shark of what got him disqualified in the National Championships.
  • In episode 33, this card appears in a flashback Yuma has when Caswell shows Quattro on his Duel Gazer and explains he is the Asian champion. Yuma and Astral realize at this point that Quattro was the one that Shark Dueled in the National Duel Circuit.
  • In episode 34, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Trey. He Special Summons this card via its own effect due to him activating "Falling Current" earlier in the turn. This card then gains 300 ATK due to "Sunken Kingdom". Shark then overlays this card and "Hammer Shark" (who was Level 3 via "Falling Current") in order to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer".
  • In episode 46, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Shark. This card attacks and destroys "Gagaga Magician". After "Hammer Shark" attacks directly, Shark overlays this card and "Hammer Shark" (who was Level 3 through unknown means) in order to Xyz Summon "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark".
  • In episode 53, Shark uses this card during the Duel Coaster Battle Royal against the Sultan of Spells. This card attacks and destroys "Unifrog", eliminating the Sultan of Spells.
  • In episode 57, this card appears in a flashback Shark has when he remembers he was framed by Quattro at the National Duel Circuit and Quattro also subsequently hurt his sister despite that she had nothing to do with their conflict.
  • In episode 62, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Shark has when Yuma tries to remind him of their previous Duels with each other.
  • In episode 85, Shark uses this card during the Battle Royal between Yuma, Shark, and Rio Kastle against the brainwashed students controlled by Girag. He uses this card to attack and destroy a Barian-brainwashed Duelist's "Inzektor Dragonfly", defeating him in the process.
  • In episode 91, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Rio. After he Normal Summons this card, Shark Special Summons "Shark Stickers" via its own effect. He then overlays this card and "Shark Stickers" in order to Xyz Summon "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark". This card is sent to the Graveyard at an unspecified point. After "Ice Beast Zerofyne" destroys "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark" in battle, Shark activates "Ghost Salvage" to revive this card, "Shark Stickers", and "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark". Shark then activates "Full Armored Xyz" to overlay this card and "Shark Stickers" in order to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer". After "Black Ray Lancer" is used for the Xyz Summon of "Shark Caesar", this card is sent to the Graveyard.
  • In episode 108, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Abyss while the latter was possessing Rio. After he Normal Summons this card, he Special Summons "Shark Stickers" via its own effect. He then overlays this card and "Shark Stickers" in order to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer". This card is sent to the Graveyard after "Black Ray Lancer" is destroyed by the effect of "Gorgonic Guardian".
  • In episode 114, this card appears in a flashback Shark has when he remembers the times where he and Rio lived at their old mansion. This card is shown as one of the many cards Shark got from his father.
  • In episode 115, Shark uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Quattro against Chironex. He Special Summons this card via its own effect as he activated "Edict of Atlantis". Through the effect of "Edict of Atlantis", Shark increases this card's Level by two. After Shark Normal Summons "Panther Shark" without Tributing via its own effect, Shark overlays this card and "Panther Shark" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 73: Abyss Splash".
  • In episode 137, during Nash's Duel against Vector, the latter banishes this card from Nash's Deck via the third effect of "Chaos Number 5: Chaos Chimera Dragon" in order to let the latter attack. At the end of the Battle Phase, Vector activates the fifth effect of "Chaos Chimera Dragon" to return the cards banished by this card's third effect to the top of Nash's Deck but Nash can't use those cards for the remainder of the Duel. Later Nash activates "Infinity Tooth" to send this card, "Zeus' Breath", "Skull Kraken", and "Surface" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard in order to draw a card.
  • In episode 143, Nash uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Special Summons this card via its own effect due to Nash activating "Xyz Treasure". After Nash Normal Summons "Skull Kraken", he overlays this card and "Skull Kraken" in order to Xyz Summon "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark". This card is sent to the Graveyard at an unspecified point.

  • In chapter 3, Shark Special Summons this card from his hand via the effect of "Hammer Shark". He then uses this card alongside "Hammer Shark" to Xyz Summon "Number 32: Shark Drake".
