- In episode 223, Yami Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Yugi Muto. In the next episode, Yugi activates the effect of "Gandora the Dragon of Destruction" to destroy and banish "Dark Magician", but Yami Yugi activates this card to render his "Dark Magician" immune to monster effects until the End Phase. As a result, the effect didn't destroy "Dark Magician". "Gandora" was then destroyed and sent to the Graveyard due to its last effect. This card's second effect then activates, allowing Yugi to draw one card.
