Season 1[edit]

  • In episode 11, Jaden Yuki uses this card during his Tag Duel with Syrus Truesdale against the Paradox Brothers. He summons this card via the effect of "Fusion Gate". Jaden then activates "Skyscraper". This card then attacks "Dark Guardian". Due to the effect of "Skyscraper", this card gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. Jaden then sends Syrus's set card to the Graveyard in order to prevent this card's destruction. However "Dark Guardian" wasn't destroyed due to its own effect. Dox then activates "One-on-One Fight" to force this card to battle and "Dark Guardian" to battle this turn. "Dark Guardian" then attacks this card, but Jaden sends "Skyscraper" to the Graveyard in order to prevent this card's destruction, however Jaden still takes Battle Damage from the attack. Later Syrus activates "Power Bond" to fuse this card with "UFOroid" in order to Fusion Summon "UFOroid Fighter".
  • In episode 30, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Nightshroud. He summons this card via the effect of "Fusion Gate". Jaden then uses this card to attack and destroy "Mirage Dragon". Later "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" (whose ATK was 4500 due to its own effect) attacks this card, but Jaden activates "Negate Attack" to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. Later Jaden switches this card to Defense Position. After Nightshroud activates "Mystical Space Typhoon" to destroy "Fusion Gate" and prevent Jaden from using this card's effect, "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 33, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Camula. He summons this card via "Polymerization". Camula then activates "Illusion Gate" to destroy all monsters Jaden controls and revive this card under her control. Camula then summons "Zombie Werewolf" and uses this card to attack directly. Before Camula can use "Zombie Werewolf" to attack directly and win the duel, Jaden activates "Cross Heart" to take control of this card. Jaden then uses this card to attack and destroy "Zombie Werewolf". The effect of "Zombie Werewolf" then activates, allowing Camula to Special Summon another "Zombie Werewolf" with 500 more ATK. Later Camula activates "Giant Trunade" to return Jaden's set card back to his hand so that he could not use this card's effect to save it from being destroyed by battle. Since "Insurance" was returned from the field to Jaden's hand, he gains 500 Life Points though Camula doesn't notice this yet. "Vampire Genesis" then attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 48, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Kagemaru. He summons this card via "Polymerization". Jaden then activates "Skyscraper". This card then attacks "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames" (whose ATK was 3000 due to its own effect). Due to the effect of "Skyscraper", this card gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. This card then destroys "Uria". Kagemaru then discards "Chain Burst" to revive "Uria". The ATK of "Uria" then became 4000 due to its effect. "Uria" then attacks this card. Due to the effect of "Skyscraper", this card gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. Jaden then sends his set "Transcendent Wings" to the Graveyard in order to prevent this card's destruction, however he still takes Battle Damage from the attack. Jaden then activates "H - Heated Heart" to increase this card's ATK by 500 until the End Phase and allow this card to inflict Piercing damage until the End Phase. This card then attacks "Uria". Due to the effect of "Skyscraper", this card gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. This card then destroys "Uria". On Jaden's End Phase, the effect of "H - Heated Heart" expires. Kagemaru then discards "Jar of Greed" to revive "Uria". Kagemaru then activates "Fallen Paradise", which destroys "Skyscraper". Kagemaru then sets three Spell Cards and sends them to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder". "Hamon" then attacks and destroys this card. The effect of "Hamon" then activates, inflicting 1000 damage to Jaden. In the next episode, this card is shown when Jaden was counting up the number of Elemental HERO monsters in his Graveyard for the effect of "Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman".

Season 2[edit]

  • In episode 53, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Aster Phoenix. He summons this card via "Polymerization". Jaden then uses this card to attack "Archlord Zerato". Jaden then sends his set "Hero Ring" to the Graveyard in order to prevent this card from being destroyed, so only "Archlord Zerato" is destroyed. Jaden then activates "De-Fusion" to return this card to the Extra Deck and Special Summon "Avian", "Sparkman", and "Bubbleman" from his Graveyard.
  • In episode 58, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Aster. He summons this card via "Polymerization". This card then attacks "Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer". "Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer" is not destroyed due to its own effect, but Aster still takes Battle Damage. Later "Elemental HERO Shining Phoenix Enforcer" (whose ATK was 3700 due to its own effect) attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 59, this card was briefly seen in the air after Jaden's loss to Aster Phoenix.
  • In episode 67, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he was explaining to his friends what he was doing while he was trying to get back to Duel Academy. This card is shown in Jaden's thoughts when he notes "Winged Kuriboh" is the only card he has that is still blank.
  • In episode 77, Jaden uses this card during his duel against T-Bone. He summons this card via "Polymerization". Jaden then equips this card with "Element Sword". This card then attacks "Granmarg the Rock Monarch" . Due to the effect of "Element Sword", this card gains 800 ATK during damage calculation only. This card then destroys "Granmarg". T-Bone then activates the effect of "Guidance to Ore" to Special Summon "Granmarg the Rock Monarch". Later "Element Sword" and T-Bone's "Guidance to Ore" are destroyed by the effect of "Blue Moon". A Homunculus Token is then summoned to both sides of the field. "Demiurge Ema" (whose ATK was 4900 due to its own effect) then attacks this card, but Jaden Tributes his Homunculus Token to prevent this card's destruction. With a Homunculus Token removed from the field, "Demiurge Ema" loses 800 ATK. The attack then hits "Tempest", but it is not destroyed due to its own effect, however Jaden still takes Battle Damage. On the last turn of the Duel, Jaden activates "De-Fusion" to return this card to the Extra Deck and Special Summon "Avian", "Sparkman", and "Bubbleman" from his Graveyard.

Season 3[edit]

  • In episode 105, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he notes that even though he lost to Aster when the latter used his real Deck, it gave him the chance to see the Neo-Spacians who later became his friends.
  • In episode 137, this card appears in a dream Syrus has at the beginning of the episode. Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Syrus. This card then attacks and destroys "Steam Gyroid", defeating Syrus.

Season 4[edit]

  • In the anime, Tempest's effect was that it could not be destroyed by battle if the controller sent a Spell or Trap card on their side of the field to the graveyard. It was not able to target other cards.
