Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL[edit]

Pre-World Duel Carnival[edit]

  • In episode 14, Kite uses this card during his Duel against Yuma Tsukumo. He Special Summons this card via its own effect by Tributing "Number 10: Illumiknight" and "Number 20: Giga-Brilliant" (whose ATK was 2100 through its own effect). Later "Number 39: Utopia" (whose ATK was 3500 due to "Blustering Winds") attacks this card, but Kite activates this card's effect to banish both cards and send the Overlay Units of "Utopia" to the Graveyard. At the end of the Battle Phase, both this banished card and "Utopia" are Special Summoned and this card gains 1000 ATK (500 for each Overlay Unit of "Utopia" that was sent to the Graveyard through its effect). Later this card attacks "Utopia", but while the latter wasn't destroyed due to this card not being a "Number", Yuma still took Battle Damage. Kite then activates "Photon Wind" to inflict 1000 damage to Yuma since this card inflicted Battle Damage, but failed to destroy "Utopia" in battle. Later "Utopia" attacks directly via "Cross Attack", but Kite activates "Lumenize" to negate the attack and increase this card's ATK by the ATK of "Utopia". After Kite prevents Yuma from activating his set "Mirror Mail" through the effect of "Photon Cerberus", he prepares to use this card to attack "Utopia", but Orbital 7 reveals to Kite his brother had collapsed, so Kite calls the Duel off so he could attend to his brother. Despite not losing the Duel, Yuma and Astral's spirits were broken as they were completely outmatched by Kite and almost lost everything.
    • This card also appear in Astral's explanation on "Mirror Mail" and the strategy he had in mind for it. Yuma realizes that once "Mirror Mail" makes the ATK of "Utopia" the same as this card's when it attacks, only this card would be destroyed as "Numbers" can only be destroyed by "Numbers".
  • In episode 15, this card appears in a flashback Astral has when he notes he would have completely lost everything in Yuma's Duel against Kite had the Duel not been called off.
  • In episode 17, this card is shown in a flashback Astral has when Yuma tells him he can't tell his friends that he almost lost to Kite.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Astral has when he asks if Yuma can actually defeat Kite due to his strategies and strength.

    • This card also appears in a flashback Astral has when Kite asks him if he was afraid of his set card or this card.
  • In episode 24, Kite uses this card during his Duel against Astral. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Photon Leo" (who counts as two Tributes due to "Photon Spear"). This card then attacks "Number 39: Utopia". Kite activates this card's effect to banish both cards and send the Overlay Units of "Utopia" to the Graveyard. At the end of the Battle Phase, both this banished card and "Utopia" are Special Summoned and this card gains 1000 ATK (500 for each Overlay Unit of "Utopia" that was sent to the Graveyard through its effect). On Kite's next turn, this card attacks "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray", but Astral activates "Clean Barrier - Clear Force" to make this card's ATK become its original ATK and prevent any ATK-changing effects from activating during the Battle Phase. While "Utopia Ray" was not destroyed due to this card not being a "Number", Astral still took damage. At the end of the Battle Phase, the effect of "Clear Barrier - Clear Force" expires. After Astral and Yuma perform ZEXAL Morph and Yuma equips "Utopia Ray" with "ZW - Unicorn Spear" via its own effect, "Utopia Ray" (whose ATK was 4400 via the effect of "Unicorn Spear") attacks this card. Due to the effect of "Unicorn Spear", this card's effects are negated during the Battle Phase only, which returns this card's ATK to its original value and prevents Kite from using this card's effect to avoid the attack. Kite then activates "Photon Shock" to make Yuma take the same amount of Battle Damage he takes. "Utopia Ray" then destroys this card, ending the Duel in a draw (before both players' Life Points hit 0, Kite was greatly devastated when this card was destroyed).
    • This card also appears in a flashback Astral has when he notes that Kite needs two monsters with at least 2000 ATK to summon this card.
  • In episode 25, this card appears in a flashback Yuma has when he notes to Astral Kite was responsible for the shocking incidents involving the soulless people.
    • This card also appears in the recap for the previous episode.

    • This card also appears in a flashback Yuma has when he recognizes the street where he first Dueled Kite.

This card then attacks "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder", but Trey activates "Stonehenge Shield" to negate the attack, reduce this card's ATK to 0, and negate its effects. Trey then activates the effect of "Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech" to inflict damage to Kite equal to the difference between this card's original ATK and current ATK. In the next episode, Yuma activates "Courageous Heart" to negate the effect of "Chronomaly Machu Mech". Later "Chronomaly Machu Mech" (whose ATK was 3200 via "Chronomaly Pyramid Eye Tablet") attacks this card, but Kite activates "Battle Simulation" to halve both battling monsters' ATK until the end of the Battle Phase and prevent both monsters from being destroyed in battle. Later "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings" attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Trap Reborn" to activate the effect of "Battle Simulation" from Kite's Graveyard in order to halve both battling monsters' ATK and prevent both monsters from being destroyed in battle. After the Battle Phase ends, Quattro activates the effect of "Gimmick Puppet of Strings" to place a String Counter on all other monsters on the field (Quattro intends for the effect of "Gimmick Puppet of Strings" to destroy this card and "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray" and inflict their ATK as damage to their respective owners since "Chronomaly Machu Mech" was protected by "Number Wall"). On the last turn of the Duel, Kite overlays this card and "Photon Caesar" (who counts as two monsters for the Xyz Summon through its own effect) in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".

In the next episode, "Dyson Sphere" attacks directly via its own effect, but Kite activates "Lumenize" to negate the attack and increase this card's ATK by the ATK of "Dyson Sphere", however Quinton activates "Space Gate" to negate and destroy "Lumenize". The direct attack continues. Later this card attacks "Dyson Sphere" (while the latter had no Overlay Units and its first effect negated by "Overlay Break"), but Quinton activates the third effect of "Dyson Sphere" to attach "Planet Pathfinder" and "Solar Wind Jammer" to "Dyson Sphere" from the Graveyard as Overlay Units. Quinton then activates the second effect of "Dyson Sphere" to negate the attack. Later "Dyson Sphere" (whose ATK was 3200 via "Gravity Blaster") attacks this card. Due to the second effect of "Gravity Blaster", this card's effects are negated. "Dyson Sphere" then destroys this card, but Kite activates "Mirror Shade" to reduce the damage he takes to 0. On the last turn of the Duel, Kite activates "Message in a Bottle" to revive this card, "Photon Thrasher", and "Photon Pirate" with their ATK 0 and their effects negated. Kite then activates "Upshift" to target this card and make "Photon Thrasher" and "Photon Pirate" the same Level as this card (which was Level 8), Kite then overlays this card, "Photon Thrasher", and "Photon Pirate" in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".
  • In episode 59, this card appears in a flashback Yuma has when Astral notes to him that since he is being too cautious, he fears winning against Nistro.
  • In episode 60, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Astral has when he notes to himself that it's true that he and Yuma must not rush in unprepared against the remaining finalists.
  • In episode 63, Kite uses this card during his Duel against Vetrix. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Photon Crusher" (who counts as two Tributes via "Photon Spear"). Later Vetrix equips this card with "Heraldry Blast", which will inflict damage to Kite equal to half this card's ATK when it's destroyed. "Heraldic Beast Basilisk" attacks this card (Vetrix intends for the effect of "Heraldic Beast Baslisk" to destroy this card when it battles "Heraldic Beast Baslisk"), but Kite activates this card's effect to banish this card and "Heraldic Beast Basilisk". At the end of the Battle Phase, both monsters are Special Summoned back to the field. Later, Kite activates the effect of "Photon Satellite" to target this card and increase the Level of "Photon Satellite" by this card's Level. After Kite Xyz Summons "Number 9: Dyson Sphere", he equips this card with "Photon Wing" and activates its effect to detach "Photon Satellite" from "Dyson Sphere" and increase this card's ATK by 1800 (the increase is equal to the Rank of "Dyson Sphere" times 200) as well as allow this card to attack directly this turn. This card then attacks directly, but Vetrix activates "Heraldry Change" to Special Summon "Heraldic Beast Aberconway" and reduce the damage he would have taken by the Level of "Heraldic Beast Aberconway" times 1000. On Kite's End Phase, the effect of "Photon Wing" expires returning this card's ATK to its original value. In the next episode, this card attacks "Number 8: Heraldic King Genom-Heritage", but the latter isn't destroyed as this card is not a "Number". Later, Kite overlays this card and his two "Galaxy Knights" in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".
  • In episode 69, Kite uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Yuma and Shark against Dr. Faker. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Photon Crusher" and "Photon Slasher". After Dr. Faker activates the eighth effect of "Number 53: Heart-eartH" and Kite activates "Photon Prevent" in response (which was all done so that "Heart-eartH" would have no Overlay Units), this card attacks "Heart-eartH", but Faker activates the last effect of "Heart-eartH" to Xyz Summon "Number 92: Heart-eartH" by using only "Heart-eartH" for the Xyz Summon. In the next episode, the second effect of "Heart-eartH Dragon" switches all monsters controlled by Yuma, Shark, and Kite to Defense Position. Later Kite overlays this card and Shark's two "Hyper-Ancient Shark Megalodons" in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in flashback Dr. Faker has when he explains why "Heart-eartH Dragon" was summoned after "Heart-eartH" was attacked and how he was able to avoid losing when this card attacked "Heart-eartH".
  • In episode 72, Kite uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Photon Thrasher" and "Photon Crusher". This card attacks "Ganbara Knight" and Kite activates "Galaxy Burst" to negate the effects of "Ganbara Knight" and "Zerozerock" by halving this card's ATK. This card then destroys "Ganbara Knight". On Kite's End Phase, the effect of "Galaxy Burst" expires, returning this card's ATK to its original value. Later "Number 39: Utopia" attacks this card and Yuma activates the effect of "Utopia" to negate the attack. Yuma then activates "Flash Effect" to increase the ATK of "Utopia" by 800 and negate the effects of all face-up monsters. Kite activates "Battle Simulation" to halve the ATK of this card and "Utopia" and prevent both monsters from being destroyed by battle, but Yuma activates "Double Bind" to double the ATK of "Utopia" and negate any effects that prevent destruction by battle. "Utopia" then destroys this card. In the next episode, Kite activates "Galaxy Zero" to revive this card with its effects negated. This card attacks "Heroic Champion - Excalibur". Due to the third effect of "Galaxy Zero", this card loses 800 ATK. This card then destroys "Heroic Champion - Excalibur". At the end of the Battle Phase, the third effect of "Galaxy Zero" expires. Later Yuma activates the effect of "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray" to increase its ATK by 500 and decrease this card's ATK by 1000. "Utopia Ray" then attacks this card, but Kite activates the fourth effect of "Galaxy Zero" to send it to the Graveyard and prevent this card from being destroyed by battle. Due to the last effect of "Galaxy Zero", this card's ATK becomes 0. Due to the effect of "Zerozerock", the attack is nullified. On Yuma's End Phase, the effect of "Utopia Ray" expires. Later Kite overlays this card with "Galaxy Wizard" (who was Level 8 and treated as two monsters through its own effect) in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". After "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and "Utopia Ray" destroy each other in a Double KO. Yuma activates "Xyz Double Back" to revive "Utopia" and "Utopia Ray", but Kite activates his own "Xyz Double Back" to revive this card and "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". This card and "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" then attack and destroy "Utopia" and "Utopia Ray" respectively, winning Kite the duel.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Kite has when he realizes up until this point, he was a Number Hunter fighting for Hart's sake.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Yuma has when he reminds Astral on when they almost lost to Kite, when they used ZEXAL morph when they fought him again inside the Emperor's Key, and when they had a Tag Duel together to save Hart. These were all the reasons Yuma believed Kite was a strong Duelist.

Barian Invasion[edit]

  • In episode 75, this card appears above Kite as he readies himself to take out a bunch of Barian hypnotized thugs that are part of Fender's gang.
  • In episode 83, Kite uses this card during his Duel against Mizar. He Special Summons this card via its own effect by Tributing "Photon Thrasher" and "Photon Crusher". This card attacks "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" and Kite activates this card's effect to banish both battling monsters. At the end of the Battle Phase, this banished card and "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" are Special Summoned and this card gains 500 ATK, as "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" had an Overlay Unit when it was banished. After Mizar activates "Instant Overlay", he activates the effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" to return this card's ATK to its original value and negate its effects. Later, "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" attacks this card. Only this card was destroyed since it wasn't a "Number" monster. Mizar then activates the effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" to increase its ATK by 1000 (since Mizar activated "Tachyon Drive" during the Battle Phase) and let it attack again. "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" then attacks directly, but Kite activates the effect of "Photon Specter" to revive this card with its ATK reduced by 1000 and its effects negated as well as grant it immunity to destruction by battle this turn. A replay occurs and Mizar uses "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" to attack this card, but this card isn't destroyed. Later Kite activates "Upshift" to target this card and make the Levels of "Photon Thrasher" and "Photon Circle" the same as this card's (Level 8). Kite then overlays this card, "Photon Thrasher", and "Photon Circle" in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".

  • In episode 84, this card appears in a flashback Astral has when he wonders about "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" (as there were only 100 "Numbers") and made note of the tremendous energy he felt after both Kite and Mizar's "Galaxy-Eyes" monsters had appeared on the field.
    • This card also appears in the footage of Kite and Mizar's Duel, which was observed by Kite and Hart.
  • In episode 96, Kite uses this card during his Duel against Mizar. He Special Summons this card via the effect of "Starliege Lord Galaxion". Later Kite activates "Triangle Evolution" to treat this card as three monsters for an Xyz Summon. He then overlays this card with itself in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".

Mythyrian Numbers War[edit]

  • In episode 105, Kite is seen staring at this card and notices it is resonating as the group heads for the next Number ruins. Later this card resonates again as Yuma, Shark, and Kite climb to the top of the mountain where the ruins is. After Kite and Jinlon meet directly, the spirit of "Number 46: Dragluon" and this card's spirit resonate with each other. Later Kite uses this card during his Duel against Jinlon. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Overlay Sentinel and "Overlay Booster". Due to the second effect of "Dragluon", this card's effects were negated. After Kite activates "Book of Moon" to switch "Armed Protector Dragon" to face-down Defense Position, this card attacks and destroys "Armed Protector Dragon". In the next episode, this card attacks and destroys "Soul Drain Dragon" (whose ATK was 2400 through its own effect and the effect of "Desperate Maneuver" twice). The effect of "Soul Drain Dragon" activates, inflicting damage to Kite equal to half its ATK. Kite then activates "Destruction Reward" to draw two cards. Later Jinlon activates the last effect of "Dragluon" to take control of this card (Kite chose not to pay half his Life Points to destroy this card since this card was his partner and he would not betray it). This card attacks directly, but Kite activates "Destiny Break" to draw a card. Kite reveals "Galaxy Knight", so the attack is negated. Later, Kite activates "Destiny Overlay" to allow him to use monsters on either side of the field for an Xyz Summon. Kite then overlays this card and his two "Galaxy Knights" in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".

In the next episode, Scritch activates the second effect of "Number 2: Ninja Shadow Mosquito" to place a Hallucination Counter on this card (which also negates this card's effects). Later, this card attacks "Ninja Shadow Mosquito" and Kite attempts to activate this card's effect but it does not work and Scritch explains why. Due to the third effect of "Ninja Shadow Mosquito", it is not destroyed and Scritch chooses to make Quinton take the battle damage he would have taken. Quinton activates "Micron Force" to halve this card's ATK before the damage is subtracted from his Life Points. Later Scritch activates "Ninjitsu Art of Mosquito Combustion" to inflict 600 damage to each player for each monster they control that has a Hallucination Counter, but Quinton activates "Elastic Space" to make Scritch take the effect damage that he and Kite would take and make all effect damage he and Kite would take for the rest of this turn 0. Because of the hallucination Kite was under, he thought Scritch was Quinton and activates "Power Exchange" to reduce this card's ATK by the damage that Scritch would take and reduce the damage Scritch would take to 0. Later "Number 9: Dyson Sphere" attacks and destroys this card. Kite then activates "Prevent Reborn" to reduce the battle damage he would take by 1000 and revive this card (Quinton deliberately attacked in order to remove the hallucination Kite was under and help him regain his senses). Later, this card attacks "Ninja Shadow Mosquito" and Kite activates this card's effect to banish both battling monsters. At the end of the Battle Phase, this banished card and "Ninja Shadow Mosquito" are Special Summoned and this card gains 1000 ATK, as "Ninja Shadow Mosquito" had two Overlay Units when it was banished. After Scritch activates "Ninjitsu Art of Mosquito Repellent" to increase the ATK of "Ninja Shadow Mosquito" by 4000, Kite activates "Eternal Spell" to activate its effect as the effect of "Hologram Projection", which Kite uses to target this card and Special Summon "Eternal Spell" as a monster with the same stats as this card. Quinton then activates "Power Analysis" to change the ATK of "Dyson Sphere" to that of this card. He then activates "Paradox Synthesis" to Tribute "Dyson Sphere" and "Eternal Spell" and increase this card's ATK by the combined ATK of the Tributed monsters. Kite then activates "Miracle Galaxy" to conduct another Battle Phase. This card then attacks and destroys "Ninja Shadow Mosquito", winning Kite and Quinton the duel.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Scritch has when he explains that the effect of "Ninja Shadow Mosquito" didn't just prevent its destruction and nullify the battle damage that he would have taken.
  • In episode 120, this card appears in a flashback Shark when he realizes if the ironic fate that the friends he made as a human are now his enemies exist after he discovers he and Rio Kastle are truly Barians and that he is one of the enemies Yuma, Astral, and Kite are fighting against.

This card then attacks "Number 1: Infection Buzz King" and Kite activates its first effect to banish both battling monsters. At the end of the Battle Phase, this banished card and "Infection Buzz King" are Special Summoned and this card gains 1500 ATK, as "Infection Buzz King" had three Overlay Units before it was banished). Later Mr. Heartland activates the effect of "Infection Buzz King" to destroy this card and inflict its ATK as damage to Kite, but Kite activates "Prevent and Draw" to halve the damage he takes and draw a card, however Kite collapses before he can draw a card via "Prevent and Draw". In the next episode, Yuma (taking over for Kite) revives this card via "Returning Light" with 1000 less ATK. Later this card attacks an "Infection Bug Token" and Yuma activates this card's first effect to banish both battling monsters. Yuma then activates the effect of "ZS - Vanish Sage" to banish itself and Special Summon this banished card as well as banish all other monsters on the field with ATK less than this card. This card then attacks directly, winning Yuma the duel.

Barian Emperor Onslaught[edit]

  • In episode 128, this card appears in a flashback Quinton has when he explains to Yuma and Mizar the reason why Kite is heading to the moon is to check out the hypothesis pertaining to the legend of the dragons, specifically the Legend of the Dragons of Light and Time. Kite is shown taking this card out of his Deck after he and Orbital 7 find a monument pertaining to that legend within Jinlon's ruins. In the same flashback story, Kite is shown taking this card out when he explains to Quinton that besides wanting to see if the hypothesis is true, he also wants to prove to Mizar who the true "Galaxy-Eyes" master is.
    • Later, Kite is shown holding this card after Quinton and Trey lose to Mizar and as he heads to the moon. It begins radiating as Kite approaches the moon.
  • In episode 133, Kite notices this card resonating as he and Orbital 7 approach the moon, which is the birth place of the "Galaxy-Eyes".

After Mizar activates the second effect of "Chaos Number 107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon", this card's effects were negated. "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" then attacks this card, but Kite activates the effect of "Galaxy Tyranno" to overlay this card and "Galaxy Tyranno" while the latter is treated as two monsters in order to Xyz Summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". After "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" attacks and destroys "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", this card is sent to the Graveyard. Later Kite activates "Galaxy Rebirth" to revive this card. He then overlays this card and "Galaxy Rebirth" (due to the last effect of "Galaxy Rebirth", it is treated as a monster with the same Level as this card and can be used for an Xyz Summon while equipped) in order to Xyz Summon "Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon".
    • This card also appears in a flashback Orbital 7 when he reminds Kite that back in his Duel against Mr. Heartland, he noticed the look in Kite's eyes and that he is still weak from the duel against Mr. Heartland.
  • In episode 135, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Kite has when he explains to Mizar that this card guided him to meet Yuma and Astral.

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL manga[edit]

  • In Rank 8, Kaito Special Summons this card by tributing Number 10: Illumiknight and Number 20: Giga-Brilliant. In the next Rank, this card is attacked by Number 39: Utopia, but Kaito uses this card's effect to banish itself and Utopia until the end of the Battle Phase. This card attacks Utopia, but since this card isn't a Number Utopia isn't destroyed, but Yuma still takes damage. Later, Yuma manages to summon Number 17: Leviathan Dragon and activate Cross Attack doubling Utopia's attack points and allowing it to attack Kaito directly, but Kaito activates Photon Current, negating Utopia's attack and increasing this cards attack points by those of Utopia and somehow forcing the battle onto Galaxy-Eyes. Kaito then quits the duel, seeing Haruto's situation.
  • This card appears in a flashback in Rank 12.
