  • In the anime, this card's attack is called Spore Spear, and its effect is called Signal Check.
  • In the anime, this card had the following additional effect: "If your opponent chooses not to draw a card due to this card's effect, you must discard the top two cards of your Deck to the Graveyard."

Season 2[edit]

  • In episode 72, Jaden Yuki uses this card during his duel against Howard X Miller. He Special Summons this card via "Gachi Battle". The effect of "Monster Register" then activates, forcing Jaden to send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard. Jaden then equips this card with "Neos Energy", increasing its ATK by 800. Jaden then uses this card to attack. The effect of this card then activates, making X draw a card. The card is revealed to be "Super Guard", so Jaden can change the attack to a direct attack. This card attacks directly, but X activates "Compulsory Evacuation Device" to return this card to Jaden's hand. Later Jaden activates "Common Soul" to target "Trap Sluzer" and Special Summon this card to X's side of the field. Due to the effect of "Common Soul", "Trap Sluzer" gains ATK equal to the ATK of this card. Later "Elemental Hero Electrum" attacks this card, but X activates "Recycle Barrier" to make all Battle Damage to him 0 this turn. This card is not destroyed due to the effect of "Super Guard". Since Jaden had no cards in his Deck, this card's second effect activates, forcing X to discard the top two cards of his deck to the Graveyard. Jaden then uses "Elemental Hero Sparkman" to attack this card with "Super Guard" and "Recycle Barrier" preventing this card's destruction and negating all Battle Damage X would take. X then discards the two top cards of his Deck to the Graveyard due to this card's effect. Jaden then activates "De-Fusion" to return "Electrum" to the Extra Deck and revive "Elemental Hero Avian", "Elemental Hero Burstinatrix", "Elemental Hero Clayman", and "Elemental Hero Bubbleman". Jaden then uses "Avian", "Burstinatrix", "Clayman", and "Bubbleman" to attack this card with "Super Guard" preventing its destruction and "Recycle Barrier" preventing X from taking Battle Damage. With each attack, X loses the top two cards from his Deck due to the second effect of this card, which leaves him with only two cards remaining in his Deck. Jaden then activates "Instant Fusion" to fuse "Avian", "Burstinatrix", "Bubbleman", "Clayman" together and Fusion Summon "Electrum". "Electrum" then attacks this card, but "Super Guard" and "Recycle Barrier" prevent this card from being destroyed and prevents X from taking Battle Damage. Due to this card's effect, X loses the last two cards of his Deck. X then loses due to Deck Out, which wins Jaden the Duel.
    • This card is also shown when Jaden looks at his Deck after defeating Howard X Miller.
  • In episode 85, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Franz. After this card is summoned, Jaden uses this card to attack. The effect of this card then activates, forcing Franz to draw a card and reveal it. The card is revealed to be "Monster Reborn", so Jaden can change the attack to a direct attack, but Franz activates "De-Fusion" to separate himself from Ra, reduce the ATK and DEF of "Ra" to 0 and increase his Life Points by the amount of ATK that "Ra" lost. Jaden then uses this card to attack and destroy "Ra". After "Elemental Hero Neos" attacks directly, Jaden activates "Necro Illusion" to revive "Ra" under his control. After Jaden pays all but one of his Life Points to add the payed amount to the ATK and DEF of "Ra", Jaden Tributes this card and "Neos" to transfer their ATK and DEF to the ATK and DEF of "Ra".
  • In episode 88, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Chazz Princeton. After this card is summoned, Jaden uses this card to attack. The effect of this card then activates, forcing Chazz to draw a card and reveal it. The card is revealed to be "Silent Doom", so this card's attack can be changed to a direct attack. This card then attacks directly. Later Chazz activates "Ojama Delta Hurricane!!" to destroy all cards on the field.
  • In episode 103, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Sartorius. After Jaden summons this card, he Contact Fuses "Neos" with this card in order to Special Summon "Glow Neos".

Season 3[edit]

  • In episode 105, this card appears in a flashback Chazz has when he states there is nothing he regrets about Obelisk Blue when there is not a single Duelist in that dorm that respects him anymore.
  • In episode 130, Jaden uses this card during his Tag Duel with Jesse against Marcel Bonaparte while the latter was possessed by Yubel. He Special Summons this card via the effect of "EN Shuffle". After Jaden Normal Summons "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther", Jaden Contact Fuses "Neos" with this card and "Dark Panther" in order to Special Summon "Elemental Hero Chaos Neos".
  • In episode 134, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Zure, Knight of Dark World. After Jaden Normal Summons this card, he Contact Fuses "Elemental HERO Neos" with this card in order to Special Summon "Glow Neos".

Season 4[edit]

  • In episode 170, during Jaden's second Duel against Sartorius, this card is shown when Jaden searches his Deck to summon "Arcana Force 0 - The Fool".
    • This card is also seen when Jaden remembers all the cards that have helped in the past.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Jaden has when he realizes that Sartorius must have slipped "Arcana Force 0 - The Fool" into his Deck when he was checking it.
  • In episode 172, this card is shown in a flashback Jaden has when he realizes his "Polymerization" must have been tainted with darkness by the "Arcana Force 0 - The Fool" card Sartorius slipped in.
  • In episode 178, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Nightshroud. He activates "Hope for the Future" to send this card, "Aqua Dolphin", "Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab", "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" and "Air Hummingbird" from his Deck to the Graveyard. Jaden then returns this card, "Elemental Hero Neos", "Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin", "Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab", "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther", "Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird", and "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" from his field and Graveyard to his Deck in order to Special Summon "Elemental Hero Divine Neos". Jaden then activates the effect of "Divine Neos" to banish all six "Neo-Spacians" from his Deck in order to increase the ATK of "Divine Neos" by 500 for each "Neo-Spacian" banished this way as well as allow Jaden to grant "Divine Neos" any of the effects the banished "Neo-Spacians".
