Card Appearances:Poison Chain
- In the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, "Poison Chain" sent a number of cards equal to the total Levels of all "Iron Chain" monsters you control rather than simply the number of "Iron Chain" monsters you control.
- In episode 9, this card can be seen in Mr. Armstrong's hand during his Ground Duel against Yusei Fudo. In the next episode, Mr. Armstrong activates this card and "Paralyzing Chain" to counter against Yusei's "Nightmare's Steelcage". On Armstrong's Main Phase 2, this card's effect activates and since the combined Level of all Iron Chain monsters Armstrong controls is ten, this card forces Yusei to send the top ten cards of his Deck to the Graveyard. The effect of "Paralyzing Chain" then activates, inflicting 300 damage to Yusei. On Armstrong's next Main Phase 2, this card's effect activates again and since the combined Level of all Iron Chain monsters Armstrong controls is twelve, this card forces Yusei to send the top twelve cards of his Deck to the Graveyard. The effect of "Paralyzing Chain" then activates, inflicting 300 damage to Yusei. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
- In the second above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Yusei has when he tells Armstrong that when he learned the information from the security cameras were wrong, he should have been careful.
- This card's anime artwork depicts "Iron Chain Coil" and "Iron Chain Snake's" Levels being added up (4 + 3) and seven cards been taken from the Duel Disk. Its OCG/TCG art depicts "Iron Chain Snake" and "Iron Chain Coil", and the duelist removing 2 cards from their Duel Disk.
- This card's anime artwork also shows that in the anime, Iron Chain Coil was a Level 4 monster, while it is a Level 3 monster in the OCG/TCG.
