Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Anime[edit]

  • In episode 10, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma Tsukumo. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Friller Shark" and "Shark Stickers". Shark then activates this card's effect to detach "Friller Shark" and inflict 1600 damage to Yuma (400 for each card in his hand). After Shark activates "Mystical Space Typhoon" to destroy Yuma's set "Battle Break", this card attacks and destroys "Gogogo Golem". Later "Number 39: Utopia" attacks this card, but Shark activates the second effect of "Friller Shark" to negate the attack and reduce the ATK of "Utopia" by 500. On the last turn of the Duel, Shark activates this card's effect to detach "Shark Stickers" and inflict 800 damage to Yuma. After "Black Ray Lancer" attacks and destroys "Utopia" (whose effects were negated by the effect of "Black Ray Lancer"), this card attacks directly and wins Shark the duel.
  • In episode 11, Shark uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Yuma against Scorch and Chills. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Big Jaws" and "Shark Stickers". Shark then activates this card's effect to detach "Big Jaws" and inflict 1600 damage to Scorch (400 for each card in his hand). In response, Chills activates "Blizzard Egg LV5", which allows Scorch to Special Summon "Baggy Pants Lavasaurus" from his hand. Scorch then subsequently activates "Flame Egg LV5", which allows Chills to Special Summon "Icebergdon" from his hand. Later Scorch activates the effect of "Number 61: Volcasaurus" to destroy this card and inflict its ATK as damage to Shark.
  • In episode 25, this card appears in a flashback Yuma has when he remembers that the museum is where he and Shark both had a Tag Duel together and Astral remembers it's also where they got the fifth and sixth "Numbers" from.
  • In episode 26, this card is shown in a flashback Yuma has when he explains to Astral ever since he showed up he went from a constant loser to defeating strong opponents like when he Dueled Shark and Kite.
  • In episode 31, Shark uses this card during his Duel against an unknown WDC Duelist. He activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and inflict 1600 damage to his opponent (400 damage for each card in his hand), winning Shark the Duel.
  • In episode 46, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Big Jaws" and "Hammer Shark" (who was Level 3 through unknown means). Shark then activates this card to detach an Overlay Unit and inflict 1200 damage to Yuma (400 for each card in his hand). On Shark's next turn, this card attacks directly. Afterwards, Shark chooses to cancel the duel due to the darkness from "Number 32: Shark Drake" disappears.
  • In episode 84, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying two copies of "Starfish". After Shark Xyz Summons "Black Ray Lancer", he activates this card's effect to detach a "Starfish" and inflict 800 damage to Yuma (400 for each card in his hand). After Shark activates the effect of "Black Ray Lancer" to negate the effects of "Gogogo Golem", this card attacks and destroys "Gogogo Golem". On Shark's next turn, this card attacks "Gogogo Giant", but the latter wasn't destroyed due to "Gogogo Talisman". After "Shark Fortress" attacks "Gogogo Golem" and fails to destroy it due to "Gogogo Talisman", Shark activates the effect of "Shark Fortress" to allow this card to attack again. This card then attacks and destroys "Gogogo Golem" (whose effects were negated by "Black Ray Lancer"). This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 91, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Rio Kastle. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Big Jaws" and "Shark Stickers". Shark then activates this card to detach an Overlay Unit and inflict 1600 damage to Rio (400 for each card in his hand), but Rio activates the effect of "Guard Penguin" to Special Summon it from her hand and reduce the damage she would take to 0. Later Rio activates the effect of "Ice Beast Zerofyne" to negate the effects of all other face-up cards and reduce this card's ATK by 600 (300 for each card that lost its effects). After Rio equips "Ice Beast Zerofyne" with "Wings of Silence", "Ice Beast Zerofyne" attacks and destroys this card. Shark then activates "Ghost Salvage" to revive this card, "Big Jaws", and "Shark Stickers" with their effects negated. After Shark activates "Full Armored Xyz" to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer", he activates the second effect of "Full Armored Xyz" to equip this card to "Black Ray Lancer" and increase its ATK by this card's ATK. Later "Ice Princess Zereort" attacks "Black Ray Lancer" (whose ATK was 0 ATK due to the effect of "Ice Princess Zereort"), but Shark activates the final effect of "Full Armored Xyz" to send this card to the Graveyard and prevent "Black Ray Lancer" from being destroyed.
  • In episode 143, Nash uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Big Jaws" and "Skull Kraken". Shark then activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and inflict 400 damage to Yuma for each card in his hand. Nash has one, but Yuma activates "Damage Take-Over" to reduce the damage to 0 and make "Utopia" lose ATK equal to the damage he would have taken. After "Black Ray Lancer" attacks "Utopia" and Yuma activates the effect of "Utopia" to negate the attack, this card attacks "Utopia" (whose ATK was currently 1600), but "Utopia" was not destroyed due to this card not being a "Number" monster. Later "Utopia" (whose ATK was now 2400 due to the effect of "ZW - Sylphid Wing") attacks this card, but Nash activates "Rebirth of the Seven Emperors" to Tribute all his Xyz Monsters, Special Summon the banished "Chaos Xyz Barian Hope", and attach the banished cards "Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK", "Chaos Number 102: Archfiend Seraph", and "Chaos Number 103: Ragnafinity" to "Barian Hope" as Overlay Units (the number of monsters that are attached to "Barian Hope" are equal to the number of Tributed monsters' plus one).
    • This card also appears in a series of flashbacks Yuma has when he reminds Shark of all their previous Duels against each other where they clashed and clashed again.
