Card Rulings:A.I. Shadow
OCG Rulings
- When the card "A.I. Shadow" is activated, it targets 1 face-up "@Ignister" monster in your Monster Zone.[1]
- If the card "A.I. Shadow" is activated during the Damage Step, it can be activated from the start of the Damage Step until before damage calculation.[1]
- The effect that makes the targeted monster gain 800 ATK and forces your opponent's monsters to attack the targeted monster if able does not start a Chain Link.[1]
- The effect that draws 1 card starts a Chain Link. (It does not target.)[1]
- This effect always activates when this face-up card in the Spell & Trap Zone is sent to the Graveyard, or banished, by an opponent's card effect. (It activates even during the Damage Step.)[1]
- Q: An "A.I. Shadow" that was activated by targeting a "Dark Templar @Ignister" and an "A.I. Shadow" that was activated by targeting "Fire Phoenix @Ignister" are face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. In this scenario, during the Battle Phase of the opponent's turn, which monster can the opponent target for an attack when they declare an attack with a monster?
- A: In this scenario, since the effect of both copies of "A.I. Shadow" are being applied, if an opponent's monster declares an attack, at that time, the controller of "A.I. Shadow" chooses which monster is targeted for an attack (in this case, "Dark Templar @Ignister" or "Fire Phoenix @Ignister").[2]
