Q&A Rulings

  • Q: When my "Altergeist Meluseek" attacks my opponent's Attack Position "Link Infra-Flier", "Link Infra-Flier" is destroyed by battle and my opponent takes battle damage. When activating the effect of "Altergeist Meluseek" that sends a card on the field to the Graveyard, can I target that "Link Infra-Flier"?
A: When "Altergeist Meluseek" battles an opponent’s monster and destroys it by battle, and your opponent takes battle damage, the monster that was destroyed ("Link Infra-Flier" in this case) cannot be targeted with the effect of "Altergeist Meluseek". (If there are no other cards on your opponent’s field, you cannot activate the effect of "Altergeist Meluseek".)[1]
  • Q: When my "Altergeist Meluseek" inflicts battle damage to my opponent, can I activate its effect that sends a card on the field to the Graveyard targeting a Pendulum Monster?
A: When activating the effect of "Altergeist Meluseek" that sends a card on the field to the Graveyard, you can also target a Pendulum Monster. (In that case, the Pendulum Monster is not sent to the Graveyard, but is added face-up to the Extra Deck.)[2]
A: In this scenario, you may activate the effects of both "Altergeist Meluseek" and "Altergeist Kidolga". If both effects are activated, they are activated on the same Chain, in the order you choose.[3]
