Card Rulings:Armed Sea Hunter
TCG Rulings
- You cannot choose to destroy monsters that cannot be destroyed due to the effect of “Aegis of the Ocean Dragon Lord” instead of destroying “Armed Sea Hunter.”[1]
- The effect of “Armed Sea Hunter” to negate effects will still activate even if “Armed Sea Hunter” is destroyed by the battle.[1]
- The effect of “Armed Sea Hunter” to negate effects is continuously applied. If it destroys a monster like “Treeborn Frog,” the effect of “Treeborn Frog” that activates in the Graveyard will be negated.[1]
OCG Rulings
- No effect of "Armed Sea Hunter" targets.[2]
- The negating effect of "Armed Sea Hunter" will still activate when "Armed Sea Hunter" is destroyed by battle.[3]
- When a monster's effects are negated by "Armed Sea Hunter", its effects remain negated even after the Damage Step. When "Armed Sea Hunter" destroys "Treeborn Frog" by battle, the effect of "Treeborn Frog" will be negated and it cannot Special Summon itself during the Standby Phase.[4]
- If "Armed Sea Hunter" destroys a monster like "Mystic Tomato" or "Sangan" by battle, then the monster's effect will be negated even though it activates in the Graveyard.[5]
- If "Armed Sea Hunter" destroys "D.D. Scout Plane" by battle and "D.D. Scout Plane" is removed from play by "Macro Cosmos", then the effect of "D.D. Scout Plane" is not negated. It will be Special Summoned during the End Phase.[5]
- While the effect of "Aegis of the Ocean Dragon Lord" is active, Level 3 or lower WATER monsters cannot be destroyed. Thus, when "Armed Sea Hunter" is destroyed, you cannot choose to apply its effect which destroys a Level 3 or lower WATER monster instead.[6]
