OCG Rulings

  • The monster effect "While your LP is higher than your opponent's, if a Plant-Type monster you control attacks, your opponent cannot activate monster effects until the end of the Damage Step." is a Continuous Effect. (It is only applied while your LP are higher than your opponent's.)[1]
  • The monster effect "Once per turn, if you gain LP: Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change its battle position." a Trigger Effect. (This effect always activates once per turn if you gain LP. It activates even during the Damage Step.)[1]
  • The effect "change its battle position" targets 1 monster in a Monster Zone. (It can target a monster in either player's Monster Zone.)[1]
  • When the effect "change its battle position" is activated, if "Aromage Rosemary" is the only monster on the field, it targets itself.[1]
  • Even if "Book of Moon" is activated in Chain to the activation of the effect of "Aromage Rosemary" that changes battle positions, so that the targeted monster is flipped to face-down Defense Position by the time the effect resolves, the effect is applied normally. The targeted monster is changed from face-down Defense Position to face-up Attack Position.[2]
  • If an "Aromage Rosemary" you control attacked a "D.D. Warrior" the opponent controls, and as a result of that attack battle damage was inflicted and the opponent's LP became lower than yours, since the effect of "Aromage Rosemary" is applied immediately as a result of damage calculation being performed and your LP becoming higher, the effect of "D.D. Warrior" that activates after damage calculation does not activate.[3]
  • The effect of "Aromage Rosemary" that prevents the opponent from activating monster effects is a Continuous Effect. The effect can also be applied when a monster treated as Plant-Type by the effect of "DNA Surgery" performs an attack, but if the effect of "DNA Surgery" stops applying during the Battle Step as a result of the effect of "Mystical Space Typhoon" being activated, since that monster is not treated as a Plant-Type monster, the effect of "Aromage Rosemary" is not applied.[5]
  • The effect of "Aromage Rosemary" is applied when a face-up Plant-Type monster you control declares an attack, and it prevents the opponent from activating monster effects from the attack declaration until the end of the Damage Step. Since "Aromage Rosemary" is also a Plant-Type monster, its effect is also applied when "Aromage Rosemary" declares an attack.[6]
