  • Inflicting effect damage to your opponent equal to twice the battle damage you take does not start a Chain.[1]

Q&A Rulings

  • Q: During damage calculation, when a monster on my field is attacked, can I activate 2 copies of "Bye Bye Damage" by chaining one to the other?
A: If you did not already apply the effect of "Bye Bye Damage" that turn, you can activate 2 copies of "Bye Bye Damage" during damage calculation on the same Chain when your monster is attacked. However, since the effect of "Bye Bye Damage" can only be applied once per turn, in this situation the effect of the copy that was activated as Chain Link 2 will resolve normally, but the effect of the copy that was activated as Chain Link 1 will not apply.[2]
  • Q: During damage calculation, if I activate "Bye Bye Damage", but I take damage so that my LP become 0, what happens to my opponent's LP?
A: When the effect of "Bye Bye Damage" is applied, the battle damage you take and the double effect damage your opponent takes occur at the same time. Therefore, even if your LP become 0 as a result of taking battle damage, if the opponent's LP also become 0 as a result of taking the effect damage, the Duel is a DRAW.[3]
