Q&A Rulings
- Q: Is the effect of "Chaos Hunter" applied if "Macro Cosmos" is active?
- A: If you control "Chaos Hunter", since the "Your opponent cannot banish cards." effect is applied, even if your opponent controls "Macro Cosmos", no cards are banished. (Cards are sent to the Graveyard as usual.) If you control both "Chaos Hunter" and "Macro Cosmos", since it is not your opponent’s card effect, cards are banished as usual. (Both player's cards are banished.)[2]
- Q: Can your opponent activate "Bottomless Trap Hole" when you Summon "Chaos Hunter"?
- A: When you Normal or Special Summon "Chaos Hunter", the effect "Your opponent cannot banish cards." is applied, so the opponent cannot activate "Bottomless Trap Hole".[3]
- Q: "Chaos Hunter" is face-up in my Monster Zone. In this situation, can I activate "Smile Action" from my hand?
- A: Even in this scenario, you can still activate "Smile Action". In that case, since the effect of "Chaos Hunter" is applying, your opponent cannot banish any Spells from their GY, but you can still choose whether or not to banish Spells from your GY.[4][5]
