Card Rulings:Child's Play
OCG Rulings
- This card's effect that increases your LP does not start a Chain.[1]
- This effect is applied each time your opponent Normal Summons a monster (face-up), Flip Summons a monster, or Special Summons a monster face-up or face-down. (The effect can be applied during the Damage Step.)[1]
- If your opponent Special Summons 2 or more monsters simultaneously with Soul Charge, etc., you only gain 300 LP. (You do not 300 LP per monster.)[1]
- This card's effect that prevents your monsters from being destroyed by battle does not start a Chain.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: "Child's Play" is face-up in my Spell & Trap Zone, and my LP are exactly 10,000. In this situation, if my "Neo the Magic Swordsman" is attacked by my opponent's "Goblin Attack Force" and I take battle damage, will "Neo the Magic Swordsman" be destroyed by that battle?
- A: In this scenario, the damage is calculated while the effect of "Child's Play" that prevents your monsters from being destroyed is applying, so even if your LP fall below 10,000 as a result of that battle, your monster ("Neo the Magic Swordsman") is not destroyed.[2]
