OCG Rulings
- The effect "If it battles a LIGHT or DARK monster, destroy that monster without applying damage calculation" makes a Chain Link. (It does not target.)[2]
- The effect "destroy that monster without applying damage calculation" always activates at the start of the Damage Step when the equipped monster battles a face-up LIGHT or DARK monster. (The effect does not activate when it attacks an opponent's face-down Defense Position monster.)[2]
- The effect "When the equipped monster is removed from the field and this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can return this card to your hand" makes a Chain Link. (It does not target. It can be activated even during the Damage Step.)[2]
- The effect "you can return this card to your hand" cannot be activated if the monster equipped with "Core Blaster" leaves the field due to a card effect activated as Chain Link 2 or higher.[2]
