OCG Rulings

  • 'If you have a Machine Fusion Monster in your GY, your opponent cannot target this card with card effects, also it cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects' is a continuous effect.[1]
  • 'If this Fusion Summoned card you control is sent to your GY by your opponent's card: You can Special Summon 1 "Cyber Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or GY' is a trigger effect that activates in the Graveyard. (This effect does not target, and it can be activated during the damage step.)[1]
  • 'You can banish this card from your GY; this turn, your opponent cannot target Fusion Monsters you control with card effects, also they cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects' is an ignition effect that is activated in the Graveyard. (Banishing "Cyber Eternity Dragon" from the Graveyard is a cost to activate this effect.)[1]
  • 'This turn, your opponent cannot target Fusion Monsters you control with card effects, also they cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects' applies not only to face-up Fusion Monsters that you controled when this effect resolved, but also to Fusion Monsters that are summoned after this effect resolves.[1]

Q&A Rulings

  • Q: Can I activate the effect of "Cyber Eternity Dragon" by banishing it from my Graveyard, if there are no face-up Fusion Monsters on my field?
A: The third effect of "Cyber Eternity Dragon" will also be applied to all Fusion Monsters that are Special Summoned later in the turn, not just those that are face-up on your field when the effect resolves. Even if you have no Fusion Monsters on your field, you can activate this effect.[2]
