Card Rulings:Cybernetic Hidden Technology
OCG Rulings
- The activation of only the card "Prepare to Strike Back" can be performed at any time, except during the Damage Step.[1]
- The effect "When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send to the Graveyard 1 "Cyber Dragon" you control, or 1 Fusion Monster you control that lists "Cyber Dragon" as a Fusion Material Monster, then target the attacking monster; destroy that target" makes a Chain Link. (It targets the 1 opponent's monster that declared the attack.)[1]
- Sending a face-up "Cyber Dragon" or a Fusion Monster that lists "Cyber Dragon" as a Fusion Material to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect "destroy that target". (A face-down Defense Position monster cannot be sent to the Graveyard.)[1]
- If the card "Cybernetic Hidden Technology" is activated when an opponent's monster declares an attack, the effect "destroy that target" can be activated in the same Chain Link as the activation of the card.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - Sending 1 "Cyber Dragon" or Fusion Monster listing "Cyber Dragon" as a Fusion Material to the Graveyard is a cost. This effect targets the attacking monster.
- When you activate (flip face-up) "Cybernetic Hidden Technology" in response to an attack by your opponent's monster, you can also use its effect by paying its cost.
