- This card's effect that adds a Destiny Board or Level 8 Fiend monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand is the effect applied by activating this card. (It does not target.)[1]
- Discarding a card is the cost to activate "Dark Spirit's Mastery".[1]
- This card's effect that places Destiny Board and "Spirit Message" cards in your hand/Graveyard on the bottom of the Deck and draws the same number of cards is an effect that starts a Chain and activates in the Graveyard. (It does not target. Banishing this card from your Graveyard is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- Placing Destiny Board and "Spirit Message" cards in your hand/Graveyard on the bottom of the Deck and drawing the same number of cards do not happen simultaneously.[1]
