Q&A Rulings

  • Q: "Imperial Iron Wall" is face-up in my opponent's Spell & Trap Zone, and its effect that prevents players from banishing cards is applying. In this situation, what happens during my opponent's End Phase if I have "Five-Headed Link Dragon" on my field?
A: In this scenario, since it is your opponent's End Phase, the effect of "Five-Headed Link Dragon" that banishes 5 cards from your GY face-down must be activated. However, since the effect of "Imperial Iron Wall" is applying, you cannot banish any cards, and "Five-Headed Link Dragon" is sent to the GY.[2]
  • Q: There are no more than 4 cards in my GY.
However, since you cannot banish 5 cards from your GY, "Five-Headed Link Dragon" is sent to the GY. (In this case, you do not banish any cards in your GY.)[3][4]
