Card Rulings:Human-Wave Tactics
OCG Rulings
- The activation of only the card "Human-Wave Tactics" can be performed at any time, except during the Damage Step.[1]
- The effect "During the End Phase of each turn, select a number of Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck equal to the number of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters destroyed as a result of battle during that turn, and Special Summon them to your side of the field. The Deck is then shuffled" is an effect that makes a Chain Link. (The effect does not target. The effect activates only once per End Phase, during either player's turn.)[1]
- The effect "select a number of Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck equal to the number of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters destroyed as a result of battle during that turn, and Special Summon them to your side of the field" always activates during the End Phase of either player's turn if at least 1 of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters was destroyed by battle that turn. (It will not activate during a turn that none of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters were destroyed by battle.)[1]
- The effect "select a number of Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck equal to the number of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters destroyed as a result of battle during that turn, and Special Summon them to your side of the field" can only Special Summon a number of Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters equal to the number of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters destroyed by battle that turn. (If you cannot Special Summon the same number of monsters, the effect is not applied and you do not Special Summon any monsters.)[1]

- "Human-Wave Tactics" includes Tokens.
- If you have 2 "Human-Wave Tactics" then both effects are applied, so if 1 Level 2 or lower Normal Monster is destroyed in battle, then you Special Summon 2 monsters.
- If your monster is destroyed as a result of battle while on your opponent's side of the field, you can't get the effect of "Human-Wave Tactics" for that monster.
- If you don't have enough vacant Monster Card Zones to Special Summon as many monsters as you need to for "Human-Wave Tactics", Special Summon as many as you can, and the rest are destroyed. This is also true for multiple "Human-Wave Tactics", so if you have 2 "Human-Wave Tactics", and each wants to Summon 2 monsters, and you only have 3 Zones, Special Summon 3 monsters and destroy 1 monster.
