OCG Rulings

  • This card's effect that prevents your "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monsters from being destroyed by battle does not start a Chain.[1]
  • This card's effect that Special Summons a "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster from your hand starts a Chain. (It does not target, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
  • Tributing 1 "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster from your hand or Monster Zone is the cost to activate this effect.[1]
  • You can also Tribute a face-down Defense Position "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster in your Monster Zone to activate this effect.[1]
  • If you take battle damage, this effect is activated after damage calculation.[1]

Q&A Rulings

A: As in this scenario, if the effect of "Forbidden Lance" is applied to a "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster on your field, it is unaffected by the effect of "Incarnated Machine Angel" that prevents it from being destroyed by battle. If that "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster is destroyed by battle, you cannot Tribute it to activate the effect of "Incarnated Machine Angel". If you Tribute a different "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster from your hand or Monster Zone, you can still activate the effect "Incarnated Machine Angel".[2]
A: The Special Summon performed by the effect of "Incarnated Machine Angel" is treated as a Ritual Summon, but the "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster Tributed is only the cost to activate the effect, rather than Tributing for a Ritual Summon. Therefore, in this scenario, you can Special Summon a "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster with a lower Level than the Tributed monster.[3]
A: Since the Special Summon performed by the effect of "Incarnated Machine Angel" is treated as a Ritual Summon, you can still activate the effect of "Cyber Angel Dakini" when it is Special Summoned by the effect of "Incarnated Machine Angel".[4]
