Card Rulings:Infernal Incinerator
OCG Rulings
- "This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by discarding all other card(s) in your hand and Tributing 1 card you control with 2000 or more ATK" is not treated as an effect. (It is a condition to Normal Summon/Set "Infernal Incinerator".)[1]
- As the Normal Summon/Set procedure for "Infernal Incinerator", discard all cards in your hand other than the "Infernal Incinerator" being Normal Summoned/Set, Tribute 1 monster in your Monster Zone with 2000 or more ATK, then perform the Normal Summon/Set. (Discarding your hand and Tributing the monster are not treated as being done at the same time as the Normal Summon/Set.)[1]
- Because "Infernal Incinerator" is a Normal Summon Monster, it can be Special Summoned by other card effects.[1]
- The monster effect "This card gains 200 ATK for each monster your opponent controls. This card loses 500 ATK for each other monster you control" is a Continuous Effect. (If the number of monsters in either player's Monster Zone changes, its ATK changes immediately.)[1]

- Discarding your hand is a cost to Normal Summon or Set this card. It will not activate the effect of a card like "Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World".
- You must have at least 1 other card in your hand, besides "Infernal Incinerator", to discard when your Normal Summon or Set "Infernal Incinerator".
- This card can be Special Summoned (even from your Deck, with a card like "Monster Gate"). You do not have to discard your hand when you Special Summon this card.
- When you Normal Summon or Set "Infernal Incinerator", it does not start a chain even though you are using the monster's effect to do so.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Dark World: These effects only activate if the cards are discarded by a card effect. They will not activate if discarded for the cost of a card like ... “Infernal Incinerator”. ...
