Card Rulings:Liberty at Last!
TCG Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Konami before the introduction of Problem-Solving Card Text. Since the introduction of the new text structure, individual card rulings for the TCG are no longer issued or actively maintained.[2] They have never been formally overturned as a whole and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules and do not contradict card text. |
- You can target Tokens, Fusion Monsters, and Synchro Monsters with this card too. Tokens will simply disappear, and Fusions and Synchro Monsters will return to the Extra Deck.[1]
- You can activate this card when your opponent’s monster that you control is destroyed by battle and sent to their Graveyard.[1]
- If one of the targets is no longer face-up on the field when this card resolves, you still return the remaining target.[1]
- If you Chain this card to the effect of Rescueroid to return Rescueroid to the Deck, Rescueroid’s effect will not be applied.[1]
- If a monster attacks and destroys your Exploder Dragon and sends it to the Graveyard, and you Chain Liberty at Last! to return that monster to the Deck, it will return to the Deck and not be destroyed by Exploder Dragon’s effect.[1]

Rules posted online will be limited to super-complicated and really weird situations. Imagine going down to a dozen pages of card rules, instead of a thousand. It could happen.
